The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 221: Chapter 221: He Jing Awakens

Cheng Yuan suddenly remembered the red shadow that had flashed past. At the time, he’d thought it was just going to deliver a message. He never expected it was actually going to harm He Jing!

”Elder He, get me back to Miss He as fast as you can! Xiaojiu told me one of its wisps of Spiritual Sense is causing trouble!”

Startled, Elder He grabbed Cheng Yuan and raced off!

In less than twenty seconds, they were back in the inner courtyard, at the room where He Jing lay.

Bolstered by the wisp of Xiaojiu’s Spiritual Sense, the Yin Curse’s power had exploded!

It instantly went from being suppressed to launching a counterattack!

Even a mere wisp of Xiaojiu’s Spiritual Sense was not something an entry-level Mystical Technique practitioner like Divine Doctor Xue could ever hope to contend with.

The Spirit Soldiers and Spirit General Divine Doctor Xue had summoned didn’t last even three rounds before Xiaojiu’s power shredded them to pieces!

Without the protection of the Spirit Soldiers and Spirit General, the Dragon Qi was routed. The army of Pure Yang Qi lost its commander and fell into disarray, fighting individually and teetering on the verge of complete collapse!

Divine Doctor Xue was sick with frustration. He had been so close—so close to dispelling the Yin Curse!

But for some unknown reason, the Yin Curse’s power had suddenly multiplied several times over!

Beads of cold sweat broke out on Divine Doctor Xue’s forehead. His face was flushed crimson—he couldn’t hold on much longer!

’Divine Doctor Cheng! Why aren’t you back yet?! If you don’t return soon, this old one really can’t hold on any longer!’

But even at his absolute limit, Divine Doctor Xue grit his teeth and continued to fight the Yin Curse with every ounce of his strength.

Divine Doctor Xue knew full well that the moment he faltered, He Jing would instantly transform into a Yin Corpse. When that happened, everyone in the room would die!

”You’re just a measly Yin Curse! Break for me!!”

Divine Doctor Xue mobilized all his Spiritual Power and launched a final, desperate assault!

But not only did he fail to disperse the Yin Curse, the backlash caused his own heart meridians to fluctuate violently!

BLECH!

Divine Doctor Xue violently spat out a mouthful of blood!

Divine Doctor Xue roared, ”Divine Doctor Cheng! I did my best! I really can’t hold on any longer! Don’t blame me!!”

As he said this, his vision went black, and he began to pass out.

But just before he lost consciousness, Divine Doctor Xue saw a familiar figure!

It was Divine Doctor Cheng!

Divine Doctor Cheng was back!

A wave of relief washed over Divine Doctor Xue.

Cheng Yuan caught Divine Doctor Xue and infused a stream of pure Celestial Witch True Essence into him, stabilizing his heart meridians. He then sent in a tendril of Spiritual Power to calm the doctor’s turbulent Sea of Consciousness.

Once he was certain Divine Doctor Xue was out of danger, Cheng Yuan turned to look at He Jing on the bed.

Before, He Jing’s face had been tranquil and gentle.

As the saying goes, ’the face is the mirror of the heart,’ so He Jing must have been a very gentle and kind-hearted girl.

But now, her face was twisted into a ferocious, terrifying visage.

Suddenly, He Jing’s eyes snapped open. She sat bolt upright, her vicious gaze sweeping over everyone in the room as she sneered, ”Die! All of you will die!!”

The color drained from the faces of everyone in the room. ’Had Xiaojing undergone the transformation?’

Though terrified, the He Family stood united. They were courageous; not a single person fled.

THUD!

Zhao Min dropped to her knees, pleading, ”Divine Doctor Cheng! Please, I’m begging you, save Xiaojing! I’ll give you our entire family fortune!!”

Cheng Yuan quickly helped her up. ”Madam He, please don’t worry. Miss He has not undergone the transformation. I can cure her.”

With that, Cheng Yuan raised a hand to He Jing’s forehead and said gently, ”Xiaojiu, your enemy has been brought to justice. Wake up now!!”

He Jing clearly froze for a moment.

”Enemy? My enemy has been brought to justice? Who am I? Where am I? AAAAAHHH!! I’ll kill you!!”

He Jing let out an unhinged shriek and lunged, biting down on Cheng Yuan’s arm!

Elder He instinctively moved to intervene, but the attacker was his own granddaughter. Not wanting to harm He Jing, he stopped himself cold and shouted a warning instead, ”Divine Doctor Cheng, get away!”

Cheng Yuan didn’t dodge. He let He Jing bite down on his arm.

Just as before, He Jing froze. She could feel an energy emanating from Cheng Yuan that inspired both adoration and awe, an energy that felt incredibly comforting.

He Jing released her jaw and stared blankly at Cheng Yuan. The ferocious look on her face vanished, replaced by a docile expression.

”Brother, was it you who avenged Xiaojiu?”

”Yes, Xiaojiu. Disperse the Yin Curse at once. Once you return to your main body, you will understand everything.”

”Disperse the Yin Curse? Return to my main body?”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Xiaojiu carried out Cheng Yuan’s command.

It immediately turned on its former ally, attacking the Yin Curse!

The Yin Curse, normally as slippery as an eel, had nowhere to hide from Xiaojiu’s senses. Whether it was consolidated or scattered into fragments, Xiaojiu rooted it out with ease.

The same Yin Curse that even the Dragon Qi struggled against was as fragile as paper before Xiaojiu, easily torn to shreds.

Wisps of black energy seeped from He Jing’s pores, causing the temperature in the room to plummet. Despite this, the color returned to He Jing’s face at a visible rate, her complexion growing rosy once more.

Seeing these changes, the members of the He Family flushed with excitement.

They knew He Jing was finally recovering!

After completely expelling the Yin Curse, Xiaojiu decisively left He Jing’s body. A red light shot from the top of her head, flashed once, and then streaked away in the direction of the stables.

He Jing’s body went limp and started to fall, but Cheng Yuan, with his quick reflexes, caught her.

He Jing’s eyes slowly fluttered open. Having been unconscious for so long, her awareness was slow to return. She seemed dazed, looking around with the wide-eyed curiosity of a newborn baby.

Soon, her gaze fell upon Cheng Yuan’s face and fixed there.

No matter the species, a newborn is highly likely to imprint on the first living being it sees, treating it as family.

He Jing was now in a similar state.

He Jing felt an immediate sense of kinship with Cheng Yuan, feeling completely safe in his presence.

Gradually, her cognitive functions returned. However, having been unconscious for so long, her memories were a jumbled mess.

She had already developed a favorable impression of Cheng Yuan, and subconsciously believed he was the most important person in her life.

’Is this handsome guy my husband?’

’Or my boyfriend?’

He Jing suddenly threw her arms around Cheng Yuan’s waist, pressing her exquisitely beautiful face against his chest. ”Husband,” she murmured, ”what took you so long to come save me? I’ve been waiting for such a long, long time!”

Everyone was stunned. They looked at each other in bewilderment. ’What in the world is going on with Xiaojing?’

Cheng Yuan was just as baffled.

’What’s going on with He Jing?’

’Why is she hugging me?’

’And why is she calling me husband?’

’What is even happening right now?’

”Miss He, you must have me confused with someone else. We only just met for the first time today.”

As if she hadn’t heard a word he said, He Jing pouted. ”Husband, I’m a little cold. Hold me!!”

Cheng Yuan didn’t dare to move a muscle. He held his hands out, turned his head, and gave He Hongting and Zhao Min a wry smile. ”Director He, Madam He, this is...”

Zhao Min quickly came forward. ”Xiaojing, dear,” she said gently, ”Dr. Cheng is your doctor, not your husband. I’m your mother. Let Mommy hold you.”

Hearing this, He Jing seemed to think Zhao Min was trying to take Cheng Yuan from her. She hugged him even tighter, her voice growing tense. ”Husband, are you abandoning me? Then why did you save me? If you don’t want me, I’d rather die right now!!”
