The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 216: Chapter 216: Divine Doctor Cheng, I Was Wrong

Since achieving fame and success, when had He Hongting ever been so utterly humbled?

The rims of He Hongting’s eyes were already turning red.

But for the sake of his daughter, he had no regrets!

Cheng Yuan was shocked!

He Hongting was the Deputy Director of the Central Organization Department!

’A man of such immense stature is actually bowing to me?’

In that instant, all of his displeasure vanished.

Cheng Yuan quickly helped He Hongting up. ”Mr. He, your son was in the wrong, not you. There’s no need for this! I won’t leave! I swear I’ll cure your daughter!”

”Thank you, Divine Doctor Cheng! Please, I’m entrusting Xiaojing to you!”

Hearing this, He Zhendong immediately grew frantic and shouted, ”Dad, you must have been deceived by Cheng Yuan! I’ve investigated him! He’s not a medical student, and he spent three years in jail! There’s no way he knows any medical techniques! If you put Xiaojing in his hands, he’ll get her killed!”

He Hongting was livid. He pointed at He Zhendong’s nose and cursed, ”You defiant son! How dare you shout and make a scene here? Have you no sense of propriety? Elder Qin, take this insolent brat to the confinement room immediately! Lock him up for three months!”

”Yes!”

Elder Qin accepted the command and walked over to He Zhendong. ”My apologies, Young Master,” he said in an apologetic tone.

He Zhendong was beside himself with anxiety. ”Elder Qin, just a moment! I’ll go with you voluntarily in a minute!”

After saying that, He Zhendong whipped his head around and yelled at He Hongting, ”Dad! Has this Cheng guy put some kind of spell on you? Don’t trust him! He’s going to kill Xiaojing!!”

Divine Doctor Xue couldn’t listen anymore. He stepped forward to back Cheng Yuan up. ”Young Master He, Divine Doctor Cheng’s medical expertise and Mystical Techniques are heaven-defying, surpassing mine tenfold, even a hundredfold. If there is one person in this world who can cure Miss He, it can only be Mr. Cheng!”

He Zhendong recognized Divine Doctor Xue and knew his medical skills were incredible. A look of utter astonishment crossed his face. ”Divine Doctor Xue, are you serious? Is this... no, is this Divine Doctor Cheng’s medical skill really greater than yours?”

Divine Doctor Xue nodded without the slightest hesitation. ”Far greater! We’re not even in the same league. If Divine Doctor Cheng’s medical expertise is that of a PhD advisor, then I’m a middle school student at best.”

Hu Shishi, who was standing to the side, also chimed in. ”My grandfather had a bizarre illness that even Divine Doctors from all over the country were powerless against! We were lucky that Cheng Yuan stepped in; only then did my grandfather recover! If it weren’t for Cheng Yuan, my grandfather would still be bedridden! Or he might already be...”

Hearing this, He Zhendong no longer had the slightest doubt.

He Zhendong looked at Cheng Yuan with an incredibly complicated expression. ’I can’t believe this kid is such an incredible Divine Doctor.’

’It’s just not fair!’

’He’s so young!’

’His Martial Dao is this powerful, and his medical skills are just as potent? Is he trying to defy the heavens?’

He Zhendong suddenly strode toward Cheng Yuan. Hu Shishi grew nervous, but Cheng Yuan remained relaxed; he couldn’t sense the slightest hint of hostility from the other man.

With a heavy thud, He Zhendong fell to his knees!

SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!

He Zhendong viciously slapped himself a dozen times across the face, using both his right and left hands.

He wasn’t holding back; blood was already trickling from the corner of his mouth.

But He Zhendong was still afraid he hadn’t been hard enough on himself, that it wouldn’t be enough to placate Cheng Yuan.

”Divine Doctor Cheng, today was my fault! I sincerely hope you can forgive me! If you think this isn’t enough, you can cripple my limbs! Xiaojing is my little sister! She’s one of the most important people in my life! I’m begging you, you have to cure her!!”

In truth, Cheng Yuan’s anger had already vanished when He Hongting bowed and apologized.

Now that He Zhendong was kneeling and begging for forgiveness, how could Cheng Yuan possibly hold a grudge?

Cheng Yuan reached out and pulled He Zhendong to his feet. ”Young Master He, to be honest, I share some of the blame. I have a bad temper, and I wasn’t very pleasant on the plane.”

He Zhendong shook his head frantically. ”No, no, no! Divine Doctor Cheng, you’re not at fault at all! I’ve already looked into it—Miss Hu is your fiancée! If someone had designs on my fiancée, I’d probably be even angrier than you were! But I swear, on the plane, I had no idea that Miss Hu was your fiancée!”

Cheng Yuan nodded in understanding. ”No harm, no foul. As they say, some friendships start with a fight.”

As he spoke, Cheng Yuan suddenly grabbed He Zhendong’s right hand. With a RIIIP, he tore off the man’s bandage.

The action startled He Zhendong, but he didn’t pull away. Instead, he closed his eyes in resignation.

”Divine Doctor Cheng, if crippling one of my hands will make you feel better, go ahead!!”

Elder Qin shot a questioning look at He Hongting, who shook his head slightly, signaling him not to act rashly.

Watched by all, Cheng Yuan flicked his wrist. A needle appeared as if by magic. With a deft hook, he instantly picked apart the stitches in He Zhendong’s palm.

Cheng Yuan spoke with displeasure, ”They stitched this up without properly cleaning out the bone fragments? Who performed this surgery? How irresponsible! This would have ruined Young Master He’s future in the Martial Dao, wouldn’t it?”

Huh?

Everyone froze for a moment.

’The bone fragments weren’t cleaned out properly?’

’But several Divine Doctors consulted on this together just a moment ago!’

’And they even used a state-of-the-art CT scanner!’

”Young Master He, do you trust me?”

Only then did He Zhendong understand that Cheng Yuan wasn’t trying to cripple him, but to treat his injury.

”Divine Doctor Cheng, of course I trust you! But... can you stop calling me Young Master He? It feels so distant. I’m a few years your senior; if you don’t mind, just call me Brother Zhen Dong.”

”Alright, Brother Zhen Dong. I’ll set your bone for you.”

As he said this, Cheng Yuan produced several Silver Needles as if by magic.

FWIP! FWIP!

The Silver Needles precisely entered several acupoints on the back of his hand and wrist.

He Zhendong felt his hand go numb, as if he had lost all sensation in it.

Seeing Cheng Yuan about to perform surgery on the spot, He Hongting grew nervous. ”Divine Doctor Cheng, are you going to operate on Zhen Dong? Don’t you need to administer some anesthetic?”

Cheng Yuan smiled but didn’t say anything.

Divine Doctor Xue, standing nearby, quickly explained, ”Director He, this is one of Divine Doctor Cheng’s signature techniques—physical anesthesia! If you don’t believe me, just ask Young Master He if he can feel his right hand.”

He Zhendong quickly replied, ”I have no feeling in my right hand at all. I can’t even twitch a finger.”

Only then did He Hongting relax, his confidence in Cheng Yuan growing even stronger.

”Then we’re counting on you, Divine Doctor Cheng.”

Cheng Yuan gave a slight nod. Once again, as if by magic, a scalpel appeared in his hand. With a single, smooth motion, he sliced open He Zhendong’s palm.

He Zhendong instinctively squeezed his eyes shut, his body tensing up. But he quickly calmed down. There was truly no pain at all!

What shocked everyone most was that not a single drop of blood was shed!

He Hongting and Elder Qin exchanged a glance, a genuine sense of awe in their voices. ”Divine Doctor Cheng’s medical skill is truly incredible! This technique alone is enough for him to be considered unparalleled in the entire Traditional Chinese Medicine Community of the Dragon Country!”

Cheng Yuan didn’t reply. His concentration was at its peak, his Double Pupil activated to its fullest. Deep within the fracture, he found several tiny bone fragments!

The kind that even a CT scan couldn’t detect!

But if they weren’t removed, they would severely impact the dexterity of He Zhendong’s palm and could even hinder his future on the Martial Dao.

With a light flick of his scalpel, Cheng Yuan pried out the largest of the fragments.

”See? This is the largest of the fragments.”
