Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2709: Chapter 2645: Even More Famous

”I heard the snacks at Youqingwei are incredibly delicious. I heard you have coupons, right? We all want to give it a try. Can you give us a classmates’ price and let us use the discount coupons? We want to go for a tasting!”

Jiang Xiao was stunned.

What was going on?

Youqingwei has been open for quite a while. Some classmates from Capital City might have family who bought and ate there, but it hasn’t suddenly become this popular, has it?

Jin Lei explained with a smile beside her, ”This was stirred up by your roommates. I heard you gave your roommates some discount coupons before, and another roommate seems to have worked at your work-study program, right? She brought back a big box last time, saying it was a reward for diligent and outstanding performance at the workshop. Your roommate couldn’t bear to eat them herself, so she brought them to find you. But you weren’t there...”

Jin Lei felt a bit guilty as he spoke to this part: ”I cheered her on, and she split the snacks among classmates for tasting. The few classmates who tried them couldn’t forget them afterwards...”

Her roommate?

Qin Xiaojun? Wang Lili?

Also, the one working at her workshop, wasn’t that Xie Landi?

Jiang Xiao also remembered, the workshop indeed had such rewards.

She didn’t expect Xie Landi to perform so well and earn the reward in the first month, nor did she expect her to bring the snacks to class instead of eating them herself.

Jiang Xiao cast a sidelong glance at Jin Lei.

This guy quickly said, ”I meant well. I wanted to help you promote a bit, increase the teahouse’s fame. After classmates tasted them, they formed groups and went to the teahouse.”

However, after going to the teahouse, they were scared by the prices and ran back sheepishly.

Someone said that if Jiang Xiao was the boss, everyone could just rob her for a discount or something. Hence, they were all waiting for Jiang Xiao.

Jiang Xiao was caught between laughter and tears.

”Jiang Xiao, we all want to eat, but it’s too expensive, we can’t afford it. Can you give us a classmates’ price?”

”Yeah, Jiang Xiao, I still wanted to send some home, but it’s so expensive, how can I buy it? Come on, come on, Boss Jiang...”

Maybe because Jiang Xiao usually appeared generous and magnanimous, when she returned, everyone treated it as a playful chance to get closer to Jiang Xiao.

”I told them you’d definitely agree to give them a discount,” Jin Lei covered his mouth, lowered his voice, and said to her, ”I also told them as long as they promote for you after buying, that’s all that matters.”

He thought this method was good. Classmates would certainly spread the word, and Youqingwei’s reputation would grow, and business would improve. You shouldn’t be stingy about this kind of money.

Jiang Xiao also lowered her voice, ”Tell me, what’s your plan?”

”Haha, how did you know? I was thinking that since I’ve been promoting so hard for you, my birthday is coming in a few days. Could I invite friends to gather at Youqingwei, and could you give me a discount then?”

This guy.

”Alright, alright, since we’re all classmates, I’ll set a classmates’ price for you all, 25% off.”

”Yay! Jiang Xiao is the best!”

All the classmates cheered.

If they don’t buy much, just one or two snacks, a 25% discount still allows occasional visits to the teahouse for a sit-down and tasting.

Most importantly, it seemed like in school, a trend was quietly taking off; going to the Youqingwei Teahouse had become a very fashionable and tasteful thing to do.
