Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2175: Chapter 2111: Do You Want a Complete Family?

Ah Liu just smiled, ”I’ll tell you about it later. My memory is still a bit disorganized right now. Once I’ve sorted it out, I’ll let you know.”

Chiang Xiao and Meng Xinian exchanged a glance.

They both had no idea how much of his memory Ah Liu had recovered, as he had not shown any signs of it.

It seemed that whether or not he had regained his memory, he was pretty much the same.

Chiang Xiao didn’t have the same meticulous observation skills as Meng Xinian.

”By the way, are you hungry?” Ah Liu said, ”I was just thinking about a kind of sweet soup from D State and made a pot. I’ll get you a bowl.”

He suddenly made them sweet soup?

Since he made it, Chiang Xiao and Meng Xinian would definitely eat it.

Unexpectedly, the sweet soup Ah Liu made was quite tasty, and they hadn’t had it before.

As Chiang Xiao ate, she casually asked, ”Did my grandparents have some too?”

Ah Liu replied, ”No, right after you guys left, they went to rest.”

”So early today.”

Chiang Xiao didn’t think much of it.

When she finished eating, Meng Xinian took the bowl to the kitchen, thought for a moment, lifted the lid, and found there was no sweet soup left.

This meant Ah Liu hadn’t made any for the grandparents at all.

It’s unclear if he remembered things from the past and held a grudge against the Elders of the Chiang Family, or if, like him, he felt some resentment towards them.

Meng Xinian returned to the living room, pretending to know nothing, and said to the father and daughter, ”I’ll go wash up first.”

After he left, Ah Liu looked at Chiang Xiao and suddenly asked, ”Little, can I ask you something? Will you answer honestly?”

”What is it?”

”Have you ever thought about having a complete family?”

Chiang Xiao was taken aback.

She hadn’t expected Ah Liu to ask her such a question.

Honestly answer?

Chiang Xiao recalled her past self.

Back then, she truly had thought about it.

But after going through so much and seeing what Chen Zhu was like, she really hadn’t thought about it anymore.

”What do you mean by a complete family?”

”You know what I mean.”

”Dad, to be honest, I absolutely don’t want a biological mother,” Chiang Xiao said candidly, whether or not he had recovered his memory. ”As for a stepmother, does my opinion really influence your decision?”

”Of course, you’re my only daughter, so naturally, your opinion matters most.”

Ah Liu’s gaze flickered, but he didn’t continue to ask why she said she absolutely didn’t want a biological mother.

Chiang Xiao said, ”Then let me give you some feedback, Dad. Speaking of the Jiang Family, there always needs to be an heir. Right now, I’m your only daughter, but I won’t inherit the Jiang Family in the future. You’re still young. Do you need to remarry and have a son to cultivate as the future heir of the Jiang Family?”

Ah Liu found talking with Chiang Xiao quite interesting.

Having missed her childhood, he felt she was only eighteen now and wanted to treat her like a little girl. However, conversations with her always left him with the impression that she was more mature than he expected.

”Honestly, when Dad takes over the Jiang Family, this question will undoubtedly come up from time to time,” Ah Liu said. ”Dad doesn’t necessarily need to marry and have a son to be the heir. In the future, Ah Cheng’s son, or your and Xinian’s son, if you wish, can take over the Jiang Family.”

Chiang Xiao was surprised to hear him say this.

Does this mean he doesn’t hold the belief that only his own son can take over the Jiang Family?
