Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 725: Chapter 726: I Will Hit You

The middle-aged man sitting next to Chiang Xiao couldn’t stand it any longer and said with great seriousness, ”I think the young lady has done nothing wrong. It’s her own thing, she has the right to decide whether to lend it to this child or not. If she lends it, the child’s parents should thank her. If she doesn’t, no one has the right to blame her.”

Chiang Xiao turned to him and said, ”Thank you, uncle, for speaking up for justice.”

The phrase ’speaking up for justice’ seemed to amuse the middle-aged man, ”You’re welcome.”

Some people were embarrassed into silence by the middle-aged man’s words.

Now the child became even more unyielding, immediately sliding down to the ground, looking up and starting to cry and wail loudly.

”I don’t care, I want that cup! I want that cup!”

The fashion-conscious woman and her husband exchanged a look, both feeling powerless and getting somewhat angry. They felt helpless about their son, but their anger was directed at Chiang Xiao.

Floral Shirt Man took out a bill from his pocket and handed it to Chiang Xiao.

”How about this, I’ll buy that cup from you!”

Chiang Xiao’s face turned cold, ”I’m not planning to sell it.”

”It’s just a broken cup, why not sell it? Don’t you have a water bottle?” Floral Shirt Man got angry, glared at Chiang Xiao, ”You don’t drink from this cup anyway, what’s wrong with selling it to me?”

”Sell sell sell!” Qing Qing also started crying, and crawled towards Chiang Xiao, reaching out to grab her backpack.

Seeing this, the middle-aged man hurried to block him.

”I’m saying, sir, she’s a young girl, it’s something she likes, no matter whether she uses it or not, you have no right to force her to sell it!”

”What’s it to you? Maybe you don’t feel bad because it’s not your child throwing a tantrum?” The fashion-conscious woman had already had some issues with him, and her eyes widened at his words, ”What if my child gets sick from crying too much?”

”That’s your child.” Chiang Xiao replied firmly and then, holding her backpack, she turned to the child with a stern face and said, ”If you try to grab my bag again, I will hit you.”

The child’s temperament was a bit like Chiang Lidong’s. She had long since lost all patience for such bratty children, so she felt no guilt about threatening him coldly.

As soon as the child heard her, he immediately burst into tears and then lunged at her. His little fists fiercely pummeled her as he cried and shouted, ”I’ll beat you to death, you nasty girl! Beat you to death! Beat you to death! I’ll go tell my grandpa, and my grandpa will help me beat up the bad girl! Beat her to death!”

The middle-aged man tried to grab his hand, but Floral Shirt Man reached out and grabbed him, ”Are you trying to hit my son?”

”Let go! It’s your son who is hitting people now!”

”How old is the child? Just having a tantrum, can he really hurt someone?” Floral Shirt Man sneered and glanced at Chiang Xiao dismissively.

The fashion-conscious woman cooed to her child but just watched, not coming over to pull him away.

The people in the adjacent seats were also watching, and someone muttered an exasperated ”So noisy”.

Chiang Xiao kept a stern face and pushed the child away.

With a thud, the child fell down on his bottom, looked bewildered for a few seconds, and then started kicking his legs and crying out loud, ”Daddy, mommy, she hit me...”

At this, the fashion-conscious woman couldn’t hold back anymore and stood up abruptly. She slapped towards Chiang Xiao’s face, ”How dare you hit my son, you little wretch?”

Her hand had not yet touched Chiang Xiao’s face when it was caught by her. Chiang Xiao held her wrist with one hand and slapped her across the face with the other.

The crisp sound of a slap stunned everyone present.
