Supreme Warrior in the City

However, as Su Yang stepped back, he experienced a slight resistance.

This resistance came from his hand. Su Yang saw clearly that the young sprig in his hand was slowly bending toward the Tai Chi Diagram. The slight resistance was from this sprig, as if it had a desire to approach the Tai Chi Diagram.

Su Yang was stunned. What was happening?

The sprig actually wanted to get closer to the Tai Chi Diagram. Did it have its own consciousness? If it was conscious, why didn’t it respond when he talked to it?

Moreover, why would it want to approach the Tai Chi Diagram? You’re a branch of a tree; you’d be better off close to the soil. Once you touch this Tai Chi Diagram, it will dissolve you. Are you just idle and want to get closer to the Tai Chi Diagram?

Su Yang tried to pull the sprig back, but the sprig even more forcefully stretched toward the pit, as if resisting Su Yang, or perhaps it was very interested in the Tai Chi Diagram inside the pit.

”Hey, what are you up to?” Su Yang said blankly: ”That Tai Chi Diagram can dissolve anything. Do you want to integrate into it?”

The sprig wouldn’t answer, only strained more toward the Tai Chi Diagram. It seemed poised to leap into the pit.

”What on earth are you trying to do?” Su Yang looked helpless, was it walking into a trap on purpose?

After some stalemate, Su Yang realized that the sprig’s power was remarkable. It began with just a slight lean that way, but the sprig’s power grew stronger, and Su Yang found himself barely able to hold onto it.

”What’s going on?” Su Yang frowned, looking at the sprig in his hand, then at the Tai Chi Diagram. After pondering for a moment, Su Yang suddenly gritted his teeth and slowly released his grip.

The sprig, freed from control, flew directly into the pit, descending towards the Tai Chi Diagram.

Standing at the edge of the pit, Su Yang watched nervously. He was only trying out of curiosity, without knowing the results.

However, since he had acted, he couldn’t take it back. All he could do was pray in his heart, hoping the sprig would be okay.

Under Su Yang’s gaze, the sprig fell above the Tai Chi Diagram. It drifted down, landing right at the junction of chaos and space.

Su Yang saw clearly as the sprig dropped, its root entered the Tai Chi Diagram, while the green leaves remained outside.

This scene felt as if a part of a tree branch had been planted into the soil.

Moreover, what shocked Su Yang the most was that the anticipated dissolution by the Tai Chi Diagram didn’t occur upon contact with the sprig.

On the contrary, the withering part at the root of the sprig visibly began to turn green, seemingly regaining vitality.

Su Yang’s eyes widened in incredulity.

The sprig was actually able to absorb nutrients from within the Tai Chi Diagram? Just like the roots and stems of the Chaos Flower?

How could this be? Could the sprig really compare to the roots and stems of the Chaos Flower?

Su Yang felt a stir of excitement. He had always wanted to extract some nutrients from the Tai Chi Diagram to understand its secrets.

However, he dared not go down himself, nor could he find a useful tool, leaving him helpless.

Now, the sprig could absorb nutrients from the Tai Chi Diagram and remain unharmed.

Could this mean that through the sprig, he could acquire some Tai Chi Diagram nutrients, allowing him to study just what those nutrients were?

Perhaps, following this clue, he could investigate the seven coffins inside the black hole and uncover the identity of those seven individuals!

Seeing the sprig with one end immersed in the Tai Chi Diagram absorbing nutrients, Su Yang decided not to rush, sitting down beside it to quietly wait.

The sprig could rush down by itself earlier, so surely it could come back up too.

He sat there for an indefinite time, and just when Su Yang doubted whether the sprig would return, suddenly, the sprig flew up from below and appeared before him.

Now, the sprig had regained its lush green without any sign of withering.

Furthermore, most crucially, the sprig now bore not just a single green leaf, but a dozen. It resembled a thriving branch with young leaves covering it.

The root of the sprig had also changed, displaying small filaments resembling sprouting roots.

Su Yang stared in astonishment; he didn’t expect that after absorbing nutrients from the Tai Chi Diagram, the sprig would transform like this.

Judging by this, if the sprig were planted in the soil, could it grow into a towering tree?

Gently touching the branch, there was no trace of power fluctuation. Holding the branch, Su Yang sensed a strange life aura; the branch was filled with life force!

Holding the branch, Su Yang tried to touch the root to sense the nature of the Tai Chi Diagram’s nutrients.

However, at the root of the branch, no residues of nutrients remained, and Su Yang couldn’t perceive anything special.

But when Su Yang lifted his hand, something strange happened.

The root filaments of the branch unexpectedly adhered to Su Yang’s hand.

Su Yang shook his hand, trying to rid himself of the branch, but no matter how he tried, it wouldn’t come off. The branch was completely stuck.

Upon closer inspection, Su Yang discovered in shock that the root filaments of the branch had grown into his flesh.

No wonder he couldn’t shake off the branch; the branch’s roots had taken root and sprouted in his hand, now growing together with his flesh. How could it be removed!

This realization left Su Yang utterly stunned.

What was happening with this branch? Why was it integrating with his body? Was the branch treating his body like soil to once more grow into a tree?

Although unsure of the exact details, Su Yang dared not delay. He reached out with his other hand to grasp the branch, attempting to pull it out.

But, the branch felt tightly bound with his hand. No matter how forcefully he pulled, the branch wouldn’t come loose.

It was as if the branch had merged with his flesh, removing the branch felt no different than pulling at his own body, like the branch had become another finger, incredibly strange.

Crucially, once the roots entered his flesh, the branch continued burrowing deeper. Judging by its posture, the entire branch was about to tunnel into his flesh!
