Supreme Warrior in the City

”What’s wrong with me?” The Light Main God smiled faintly, casting a sidelong glance at the First God. ”If you have something to say, speak it directly. Why be so hesitant?”

The First God took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the anger in his heart. Indeed, he wanted to act, but he also understood his current situation.

In terms of numbers and strength, they could certainly defeat the Light Main God. But the problem was, he had expended half of his power, and now his strength was far from sufficient. If they truly fought, they could win, but it would come at a significant cost.

”Forget it!” The First God gritted his teeth and waved his hand. ”With the imminent great war with the Human Clan, now is not the time for us to settle personal grudges. I won’t waste words on you. Since the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet has returned, none of you should remain idle. In the last great war, the number of our fallen was truly too great; it’s time to bring them back!”

These words were acknowledged by all present.

The First God personally acted, taking out that half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet. Using this half, he activated the Array to begin guiding back the fallen Guardian Gods.

The first one the First God brought back was the Heavenly Sect. The Heavenly Sect had self-destructed in the last battle to destroy Su Yang. Upon being guided back, he was extremely weak.

The First God was straightforward, immediately infusing a stream of power into the Heavenly Sect, allowing the Heavenly Sect to recover directly. However, for the Heavenly Sect to return to the ranks of the strongest, he would still need to cultivate for some time.

Seeing his father, the Heavenly Sect was overjoyed and hurried to the First God’s side excitedly, saying, ”Father, how is it? Did we finally win?”

The First God glanced at the Heavenly Sect, unwilling to tell him the harsh reality.

”If we had really won, would your father still be in this state?” The voice of the Light Main God rang out from behind.

”My father? What’s wrong with his strength?” The Heavenly Sect asked in surprise. Although he was one of the strongest, he hadn’t yet recovered his strength to that level and naturally couldn’t see that the First God had expended half of his power.

The Heavenly Sect had had his foundation severed by the Heaven Slayer, breaking his Dao heart. Being able to preserve his Spiritual Sense and reincarnate was already a feat. To return to the ranks of the strongest would require consuming considerable resources and time.

”Your father broke through the seal of the Immortal Palace, expending half of his power!” The Light Main God stated directly.

”What?” The Heavenly Sect panicked. ”Didn’t we retrieve that half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet? What’s going on?”

The First God sighed, continued to guide the Guardian Gods with the Array, and recounted the events that had transpired.

Having heard this, the Heavenly Sect was also dumbfounded.

”The Earth Principle? The Earth Principle has always been with that Su? How did we not know? How did I not know?” The Heavenly Sect exclaimed in surprise.

”Not just you, we never knew either!” The Dark Main God sighed heavily, saying, ”Those Heavenly Warriors are truly cunning. They found the Earth Principle long ago, but they’ve always concealed its aura. Not only that, they even sent Su Yang into Chaos to pretend to search for it, misleading us into thinking they hadn’t found it. In fact, they concealed the aura of the Earth Principle, hiding it within Su Yang’s Divine Soul. It wasn’t until the final battle that they unleashed it, causing us to fail miserably. Otherwise, that Su would have perished long ago!”

The Heavenly Sect looked extremely displeased. ”Those Heavenly Warriors are truly insidious, capable of anything!”

”With the Earth Principle in his possession, that Su is surely destined to advance to the ranks of the strongest!” the Eternal Main God said solemnly. ”This individual is one of the earliest prime beings, possessing both the Undying Golden Body and Undying Bone. If he ascends to the ranks of the strongest, he will be an immensely formidable rival for us!”

”Thus, the most critical thing for us now is to prevent this individual from rising!” The Light Main God said leisurely. ”Under no circumstances can we allow this individual to ascend to the ranks of the strongest!”

”How do we prevent it?” the Eternal Main God frowned.

”Just kill him!” The Light Main God smiled. ”Use the power of the Heavenly Dao to utterly erase him, making him vanish forever!”

”That sounds simple, but don’t forget, he bears the Earth Principle. Even with the power of the Heavenly Dao, erasing him won’t be easy!” The Dark Main God shook his head.

”Then it depends on how we act!” The Light Main God smiled. ”If the strongest make a move and combine it with the power of the Heavenly Dao, they can definitely annihilate him completely!”

”I reckon the Human Clan’s strongest are also guarding against this. Even if the strongest were to act, they might not get close to him!” The Dark Main God shook his head. ”I don’t think this plan is a good one.”

”This is not a plan, but a proposal,” The Light Main God said. ”I am simply proposing that if we ever encounter an opportunity, we must kill him immediately. This person, once he grows, will be a dire threat to us. So, we must not let any opportunity slip. Moreover, all you strongest should not concern yourselves with mere face. If we don’t kill this person, it will only trouble us more in the future. Therefore, don’t say nonsense about respecting identity and not acting against cultivators below the strongest rank, because that’s just foolish!”

The strongest exchanged glances with one another and finally nodded slowly.

In previous great wars, the strongest rarely attacked those below their rank; they were almost never involved. For the strongest, attacking those inferior felt like a disgraceful act.

Thus, whether it was the strongest of the Human Clan or those of the Guardian Gods, they respected their status and wouldn’t attack cultivators below their level.

Even when the Heavenly Sect took on the Female Sword Saint and the Eternal Divine Emperor, it was before he became one of the strongest. After ascending to the rank of the strongest, he basically never engaged in such deeds again.

And now, they were making an absolute exception for Su Yang. No matter what, they would not allow Su Yang to ascend to the rank of the strongest!

”Given all that has been said, let us finalize it. Regardless of who among us encounters an opportunity, act immediately and kill Su Yang. He must not be allowed to continue developing!” The First God said solemnly.

All present nodded in unison; rarely were they so united on an issue.

The First God turned to the Heavenly Sect and said, ”Heavenly Sect, during this time, don’t wander outside. Those Human Clan’s strongest might want to kill you, to eliminate a grave threat. Stay here; with the aid of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet, you’ll definitely be able to recover your strength to that of the strongest in the shortest time. By then, those Human Clan’s strongest won’t be able to do anything to you!”

The Heavenly Sect nodded vigorously, ”I understand!”
