Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang and the others detected the presence of the Chaos Flower and quickly headed towards the source of the aura.

Even so, it still took them a full two years to reach the location of the Chaos Flower.

The chaos was a vast expanse of gray, but here, Su Yang and the others could see a distant light point, emitting a gentle glow amidst the chaos.

The aura was undoubtedly coming from there; that light point was the location of the Chaos Flower.

The few people with Su Yang were overjoyed; after such a long journey, they could finally see the Chaos Flower.

They did not know that consuming the Chaos Flower would take a long time, but in their view, getting their hands on it first and letting Ye Wantong consume it would mean they had won. Then, the Human Clan would have one more of the Strongest, capable of defeating the Guardian God.

Now, with the Chaos Flower almost in sight, everyone’s hearts were filled with excitement. Could this victory be too easy?

The group quickly moved towards the light point, and as they closed in, the light grew clearer.

Finally, they saw the full view of the light point.

It was a blooming flower, not large, resembling a common rose. Its vibrant color emitted a gentle glow.

Beneath the flower was a seemingly ordinary plant, but its roots extended into a patch of darkness.

It was hard to imagine such a mass of darkness could exist in the gray chaos.

Su Yang and the others reached the vicinity of the Chaos Flower. Watching the blooming flower, the Supreme Dragon Emperor exclaimed excitedly, ”Great, we got here first. Su Alliance Leader, let’s quickly pluck the Chaos Flower and let the Female Sword Saint consume it; then our task will be complete!”

The Suffering Buddha, Immortal Titan, and Eye of Chaos all nodded in agreement. With twenty-two strong forces equivalent to theirs from the Guardian God’s side, any confrontation would surely put them at a disadvantage. Ending this situation as soon as possible was the best choice.

Su Yang did not hesitate; he stepped forward, took a deep breath, and slowly reached out to pick the gently glowing Chaos Flower.

The process of picking the Chaos Flower was simple, like picking an ordinary flower, encountering no resistance.

After the Chaos Flower was picked, the stem’s base quickly wilted and retracted into the darkness. Soon, that darkness faded and disappeared as if it had never existed.

Seeing this, they were all shocked, unclear about what the darkness was.

But it didn’t matter now that the Chaos Flower was theirs.

Su Yang handed the Chaos Flower to Ye Wantong, who awkwardly said in a low voice, ”Perhaps... you four seniors should take it?”

”No need, we four old guys won’t waste such a treasure,” the Supreme Dragon Emperor replied. ”Your father didn’t come here to give you this opportunity for nothing. If we, the old guys, were to snatch it from you, wouldn’t it be embarrassing?”

”The Female Sword Saint was the most likely to advance to the Strongest I’ve seen; unfortunately, she perished. You’ve inherited her legacy, so you must expand upon it. Consuming this Chaos Flower and advancing to the Strongest is the only way to honor the Female Sword Saint’s legacy and justify her demise.”

”Don’t refuse; if we said we’d let you eat it, we’re not going to take it.”

With everyone’s urging, Ye Wantong could not refuse and eventually swallowed the Chaos Flower.

As soon as the Chaos Flower entered her stomach, Ye Wantong froze.

The others watched her intently, and the Supreme Dragon Emperor asked excitedly, ”How do you feel? Do you feel like you’re advancing to the Strongest?”

Ye Wantong’s expression hardened, her mouth slightly open, unable to make a sound. At that instant, she felt as though she had been frozen, unable to even twitch her little finger.

”Why aren’t you speaking?” the Immortal Titan asked in astonishment. ”Could there be something wrong with this Chaos Flower?”

It was then Su Yang spoke up: ”The Chaos Flower is not the problem!”

”Then what’s going on here?” everyone asked in surprise.

Su Yang looked at Ye Wantong, took a deep breath, and spoke in a deep voice, ”It seems I wasn’t wrong; the Chaos Flower is not so easily digested!”

”Huh?” they were taken aback. ”Not easily digested? What’s the situation here?”

”With my understanding of the Earth Principle, after swallowing the Chaos Flower, it will take time to digest,” Su Yang stated solemnly. ”No wonder the Guardian God agreed to my request. They have the Ancient Seven Heavenly Venerables, the will of the Heavenly Dao, and surely know about the Chaos Flower. They aren’t in a hurry to snatch it because as long as the Chaos Flower isn’t digested, the matter isn’t over. Their real purpose is to hunt us down and take the Chaos Flower from us!”

The four looked at each other in dismay. If that were true, it would be troublesome. They were only six against the Guardian God’s twenty-two.

Moreover, in her current state, Ye Wantong would likely be unable to act, leaving just the five of them.

”What now?” the Supreme Dragon Emperor asked anxiously. ”Should we have the Female Sword Saint spit out the Chaos Flower and evade the Guardian God first?”

”Useless!” Su Yang shook his head. ”If she spits it out, it’ll never be digested. Do we plan to hide from the Guardian God forever?”

”What do you suggest then?” the Supreme Dragon Emperor inquired, intrigued.

Su Yang gazed into the distance and said softly, ”If I’m right, the Guardian God not only knows the properties of the Chaos Flower but should also have a way to find it. With the Chaos Flower here, they can sense it, so we can’t avoid them!”

Their faces changed again; does that mean there’s no hope?

”Therefore, hiding from them here is meaningless.” Su Yang paused and said coldly, ”The best strategy is to eliminate them all!”

”Huh?” The four widened their eyes, bamboozled by Su Yang’s suggestion. Was he insane, suggesting they eliminate them all? Did he realize how many there were?

”Us five... against twenty-two?” the Eye of Chaos blinked. ”Those twenty-two are no weaker than us. They’re not like the ones we faced before. Some came from the Immortal Palace, some followed other Strongest; they’re all terrifyingly powerful. Any single one is hard to deal with!”

”In the Great World, that’s true. But now, we’re in the chaos!” Su Yang smiled. ”Here, it’s our turn to have the upper hand!”
