Supreme Warrior in the City

”The problem lies right here!” Emperor Slave said: ”The Heavenly Dao is the rule of space, and the rule of space aims to make this space better and bigger. This rule is beneficial to the space but not necessarily beneficial to life. Everything defined by the rule is to make the Great World bigger and better; it doesn’t matter if there’s no life, as long as the Great World gets bigger and better. Therefore, at certain times, the Heavenly Dao will have the Guardian God erase some lives to conserve the resources of the Great World, thus making the Great World better!”

”Is it really like this!?” Su Yang was stunned, finally understanding why the Heavenly Warrior rose up against the Heavenly Dao.

Simply put, the Heavenly Dao protects the Great World, not life. The Heavenly Warriors are life, and they need to survive, naturally consuming the Great World’s resources. This antagonistic relationship is like that of humans and nature—who is right and who is wrong?

”The Earth Principle is the rule of Chaos; if the Great World is to get bigger and better, it needs to absorb Chaos, and the Earth Principle naturally wants to stop this. So, in fact, the Earth Principle seeks to cultivate people to destroy the Great World,” Emperor Slave said: ”From a certain perspective, the Heavenly Dao protects our living Great World, while the Earth Principle is destroying our living Great World. But the problem is, the Heavenly Dao’s protection method erases lives, so what should we choose?”

Su Yang pondered for a while: ”Is there any way to unify all life, merge together, and set rules so that everyone won’t destroy the Great World?”

”This is what the Human Emperor and others have been trying to do!” Emperor Slave said: ”But as you know, after the Ancient War, this became impossible.”

”Then why not negotiate with the Heavenly Dao...” Su Yang realized his mistake as soon as he spoke. The Heavenly Dao has no consciousness, so how can one negotiate?

”To negotiate, it can only be with the Guardian Gods!” Emperor Slave shook his head: ”There have been negotiations, but they ended unpleasantly.”

”Why?” Su Yang asked curiously.

Emperor Slave glanced at Su Yang and said softly: ”The Guardian Gods stand high above, blessed by the Heavenly Dao, so they consider themselves the representatives of the Heavenly Dao. They feel they already have the authority to control all life. In such circumstances, if someone approaches them to follow new rules, to treat others as equals, do you think they would agree?”

Su Yang immediately frowned and said in a deep voice: ”Ultimately, is the problem not with the Heavenly Dao and the Earth Principle, but with the Guardian Gods?”

”Exactly!” Emperor Slave nodded.

At this point, Su Yang finally understood what was really going on.

To put it plainly, it’s the Guardian Gods, these vested interests, unwilling to relinquish their gains, trying to subjugate all life, leading to this primordial Ancient war.

The root of the issue is not the Heavenly Dao Earth Principles but the Guardian Gods, and their ambition!

”Therefore, this battle is necessary!” Emperor Slave said softly: ”The Guardian Gods must be thoroughly defeated to reestablish the rules and set everything on the right track!”

Su Yang slowly nodded, understanding these matters, further firming his determination to defeat the Guardian Gods!

”Who exactly is this First God?” Su Yang asked.

”The first god to ally with the Heavenly Dao, or you could say, one of the first few born in the Great World.” Emperor Slave replied: ”He was the first to ally with the Heavenly Dao, the first to proclaim himself a god, thus called the First God!”

”A few of the earliest born?” Su Yang asked: ”How many were born initially?”

Emperor Slave shook his head: ”I truly don’t know, but the three leaders of the Ancient Human Clan, and the strongest among the Guardian Gods, are among those first-born individuals, including the Human Emperor!”

Su Yang suddenly realized the origins of these individuals, no wonder they possess such heaven-defying abilities!

After pondering awhile, Su Yang suddenly remembered something and said: ”By the way, you said the Heavenly Dao is just a rule, without consciousness. So, what’s the point of the Heaven Slayer severing the Heavenly Dao? What he severed was merely a symbolic stone tablet, with no impact on the Heavenly Dao!”

”No!” Emperor Slave shook his head: ”This involves the matter of that stone tablet. The stone tablet is condensed from the Heavenly Dao rules. In a way, it is the incarnation of the Heavenly Dao. Destroying the stone tablet means scattering the Heavenly Dao’s rules. Simply put, after the Heavenly Dao stone tablet is shattered, the Human Clan can also absorb Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy. If the Earth Principle is destroyed, then the Guardian Gods can also absorb Earth-level Spiritual Energy.”

Su Yang recalled those Earth-level Guardian Gods, realizing that they absorbed Earth-level Spiritual Energy, and this was why.

”But after the Heavenly Dao stone tablet was shattered, all the Heavenly Level and Earth-level Spiritual Energy disappeared.” Su Yang said: ”What’s that about?”

”The rules of the Heavenly Dao Earth Principles also lock the Heavenly Level and Earth-level Spiritual Energy. Just like a pond, where Spiritual Energy is like the water within. If the pond is broken, can the water remain?” Emperor Slave looked at Su Yang: ”Chaos will devour everything, especially Spiritual Energy. Without the barriers of the Heavenly Dao and the Earth Principle, the Spiritual Energy would be consumed by Chaos; this is unavoidable. The Heavenly Level and Earth-level Spiritual Energy dispersed in such circumstances!”

”I see!” Su Yang suddenly realized, finally understanding the situation.

”Then, if the Heavenly Dao and Earth Principle are restored, can this Spiritual Energy return from Chaos?” Su Yang asked.

”While Chaos devours Spiritual Energy, it also continually produces Spiritual Energy,” Emperor Slave said: ”Chaos only devours high-level Spiritual Energy, that is, Earth-level and Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy. What it generates is a simpler Spiritual Energy, the current basic Yellow Level Spiritual Energy. And these Yellow Level Spiritual Energies continually grow and evolve, step by step, to become Xuan-level Spiritual Energy, Earth-level Spiritual Energy, and Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy. The Xuan-level Spiritual Energy, when elevated to Earth and Heavenly Levels, would be consumed by Chaos without the protection of the Heavenly Dao and Earth Principle. So, by restoring the Heavenly Dao and Earth Principle, it can slowly condense this Spiritual Energy again.”

Su Yang gazed at the adjacent Chaos, admitting that this Chaos was indeed a very mysterious existence. It’s the birthplace of all things; even the most basic Spiritual Energy is born here. Everything originates from it, yet it is the endpoint of everything, which is hard to fathom.
