Supreme Warrior in the City

”Brother Su, with your return this time, I suspect these Heavenly Warriors might use your status for their own agendas!” Jiang Zi’er looked at Su Yang, whispering, ”So, it’s best to maintain a certain distance from all these Heavenly Warriors, and not get too close to any of them. Otherwise, they might leverage your name to seize power!”

”My name?” Su Yang smiled bitterly. ”These are all warriors from the Primordial Ancient times, god-like beings. What use is my name to them?”

”Though that’s true, the fact remains that you are now the leader of the Human Clan. The reconstruction of reincarnation is your work, and you led the alliance between the Human Clan and the Demon Beast Clan. Your prestige within the Human Clan is extremely high!” Jiang Zi’er said. ”These Heavenly Warriors cannot convince everyone, so they will certainly use your name to threaten others. Of course, it doesn’t mean they will respect you; it’s rather like the ancient tactic of controlling the vassals by holding the emperor hostage!”

”The ancient tactic of controlling the vassals by holding the emperor hostage!” Su Yang sighed lightly; am I going to become a tool for these Heavenly Warriors?

Thinking about the current situation, Su Yang felt utterly helpless.

Originally, I thought that by reconstructing reincarnation and bringing back the warriors from Primordial Ancient times, I could finally take a breath. Unexpectedly, after bringing these people back, the situation became even more complicated.

These powerful humans are about to start infighting among themselves. It seems that without leadership from the strongest, internal unity among the Human Clan is impossible.

But, how can I, alone, change the current situation? These are all Heavenly Warriors from the Primordial Ancient times, invincible in their era. Unless they encounter the strongest from the Ancient or Primordial times, who can make them willingly submit?

If the Three Great Ancient, or the Heaven Slayer, the Master of Yu Ling Palace, and the Master of the World Melting Furnace could return, the situation might be better. These strongest could stabilize the situation. But now, since they haven’t returned, the Human Clan is like scattered sand.

”Did your master ever mention when he could come out?” Su Yang asked softly. Among the strongest, only Jiang Zi’er’s master is truly contactable.

”My master won’t come out anytime soon; he has a more important task to complete, so he can’t come out for now.” Jiang Zi’er paused, saying, ”My master mentioned that this time, it seems you alone will have to solve this issue. Since the strongest of the Human Clan can return, certainly the strongest Guardian Gods can also return by other means. The situation outside isn’t as simple as we see it. So, despite the current situation in the Nine Realms, the strongest of the Human Clan can’t come to help; they’re keeping an eye on those strongest Guardian Gods!”

”I see!” Su Yang gradually nodded, his expression becoming more serious. If this has to be solved by him, how could he solve it?

”You just mentioned that these strong ones are divided into several groups. What are these groups?” Su Yang asked.

”Roughly divided into six groups; three from the Primordial Ancient, three from the Ancient.” Jiang Zi’er said, ”The three groups from the Primordial Ancient are led by the followers of the Three Great Ancient. The three groups from the Ancient are more complex; too many leaders emerged during the Ancient times, and no true leader able to control everything appeared. So, the division isn’t as simple as the Primordial times. These people are divided into three groups mainly because of differing philosophies.”

”The Ancient Sky Slayer, the Master of Yu Ling Palace, and your master, they’re so powerful. Didn’t they become leaders of the Heavenly Warriors?” Su Yang asked curiously.

”The Heaven Slayer is always elusive, rarely cares about external matters, though the strongest, besides Little Huang, he has no other companions. The Master of Yu Ling Palace governs all flying life forms, including those of the Demon Beast Clan, but she doesn’t care much about those without wings.” Jiang Zi’er paused. ”As for my master, he’s been busy with matters of his Great World all his life, and has no time to care about the affairs of the Heavenly Warriors!”

Su Yang felt helpless; these three strongest beings were supposed to be the best leaders. Yet, none of these three chose to take on the task, which led to chaos during the Ancient times.

”Then who are the leaders of these three groups from the Ancient times?” Su Yang asked.

”One group is led by the Immortal Venerable, another is led by the Nine-headed Demon Yuan. The third group leader...” Jiang Zi’er glanced at Su Yang, ”is the Eternal Divine Emperor!”

”Eternal Divine Emperor?” Su Yang paused, the name sounded familiar.

”He’s the one the Female Sword Saint saved back then!” Jiang Zi’er replied.

Su Yang finally remembered, the shadow seated on the emperor’s throne. When the Heaven-Slaying Blade was first drawn, many illusions appeared, showcasing the most powerful figures from the Ancient times. Among them, deep in the universe, there was a solitary, blood-stained throne, that was the Eternal Divine Emperor.

Later, Ye Wantong received the Female Sword Saint’s legacy, and Su Yang saw the Ancient battle for the first time.

At the time, the Eternal Divine Emperor was pursuing the Boundless Blood Sea, and the Female Sword Saint aided him, but was tricked by the Heavenly Sect, leading to the end of her life. Afterwards, her pet passed on her legacy to Ye Wantong, marking the end of the Female Sword Saint’s life and legacy.

Unexpectedly, the Eternal Divine Emperor possesses such strength, becoming the leader of a group of Heavenly Warriors!

”What conflicts exist among them?” Su Yang asked curiously.

”Ah, it’s complicated.” Jiang Zi’er said. ”First, let’s talk about the cultivators from the Primordial and Ancient times; those from the Primordial times respect the Three Great Ancient, and want those from the Ancient times to also respect the Three Great Ancient, and to choose sides among the Three Great Ancient. How could those from the Ancient times agree to such a thing, hence conflicts arose between the strong from the Primordial and Ancient times.”

”Among those strong from Primordial times, things are a little easier because the Three Great Ancient once fought alongside each other, and their relationships are good. But among those from Ancient times, there are many internal conflicts, causing chaos within these three groups, adding to the complexity.”

Jiang Zi’er looked at Su Yang, speaking softly, ”Brother Su, with your relationship with the Master of Yu Ling Palace, if you took action, the followers of the Ancient Human Emperor would certainly heed your commands. As for the others, it’s hard to say. However, you could use this as an opportunity to draw some people to your side first, which might help in resolving the issues with others!”
