Supreme Warrior in the City

”If the Heavenly Dao demands that you extinguish the entire Human Clan, would you obey?” Su Yang countered.

”The Heavenly Dao doesn’t make mistakes. What it dictates is correct!” The First God replied, ”If that’s truly necessary, I would do it. After all, even if the existing Human Clan perishes completely, new life will still arise.”

”What if the Heavenly Dao commands you to kill these people beside you? Would you obey then?” Su Yang asked again.

The First God laughed, looking at Su Yang, and said softly, ”Perhaps, that question would be more appropriate for you to ask them!”

”What, you don’t dare answer?” Su Yang sneered, ”Are you afraid of chilling their hearts?”

”It’s not that I would chill their hearts; they already know the answer in their hearts!” The First God looked at those around him and said softly, ”If the Heavenly Dao asks any of us to die, we would do so without hesitation, not needing others to kill us!”

The Guardian Gods nodded, indicating that such a decision had long been made in their hearts.

Su Yang fell silent. He originally intended to sow discord between the First God and the Guardian Gods around him. Unexpectedly, these Guardian Gods’ faith in the Heavenly Dao was so unwavering, surprising him greatly.

”By acting this way, you’re no different from slaves to the Heavenly Dao!” Su Yang said sternly, ”No, you are even less than slaves. Slaves know to struggle for life, yet you do not even cherish your own lives. How is it any different from being like walking corpses?”

”Everything we do is to protect the Great World, to follow the path of the heavens!” The First God said softly, ”You’ll never understand; we are the ones who have sacrificed the most for the Great World. You so-called Heavenly Warriors claim to fight for the Human Clan. Hah, in reality, the number of Human Clans slain by us is fewer than those killed in successive wars. Those who claim to protect the Human Clan are actually the ones plunging the Human Clan into the abyss. Is this your so-called Heavenly Warriors?”

Su Yang’s brow furrowed, ”First God, don’t twist the truth in front of me. You kill for the Heavenly Dao, treat the entire Human Clan as ants, and oppress innocent humans in the name of the Heavenly Dao. You can’t deny that, right? Heavenly Warriors are fighting to overturn such injustice, to overthrow your rule, allowing the Human Clan to be the masters of their destiny. They are the true pioneers.”

”Intelligent beings should have the power to control their own fate, not be dominated by so-called Heavenly Dao. If the Human Clan wants to control their destiny, there must be sacrifices, for freedom always comes at a cost. I don’t find that the Heavenly Warriors are doing anything wrong. But you are using the name of the Heavenly Dao for personal gain, equating yourselves with the Heavenly Dao, taking advantage of everything; is this your so-called sacrifice for the Human Clan? You’re merely elevating your own status, stepping on others; this is what you call selfishness!”

The First God’s face turned slightly cold, speaking with a chilling voice: ”That’s just your own perspective. We know in our hearts what we’ve done for the Great World. Since you’re so stubborn in your ignorance, we share no common path. Don’t think that bringing remnants of Buddha Venerable and Heaven Slayer’s Spiritual Sense here lets you be arrogant. Even if the Ancient trio appeared together, I, the First God, wouldn’t fear you. Let alone when it’s only you; you won’t leave the Immortal Palace!”

”Oh, planning to use numbers against me, huh?” Su Yang sneered, ”I dared to come here without fearing your numbers. Why not all of you come at once?”

The First God’s face turned even colder; this was too demeaning.

”We don’t need so many people to deal with you!” A man beside the First God shouted, flying forward first: ”I alone am enough!”

”Who are you?” Su Yang glanced at him, ”Even the First God wouldn’t utter such arrogant words; what makes you speak so boldly in front of the First God?”

”Silence!” The man shouted angrily, ”I am the Ancient War God; my strength indeed isn’t comparable to the First God. But don’t forget, I’ve at least obtained the protection of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet, recovering substantial strength. You’re just an illusion of Buddha Venerable and Heaven Slayer. Against you, I alone am more than enough; no need for the First God to intervene!”

”Ancient War God, quite an intimidating name. But I wonder about your strength!” Su Yang slowly assessed the man, ”Are you sure you want to fight on behalf of the First God?”

”You don’t have the qualification to fight the First God, so it’s not about replacing anyone!” The Ancient War God yelled.

”You’re rather arrogant!” Su Yang said, ”Regardless of whether it’s Buddha Venerable or Heaven Slayer, both are entities equal to the First God. Now, with their fusion, the Buddha and Demon Dual Body reassembled, the power surpasses even the First God. Yet you claim I don’t qualify to fight the First God? Do you think you’re ranked higher than the First God?”

”Drop the nonsense trying to sow discord; are you going to fight or not?” The Ancient War God yelled angrily.

”Of course, there’s going to be a fight, but I need to figure out the situation first...” Su Yang said slowly, actually stalling as he didn’t want to waste too much effort fighting here. After all, he needs to find a way to instant teleport soon.

The three Crystal Skulls have already infiltrated the First Divine Palace, but there’s no signal yet, unsure when they’ll obtain the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet.

”What situation do you need to figure out?” The Ancient War God accused angrily, ”How can there be so much nonsense in a duel? Are you afraid to fight me?”

”Afraid?” Su Yang laughed out loud, ”Are you overestimating yourself? What do I have to fear fighting you? I dare challenge the First God, but I’m afraid to fight you? According to you, are you really greater than the First God?”

The Ancient War God was infuriated, ”Consider this your last warning; don’t try to sow discord here. Lord First God is one of the strongest among us Guardian Gods. Maybe you once had the ability to fight the First God, but now, you absolutely lack the strength or eligibility!”

”Is that so?” Su Yang looked at the First God, smiling faintly, ”First God, do you believe I have the qualification?”

Just as the First God was about to speak, Su Yang suddenly received a signal from the Great City Lord.

With a stirring in his heart, without waiting for the First God to respond and while the Ancient War God was momentarily distracted, Su Yang rushed toward the Ancient War God at full speed, shouting, ”Today, I’ll show you if I have this qualification!”
