Supreme Warrior in the City

As everyone dispersed, Ye Wantong’s emergence from seclusion finally settled down.

Su Yang finally had time to sit down and chat intimately with Ye Wantong.

Jiang Zi’er and the others also quietly retreated, as this was a rare moment for the couple to be alone, who would be so inconsiderate as to be a third wheel now?

Ye Wantong’s period of seclusion was lengthy, but the gains were significant.

Ye Wantong not only advanced to the Earth-level Realm but also reached the peak of the Earth Level, comparable to those of the Ancient Heaven Warriors.

No wonder those Heavenly Warriors thought the Female Sword Saint had returned, because now Ye Wantong possessed the strength to contend with them.

Seeing Ye Wantong’s strength, Su Yang was genuinely delighted in his heart.

The situation now is quite complicated. Although the Primordial and Ancient Heaven Warriors have returned, they refuse to acknowledge one another, with numerous conflicts. Moreover, the most critical issue is that they look down on the present era’s Human Clan, which is the biggest problem.

The root cause is that this era’s Human Clan truly lacks formidable figures.

The Ancient Heaven Warriors were once peak figures, reaching the Heavenly Realm, existing like myths against heaven.

In Su Yang’s era, those who could reach the Earth-level Realm were handful and even if they did, they only reached the Beginner Earth Level; breaking through to the Intermediate Earth-level was a herculean task.

In such circumstances, Ye Wantong attaining the strength of the Heavenly Warriors is a great morale booster for the modern Human Clan, even if it’s just one person.

Next, Ye Wantong told Su Yang something that aroused his vigilance.

During Ye Wantong’s seclusion at the Heavenly Sect, she discovered that many Divine Artifacts there showed signs of revival. This indicates that the Heavenly Sect itself likely has not perished in battle and is returning.

Su Yang had previously heard from Jiang Zi’er about who the Heavenly Sect is.

This person is said to be one of the leaders of the Ancient Guardian Gods, one of the strongest amongst them. Cunning as he is, he can be considered a formidable enemy of the Heavenly Warriors.

It was this person who set traps in the past, leading to the demise of many Ancient Heaven Warriors. The Eternal Divine Emperor fell for his scheme, suffering heavy losses, and the Female Sword Saint also perished in that battle.

If the Heavenly Sect returns, it wouldn’t be good news for the Human Clan. After all, this person’s strength is not much different from the likes of the First God, and he is extremely cunning. If he unites with the Primordial Guardian Gods, their power will only grow, which would be troublesome.

”In our current situation, we can’t prevent this Heavenly Sect from reviving!” Su Yang said solemnly, ”It seems we must be wary of this person!”

Ye Wantong nodded. Although she isn’t the Female Sword Saint, she has inherited the Female Sword Saint’s lineage and some of her memories. Especially concerning the Heavenly Sect, the Female Sword Saint remembers clearly, as she was once slain by him.

”However, the most critical issue now is to unite the Primordial and Ancient Heaven Warriors!” Su Yang sighed, ”On the Guardian God’s side, several key members have revived, and they can control the situation. But on our side, we are like a scattered sandpile, even internally thinking about infighting, how can we resist the Guardian Gods?”

”Do you have any way to unite them?” Ye Wantong asked.

Su Yang shook his head. Although the Human Emperor told him to act freely, looking at today’s situation, he really worries about what would happen if he did.

Today, it was just that one man who acted, and the situation already escalated. If others got provoked too, Su Yang could hardly control the situation.

”You don’t need to worry about the Eternal Divine Emperor’s side!” Ye Wantong suddenly said, ”He will help us!”

”This...” Su Yang questioned, ”Is it really feasible? The Eternal Divine Emperor merely received a favor from the Female Sword Saint, but after all, you’re not the Female Sword Saint!”

”No problem!” Ye Wantong replied, ”The Female Sword Saint is the reincarnated daughter of the Eternal Divine Emperor, his only blood relative. He will surely help us!”

”That’s good!” Su Yang breathed a sigh of relief. With this bond between the Female Sword Saint and the Eternal Divine Emperor, the situation seems manageable.

But this only concerns the Eternal Divine Emperor’s faction. There are still five other factions, how could they be made to submit?

Su Yang thought about using the Human Emperor’s name to manage the Primordial Human Emperor’s faction. But after much consideration, Su Yang remained hesitant.

The Human Emperor seemed to want him as a son-in-law. Once he indeed utilized the Human Emperor’s name, what identity should he use to stand out as? Just thinking about it made his head spin!

Three days passed swiftly.

According to the arrangement, three days later, Su Yang held a banquet, inviting members from six factions.

On this day, Su Yang prepared everything early and personally greeted the attendees.

The first to arrive was the Eternal Divine Emperor. Sitting on a desolate throne was an illusion that descended from the sky, followed by hundreds more – all Ancient Heaven Warriors from the ancient era.

”Greetings, Lord Divine Emperor!” Su Yang bowed respectfully.

The illusion on the throne nodded slightly, his gaze more focused on Ye Wantong, filled with affection. As for looking at Su Yang, it was akin to how a father-in-law looks at his son-in-law.

Su Yang understood that the Eternal Divine Emperor viewed Ye Wantong as his daughter, hence his manner.

Ye Wantong obediently went over to greet the Eternal Divine Emperor, staying by his side. Having inherited the Female Sword Saint’s teachings and some of her memories, in her heart, she indeed considered the Eternal Divine Emperor as a half-father figure.

After settling the Eternal Divine Emperor and his group, more people arrived outside, led by the Nine-headed Demon Yuan.

Soon after, the three Primordial factions and the Immortal Venerable also showed up.

All six factions were now assembled.

However, it was apparent that each had different attitudes.

The Eternal Divine Emperor openly supported Su Yang, sitting closest to him while mainly focusing on observing the Immortal Venerable.

The Immortal Venerable had deep grudges with the Female Sword Saint, and the Eternal Divine Emperor was mainly responsible for keeping an eye on him.

The Nine-headed Demon Yuan sat in the central zone, smiling faintly, revealing nothing definite about his mind. Clearly, his intention was to watch and see exactly how Su Yang would handle the situation.

As for the three Primordial factions, after sitting down, they said little, continuously observing the situation at hand.
