Supreme Warrior in the City

Before heading to the Bei Yuan Dynasty, Su Yang first returned to the Nine Realms.

This time, after being away for so long, Su Yang originally intended to seek opportunities to advance to the Saint Emperor Realm.

However, even though he absorbed a considerable amount of spiritual energy during this time, he still had no idea how far he was from reaching the Saint Emperor Realm.

Now, as he plans to head to the Bei Yuan Dynasty in search of his mother, Su Yang remains unsure of what lies ahead. The danger is undoubtedly significant; it might indeed be a perilous journey with no hope of return.

Therefore, before departing, Su Yang felt he must go back to the Nine Realms, at least to see his family and friends one last time.

Over such a long period, there had been no changes in the Nine Realms.

Due to the mighty war between the three factions, the Nine Realms had not faced any attacks from fierce beasts, thus enjoying a long period of peace.

This situation was something Su Yang understood. The Guardian God was busy battling the Demon Beast Clan and searching for the Red Leaf God. There was simply no time to farm the Nine Realms. In the Guardian God’s eyes, the Nine Realms was at most an insignificant small world, unworthy of attention.

Otherwise, the Guardian God wouldn’t have sent only one commander to oversee matters in the Nine Realms. In fact, for a truly small world, not even a Saint Venerable level expert was necessary; just a few low-level Beast Tamers would suffice.

That the Nine Realms could have a commander at the Saint Venerable Realm in charge was an exceptional circumstance. As for the Guardian God, there was no way the deity would take notice of the Nine Realms. This lack of attention was precisely the Nine Realms’ advantage—at least it wouldn’t attract overly powerful masters!

Upon returning to the Nine Realms, the first piece of news Su Yang received was that Ye Wantong had advanced to the Saint Emperor Realm.

Ye Wantong, having inherited the legacy of the Female Sword Saint, was exceptionally quick at advancing levels. Su Yang had left plenty of spiritual sources in the Nine Realms, providing Ye Wantong with ample resources for cultivation. Unperturbed by distractions over the years, she focused intently on her training, finally advancing to the Saint Emperor Realm a century ago.

Simultaneously, many experts in the Nine Realms had also reached the peak of the Saint King Realm, just a step away from the Saint Emperor Realm.

Learning about the cultivation status in the Nine Realms eased Su Yang’s mind considerably. With a Saint Emperor and numerous Saint Kings in the Nine Realms, it was expected that more Saint Emperors would soon emerge.

And as the Nine Realms was merely a small world, should many Saint Emperors emerge, the Guardian God would face a significant cost to destroy the Nine Realms. At that time, the Guardian God would likely have to weigh whether the cost was worth it for such a small world.

Moreover, once one advances to the Saint Emperor Realm, they gain the ability to protect themselves in the Endless Starry Sky. This means if the Nine Realms truly becomes indefensible, all its inhabitants could be sent into the World Melting Furnace. Ye Wantong could then take the furnace into the depths of the Endless Starry Sky to seek refuge, which serves as the Nine Realms’ last resort.

With this contingency in place, the Nine Realms would be free of worries. Thus, Su Yang could confidently focus on his own endeavors!

Su Yang did not inform anyone of his journey to the Bei Yuan Dynasty. He didn’t want the people of the Nine Realms to worry about him, nor did he want anyone else accompanying him. He knew if he shared this with Ye Wantong, Su Zhan, and the Black Widow, they would insist on following him, which was exactly what he wished to avoid.

This trip to the Bei Yuan Dynasty was indeed perilous, and Su Yang did not want anyone taking such risks alongside him.

The main reason for bringing the three Crystal Skulls was that these three individuals were ancient thieves with extraordinary backgrounds. Since they survived ancient battles, they certainly wouldn’t die easily. Thus, having them along provided a measure of safety.

The journey from the Nine Realms to the Bei Yuan Dynasty was not short. Su Yang transformed into the guise of a Demon Beast Saint King and used the teleportation gate to head toward the Bei Yuan Dynasty.

After the war between the three factions, the Demon Beast Clan suffered a massive defeat, with many Saint Emperors perishing. Currently, the Demon Beast Clan was far less dominant than before, behaving more moderately and no longer managing affairs near the teleportation gate. Consequently, Su Yang’s journey to the Bei Yuan Dynasty was smooth, without any obstruction.

Even so, it took Su Yang over two years to arrive near the Bei Yuan Dynasty.

Being the dynasty closest to the north within the Demon Beast Clan, the Bei Yuan Dynasty was considered a marginal territory. This area, known as a desolate and treacherous land, was extremely inhospitable.

Due to its proximity to the Land of Chaos, the space near the Bei Yuan Dynasty was unstable, frequently giving rise to spatial rifts. These rifts could either slaughter some demon beasts or transport others to unknown places.

As a result, the demon beasts thriving here had developed formidable strength and a resilient mindset.

The demon beast population in the Bei Yuan Dynasty was not large, less than one percent compared to the Luan Yu Dynasty where Su Yang had previously stayed. However, the battle prowess of the Bei Yuan Dynasty’s demon beasts was astonishingly strong, far surpassing that of the Luan Yu Dynasty.

Having grown up in such a harsh environment, the demon beasts faced the threat of death daily, naturally fostering exceptional combat abilities.

Additionally, due to its location on the periphery, the demon beasts in the Bei Yuan Dynasty were relatively isolated, having little contact with the Demon Beast Clan. Although members of the clan, the great Saint Emperor of the Demon Beast Clan could hardly command the Bei Yuan Dynasty. For instance, during the recent war among the three factions, the Bei Yuan Dynasty refrained from involvement and remained unaffected by the conflict.

Su Yang, disguised as a demon beast, infiltrated the imperial city of the Bei Yuan Dynasty. It took him half a month to gather clues about the Guardian Gods.

Indeed, the Guardian Gods had arrived at the Bei Yuan Dynasty. They had even visited the imperial city and held a secret discussion with the Bei Yuan Saint Emperor. As for the content of their conversations, only the Bei Yuan Saint Emperor and the Guardian Gods knew.

After this secret discussion, the Guardian Gods left the Bei Yuan Dynasty, heading toward the Land of Chaos.

Su Yang was uncertain about the exact destination of these individuals, as the Bei Yuan Dynasty encompassed a vast area, with regions near the Land of Chaos being perilously dangerous. He was unable to ascertain the exact location the Guardian Gods had gone, making it impossible to pursue them.

It appeared that the Bei Yuan Saint Emperor might know where these Guardian Gods were heading. In other words, finding these Guardian Gods required targeting the Bei Yuan Saint Emperor.
