Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 350: Chapter 164: The fans are exploding, what is Zhang Beixing doing?

He walked out of the train station and, at the baggage claim, slung the disassembled long spear that had traveled with the high-speed train over his back.

Zhang Beixing was just about to start showing off when Liu Yi’s words, ”The police are here!” immediately shut him down.

Zhang Beixing was utterly bewildered.

What the heck? The police are here?

He looked up and, sure enough, a police officer was heading straight toward him.

Wait, what are the police doing here?

I, Zhang, am a law-abiding good citizen; it shouldn’t have anything to do with me. He’s probably here to find someone else; I just happened to be standing in the way.

Zhang Beixing muttered, not believing the officer was there for him, so he sidestepped.

However, the moment he moved, the police officer shifted direction as well, his objective incredibly clear!

Seeing this, Zhang Beixing’s heart immediately skipped a beat.

Seriously, what the hell is going on?

Why on earth is this police officer tailing me so relentlessly for no reason?

I’ve only just arrived!

I haven’t even had a chance to roam the world with my sword yet!

They can’t be planning to take me in for ’tea’ already, can they?!

Zhang Beixing’s mouth twitched; this felt incredibly messed up.

Realizing he couldn’t dodge this encounter, he simply stood his ground, watching the approaching police officer, curious about what he wanted this time.

Under Zhang Beixing’s watchful eye, the police officer came up to him.

He raised his hand in salute to Zhang Beixing.

The officer got straight to the point, ”Hello, I’m a police officer from the Chang’an Police Department, badge number 1433223. We were just notified that a registered individual has arrived in Chang’an. Are you Mr. Zhang Beixing?”

”What do you think?”

Hearing the officer’s words, Zhang Beixing’s mouth twitched again. Your intention is so obvious, he thought. Don’t you already know perfectly well if I’m Zhang Beixing?

But, of course, that wasn’t something he could say aloud, since the officer was just following protocol. Zhang Beixing nodded. ”Yes, it’s me.”

”Alright, Mr. Zhang, due to your particular identity, we need to ask you a few questions. What is the purpose of your visit to Chang’an?” the officer asked, pulling out a notebook to take notes.

Zhang Beixing thought there was no point in hiding his intentions and spontaneously responded, ”I’m here to chall—oops, sorry, I misspoke. I’m here to spar with the Martial Arts Grandmasters of Chang’an and exchange martial arts experience!”

Almost let my true thoughts slip.

”I see!”

The police officer understood. Then, in the ’purpose’ section of his notebook, he wrote down the two words: ’challenge dojos’.

Then his gaze fell on the long spear strapped to Zhang Beixing’s back.

The officer frowned. ”Mr. Zhang, if you are here for an exchange, why are you carrying a weapon? Are you planning to use weapons during your exchange?”

If weapons were involved, it would no longer be a simple exchange but an armed brawl.

This was a serious issue that would need to be reported to his superiors.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Beixing shook his head very straightforwardly. ”No, it’s mainly because carrying this thing looks cool!”

The officer’s mouth twitched. Seriously? he thought, rendered speechless.

Carrying a disassembled long spear around just to look cool was indeed something Zhang Beixing would do.

But considering that the man’s long spear hadn’t been sharpened, the spearhead was very blunt.

The officer didn’t confiscate it or take any other action.

He simply reminded Zhang Beixing to keep his weapon secured and not to wave it around to avoid injuring others.

He then proceeded with other questions.

Zhang Beixing answered each one.

After covering almost everything necessary, the police officer put down his pen. ”Thank you, Comrade Zhang, for your understanding and cooperation. I will return shortly and report this matter to my superiors. Afterwards, due to your identity, our people will also keep you under continuous observation. We hope for your understanding.”

”Finally, on behalf of our Chang’an Police Department, welcome to Chang’an. I hope you enjoy your time here!”

With that, the police officer put away his notebook, saluted Zhang Beixing again, and left.

Although Zhang Beixing had anticipated such a scenario when he registered at the Shishi police station, when it actually happened, he couldn’t help but remark, The laws of our country are indeed strict!

But he didn’t dwell on it too much.

After all, he was a specially registered individual who had followed all procedures correctly, not some heinous criminal.

Besides, criminals couldn’t take the high-speed train; unlike him, who could travel however he pleased.

This was the biggest difference between his registration and that of actual criminals.

As for the interrogations and subsequent police attention he’d face after arriving, if they wanted to ask, let them ask; if they wanted to pay attention, let them.

He, Zhang Beixing, was all about being upright and honest. If you do no wrong, you fear no ghosts knocking at your door!

What’s there to be afraid of?

Zhang Beixing felt quite at ease.

He even had the leisure to ask Liu Yi to take him to a good Pao Mo restaurant, where he planned to heartily devour five large bowls of Mutton Paomo before going to cause trouble for the Primordial School.

「At two in the afternoon.」

After a satisfying meal and a two-hour journey, Zhang Beixing finally arrived before the martial arts hall of the Primordial School.

It had to be said, a martial arts hall presided over by a Grandmaster was truly extraordinary.

First off, its size was enormous, almost like a sports stadium.

The decor was also exceptionally grand, antique and elegant. It exuded a heavy sense of dignity. From the very first glance, one would instinctively feel that this martial arts hall was something special.
