Chapter 348: Chapter 163: Ranking of Great Xia Grandmasters, Single-handedly Dominating the Nation!_5

The list contained only ten names.

First: Daoist Qingwei of Wudang Mountain, 63 years old.

Second: Daoist Dingshen of Dragon Tiger Mountain, 83 years old.

Third: Wan Mingde of Primordial Tai Chi, 67 years old.

...

Seventh: Ma Shikai of the Primordial Form Intent school, 66 years old.

Eighth: Wu Yougui of Black Dragon’s Eighteen Hands, 58 years old.

Ninth: Liu Yi of Yue Family Continuous Fist, 50 years old.

Tenth: Zhang Beixing of Yue Family Continuous Fist, 21 years old!

”!!!”

The list caused an uproar in the comments section, and its popularity instantly spiked.

”What the heck? How did something so out of place sneak into this Grandmaster ranking list?”

”Good grief! In a group with an average age of around sixty, how did a 21-year-old kid get mixed in? Is this the power of Shishi’s Brother Dan, the one with the 19/0/1 KDA?”

”Seriously? So it’s just a bunch of old geezers? What’s the point of ranking old folks then?”

”That’s easy for you to say, but these are Grandmasters, understand? Don’t think they’re just old. Any one of them could beat the crap out of you!”

”And what if they can’t?”

”Then you must have wiped clean. Give me your room number; I’ll come sodomize you tonight!”

”Damn, me too!”

”666. But speaking of which, how did Brother Dan manage to rank himself last? Considering his usual show-offy attitude, if he didn’t rank himself first, he’d at least be in the top three, right? When did this kid become so modest?”

”Damn right! That modesty is highly suspicious. It’s just plain weird. Brother Dan, if you’re being threatened, blink twice!”

”...”

Netizens were buzzing with discussion. Some who were familiar with Zhang Beixing had already sensed that something was amiss.

Seeing their comments, Zhang Beixing smiled slightly.

Curious, are you? That’s right! If you weren’t curious, how could I generate buzz for this? Zhang Beixing thought, leisurely browsing the comments.

Originally, he just wanted to see the netizens’ reactions. Unexpectedly, as he read on, he stumbled upon several unusual comments in the comment section. They were from the very Grandmasters he had listed!

Wan Mingde of Primordial Tai Chi commented, ”I heard from the younger generation that Grandmaster Zhang put together a Grandmaster ranking. I came to take a look and didn’t expect to rank third among these Grandmasters, just below Daoist Qingwei and Daoist Dingshen. I’m quite ashamed!”

Wu Yougui of Black Dragon’s Eighteen Hands posted, ”I’m only eighth? A bit unexpected...”

Ma Shikai of the Primordial Form Intent school wrote, ”Seventh place. I suppose Grandmaster Zhang must have listened to certain slanderous remarks when compiling this list. But never mind, this ranking is acceptable. Thank you for the high regard.”

”...”

Watching these people appear in his comments, Zhang Beixing wore a strange expression.

No, if I remember correctly, a few days ago when I sought help across Douyin, you martial artists were like mutes. Except for Chen Hegao and Wu Yougui, not a single one of you made a peep! At that time, I even wondered if you didn’t use Douyin. And now? I posted a video ranking Grandmasters, and how long has it been? Half an hour? You bastards smelled the traffic and came running to freeload, didn’t you?

Zhang Beixing frowned, then his expression relaxed.

Good, you came! If you hadn’t, I might have actually thought I’d misjudged you! But now that you’re here, I, Zhang Beixing, have absolutely no psychological burden! Zhang Beixing thought, growing more determined to challenge dojos and defeat martial artists across the country.

Zhang Beixing then pinned his own comment: ”Thanks for all the comments! This video is the start of a new series. The rankings will be continuously updated. With each update, I’ll also provide commentary and introductions for the respective Grandmasters. Be sure to follow for more!”

He would even introduce and comment on each Grandmaster!

Instantly, the popularity of this series surged even higher. Moreover, this popularity was unique to Zhang Beixing. The content was too specialized for others to simply copy or ride on his coattails.

Not bad, not bad. This should do the trick. Zhang Beixing thought with great satisfaction, feeling utterly savage as he prepared to close Douyin and start working on his plan.

However, what happened next developed in a way that far exceeded Zhang Beixing’s expectations.

Shortly after Zhang Beixing released the video, the Northern River Province’s Martial Arts Association also saw the content he had posted. Apparently finding Zhang Beixing’s Grandmaster ranking quite accurate, they simply copied it and published it on their official account. They intended to ride the wave of popularity, updating right alongside Zhang Beixing!

If it had just been that, it wouldn’t have been a big deal. It would have been quite good for everyone to promote the Grandmaster rankings together. The problem was that after the Northern River Martial Arts Association set this precedent, Martial Arts Associations from other provinces also started posting the same kind of update.

Everyone wanted to cash in on the popularity!

Zhang Beixing: ”?”

He was utterly dumbfounded by this.

Are you serious? I just casually put this ranking together, and you guys just copied it and posted it on your official accounts? Do you even know what my purpose was for releasing this ranking? And you’re just going to follow suit?

Zhang Beixing’s expression was incredibly strange.
