Beastmaster of the Ages

The Upper Star Ruin and Sea of Aeternity turned out to be a part of the universal body after all. The dream that Tianming had became clearer and clearer in his mind.

The moment Li Muyang and Wei Jing vanished, Tianming’s surroundings were vast and empty again. All traces of the sticky, green liquid were gone following the death of Dao San. The only things that were left behind were three green flower runes, which, like the five silver sword runes and eight crimson tombstone runes, embedded themselves onto the Grand-Orient Sword. All of them gave off a rather eerie aura.

Tianming took a deep breath and focused on what his parents said. The information he had just received put him in deep thought, the implications of which reminded him of something just as terrifying.

Ying Huo, Meow Meow and the rest left the lifebound space. The three Sixths were acting all eager, while Xian Xian and Ji Ji were incredibly anxious after hearing Li Muyang bring up Feiling.

”How large is the Realm of Worldgazing?” Ying Huo wondered, but nobody could answer the question properly.

Bai Feng, Sixth’s vita, began to ponder. ”So far, we know that the Realms of Order and Chaos, Ancestral World, Xenoworld, and everything else form the divine body of the Primordial God Emperor. The world outside this body is the Realm of Worldgazing, the true grand universe! The bloodline of Primordial Chaos Beasts like us probably exist in the universe outside! Maybe it’s only sealed while we’re inside the Primordial God-Emperor’s body.”

Tianming didn’t deny any of its guesses. Instead, something else occurred to him. ”So, inheriting the legacy of the Primordial God-Emperor means that I’ve obtained the strongest thing within this divine body. At the same time, there must be other Primogenitors outside like the Primordial Demonlord whose legacy Feng inherited. Are they as powerful as the Primordial God-Emperor?”

This was yet another question none of them had an answer to.

Yin Chen did make an attempt at a guess. ”What if... Primordial Demonlord... has also... fallen just... like the... Primordial God-Emperor... and his... divine body... is another... isolated universe?”

Meow Meow scratched its head in puzzlement. ”If that’s the case, why would the Primordial Demonlord’s legacy be found inside the Primordial God-Emperor’s body?”

Tianming said after some thought, ”Try to think about it. Where were their legacies first encountered? I think the legacies are connected to the same mysterious being...”

Ji Ji smiled and said, ”Perpetia City...”

Xian Xian clapped its hands and said, ”That’s right! That’s the strongest one of all of them!”

All roads led back to Perpetia City, to Feiling! Tianming was shaken by this. He had thought that he would grasp the deepest secrets of the universe by reaching the Upper Star Ruin and encountering the Eightpart Pantheons. He had thought that he would reach the peak.

Yet, he had always wondered why the history of the Eightpart Pantheons and even the flameyellow divinities didn’t record anything about the Primogenitors, Primordial Chaos Beasts and Perpetia. There were occasional references to the sky plunderers, but everything else was shrouded in mystery. It appeared that the universe they were in wasn’t even the true universe at all, but the remains of the Primordial God-Emperor.

”The Primordial God-Emperor and Primordial Demonlord are ultimate beings from the Realm of Worldgazing! Their bodies alone were whole universes! What kind of majestic divinity did they represent?” Bai Feng said, still pondering. ”And what do we Primordial Chaos Beasts have to do with these Primogenitors?”

Xian Xian pouted and said, ”I want to know what my half-mother has to do with the Primogenitors. Why does the Tomb of the Ancients or ’Demon City’ or whatever they called it exist within Perpetia?”

The Primordial Chaos Beasts had lost all memory of their past lives. They were just as clueless about those questions as Tianming.

Tianming shook his head and said, ”There’s no point in asking unanswerable questions. All we can do is wait for Ling’er to come back or to recover those lost memories. Or, we can just deal with the projections of the Aeternal Beings and go to the Minor Chaos Dock.”

Alas, the only Aeternal Being that Tianming had dealt with himself was Shen Wu, and that was with Moran’s help. He had no idea how much trouble the rest would be. He didn’t want to overthink it either while they were still basking in the magnificence of the Realm of Worldgazing.

Ying Huo seemed rather excited about it. ”That’s right! Didn’t we just hear that once Little Bro Ninth hatches, it can tell us everything? Maybe it still has its memories!”

”Hey, how do you know Ninth is a little brother and not a little sister?” Xian Xian was rather displeased.

”Call that instinct!” Ying Huo said, flapping its wings.

Tianming tried to feel his black-gold eyes. So far, they didn’t seem to react much to everything. The eggs within them didn’t show signs of hatching. Yet, Tianming could feel the existence of those two lifeforms that had experienced every recent event along with Tianming before they even hatched. They were his eyes, after all!

Looks like they’ll only show signs of incubating once I reach the Minor Chaos Dock. He recalled how they seemed to mention something about the Realm of Worldgazing when those two beast eggs first entered his eyes. It seemed to suggest that they needed to go there to be able to hatch. Did that mean that the Minor Chaos Dock was a window to the Realm of Worldgazing? Was the gate of blood lightning in the Fiend Ruins also one such window?

Tianming couldn’t help say, ”I’m still far too insignificant compared to all that.”

The universal body, Primogenitors and Primordial Chaos Beasts were beings that far exceeded his current imagination.

”This universal body is 9.9 billion lightyears in length, and I’m only seventy thousand meters tall. How far am I from reaching the Primordial God-Emperor’s level?” Tianming felt like he couldn’t see the end of it.
