Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 3444 - I’ll Go With You

Seeing Eminent Jiguang remain silent the whole time, Tianming felt a little awkward. He gave it some thought and couldn’t help but warn her, ”As far as I know, the one that wished you harm should be waiting for you at the entrance of the Outer Yin. If you have nobody here with you, you should refrain from going back first.”

Eminent Jiguang lightly nodded.

”If that’s all, I’ll take my leave.” Tianming saluted her and turned around, but she called out to him before he went far.

She bit her lip and looked at Tianming from behind. ”Can... can you help me with one last thing?”

Tianming turned back and approached her.

Eminent Jiguang’s beautiful eyes fluttered. ” You already saved me, so I’m really sorry to have to ask another favor of you, but—”

”Speak,” Tianming said. How could he refuse a chance to repay her for what she had done for him?

Now that she was out of danger and seeing her savior so willing to help, Suishen Jiguang felt good enough to muster her courage. ”There’s a family member of mine that’s been trapped here for hundreds of years. Only half of her subsoul shattered, so I don’t know whether she’s dead or alive. I noticed a tuft of baleflame that’s around a hundred kegs’ worth in the form of a vortex just now, and heard her calling for help from within....”

A hundred kegs of baleflame? Tianming’s eyes widened at the sound of that. It was a huge treasure! However, he was doubtful of the so-called cries for help. Suishen Jiguang thought that he was an actual native of the Yin-Yang World, but little did she know that he didn’t even dare to enter the Inner Yin.

”My dear benefactor, can you come with me to that tuft of baleflame? I promise I’m only here to look for someone. I’m not here to touch what belongs to the Yin-Yang World,” she earnestly said.

Tianming fell silent.

Seeing him troubled, Eminent Jiguang added, ”I know that I already owe you a lot, yet I still dared to ask you for a favor. I really apologize for asking for so much. If there’s anything you need me for, please let me know. I can even help you get some cultivation resources from Myriadpath Valley if you wish.”

Tianming gave it some thought and said, ”The calm season’s almost past. Entering the Inner Yin will be risky.”

”If I miss this chance, I might never find another like it. That family member of mine has two children waiting for her to come home,” she worriedly said. She wouldn’t give up even despite the setbacks she had just encountered. She’d been looking for decades and had almost succeeded.

To think that she’s still persisting even after experiencing all that danger.... She’s truly respectable. Tianming asked Yin Chen, ”How long can your bodies last inside the Inner Yin?”

”Not long!”

”That means you can last for a while, at least. I’ve already gained enough from the Yin-Yang World. All that’s left is to wait for the monochrome figurine to finish inspecting that drop of blood and see if I can obtain the astralship. There isn’t much left for your bodies to do, so I think we can send a portion of them into the Inner Yin to look for Yaoyao’s mother!”

Suishen Jiguang had inadvertently helped him a lot by bringing him the drop of blood of the Yin-Yang World. If Suishen Hongtian knew that what he got had ended up helping Tianming, he would definitely vomit blood from the rage.

As for Yin Chen’s bodies, only a small number of them needed to remain within Tianming’s lifebound space. Even if the rest were wiped out, Tianming could replenish their numbers by finding an infinitum-class world for it to duplicate itself. It was almost impossible to kill!

”If it’s too much to ask—”

Before she finished speaking, Tianming made up his mind. In a deep voice, he said, ”I’ll go with you.”

With Ying Huo and the rest, he was more resilient than normal eminents. He believed he could challenge the storms of the Inner Yin now that Suishen Jiguang was with him.

She was definitely aware that her benefactor was only slightly stronger than Suishen Yue, but not quite at the level of an eminent, so she would look out for him. She was a truly good person. If it had been anyone else, they might in turn capture such a weak benefactor and force the secrets of the Yin-Yang World out of them.

”Really?” Her face lit up like a delighted young girl upon hearing Tianming’s reply. Well, she did still look really young, albeit also mature.

Seeing her so happy, Tianming hurriedly explained, ”I don’t know where that tuft of baleflame you mentioned is, either. I can only go with you to look. I can’t promise I’ll find it.”

”Okay!” She nodded and seemed to trust Tianming’s capabilities more than he himself did.

”Also, if there’s really a hundred kegs of baleflame, I want it,” Tianming said.

”No problem.” She beamed him a beautiful smile, the wind of the storm causing her hair and dress to flutter. Her smile looked like a ray of hope in darkness.

”Also, I’m not as powerful as you, so I need you to protect me inside the Inner Yin,” Tianming clarified.

”Sure.” Eminent Jiguang kept her eyes trained on her savior. Somehow, his demeanor, tone of voice, and style of speech were familiar, though the person she was thinking of could never be as powerful as the one who saved her. ”Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”

Tianming nodded and turned toward the Lumistar Formation before waving at her. ”Follow me!”

”Coming!” She tailed him like an obedient little girl. Their roles had been reversed; usually, she was the one who told Tianming what he could and couldn’t do, but he was currently the one leading her.

I should mess with her a little. One day, when I remove the mask in front of her, she’ll be in for a shock! Hahaha! Other things aside, merely her predicament was enough to make her blush for the rest of her life. Tianming recalled her barely clothed appearance and felt his heart heavily thumping. That was what a true beauty looked like!

”Savior, why are you slouched over?” she asked.

”No unnecessary questions!” Tianming cursed his imperial order for picking that particular astral organ to reside in.

Back in Suishen Cave, Eminent Jinying was spending time in her courtyard with a few of her lady friends. Her husband had been freed from the Midsky Well, so she’d finally regained her status and was able to rely on him once more. But just as the conversation was getting entertaining, she suddenly felt her eyelid twitch.
