Beastmaster of the Ages

”They’re heading in my direction. So far, they’re on the right path!” The situation was extremely dangerous for Tianming. He would have no chance of escape if they met him. Even if he revealed his true identity as Li Tianming instead of the Mistrunner, his real identity would still prompt Yumo Qiangming to kill him without hesitation.

His only hope lay in the small black and white flower in his hand!

”Go!” Moving quickly, he used his Fiveway Blitzrun to rush to the black and white statue and placed the small flower into the slot. It was a perfect fit. Tianming was about to withdraw his hand when he realized that his palm was stuck to the statue, unable to pull free.

Suddenly, the entire metal planet violently shook. The black-and-white statue began glowing with celestial patterns, radiating an incredibly blinding light that surged toward Tianming’s hand.

”These dense celestial patterns... they resemble the core of a divine astralship formation!” Tianming was overjoyed. Based on his observation, he concluded that the metal planet was indeed an astralship left behind by the Yin-Yang World! And now he was likely gaining the right to inherit it.

”Fantastic!” Filled with joy, he felt the black-and-white celestial patterns, resembling countless blooming flowers, beginning to flow into his body, etching themselves on his astrons.

At that very moment, something unexpected happened. The celestial patterns that had just entered his body suddenly retreated and the statue before him spoke, saying something that almost made him spit in shock.

”Fuck you! Where did this little thief come from? You dare to steal my astralship without our Yin-Yang World’s bloodline?” The voice was so loud that it almost ruptured Tianming’s eardrums. He couldn’t tell if the words were being spoken live or a remnant from the past, but it was clear that he had hit a major snag in his attempt to steal the ship!

While he could steal the key, it was impossible to inherit the astralship without the Yin-Yang World’s bloodline. Who could possibly have it? Clearly, no one he knew.

”Damn!”

Before he could react, the black and white statue dimmed and another voice echoed in his ears. ”Come back when you have the proper bloodline!”

Tianming watched as the huge black-and-white statue began shrinking. In the blink of an eye, it had become a tiny figure less than ten centimeters tall resting in his hand, with the black-and-white flower transformed into a pattern on it.

”What does this mean? Do I still have a chance?” Even though he hadn’t been able to fuse with the statue, he could still take it with him, right?

A powerful force struck Tianming and sent him flying. In the blink of an eye, he found himself ejected from the metal planet.

At the same time, Yumo Qiangming and Yu Nu had also been ejected. Both of them looked disheveled and confused, unsure of what had just happened. They had barely entered when they’d been forcibly thrown out. The fact that the ancient object had the power to eject them left them with strange expressions.

Fortunately, the tiny invisible cockroaches hadn’t been detected, so when the metal planet’s only entrance closed, they were still inside.

Tianming was overjoyed. ”This means that, even if this thing goes elsewhere, Yin Chen can still lead me to it! And as long as it’s within the Yin-Yang World, the Yin Chens inside should remain active and continue exploring.”

As Tianming expected, after the metal planet completely sealed itself, its massive body began falling like an iron ball crashing down from the sky. Its direction was the opposite of the Lumistar Formation.

Yumo Qiangming wanted to pursue it, but the enormous object had already disappeared into the yin-yang essence storm. Clearly, it hadn’t appeared out of thin air earlier, but rather risen from some location below and picked up Tianming.

Yumo Fuyun and the others had arrived first by coincidence, but they didn’t have the flower so entering had been pointless. When they had reached the statue, it’d only confused and disoriented them, forcing them into a grand battle.

Tianming didn’t bother chasing after it. He was holding the now-miniature black and white statue. It was likely the core of the astralship. As long as he had it, he had control of the astralship, so there was no need to chase it.

But although Yumo Qiangming couldn’t catch the metal planet, he still spotted Tianming. ”The Mistrunner!”

Seeing him with his own eyes, Yumo Qiangming finally confirmed that the person who had killed many members of his house truly existed and had come out of the metal planet.

”Catch him!” The Mistrunner held too many secrets. He couldn’t be killed and had to be captured alive.

However, Tianming merely glanced at him, then dissolved into purple mist, vanishing. His Fiveway Blitzrun was so fast that Tian Nu couldn’t catch him earlier, so these two were naturally unable to as well. They might have had a chance in the astralscape, but they had no chance in the chaotic Outer Yin.

Yumo Qiangming and Yu Nu were left frustrated.

”Yu Nu, do you think that thing could be a fortuna-class astralship, comparable to the Grand Myriadpath Ruins?” Yumo Qiangming’s red eyes gleamed.

”Yes! It’s very likely,” Yu Nu nodded. He was an old servant that had served and protected the brothers since they were young.

”The Grand Myriadpath Ruins may seem useless, but it’s incredibly important. It’s the true source of the valley lord’s power! If our house had a fortuna-class astralship of our own, then....” Yumo Qiangming’s eyes burned with obsession.

”We should immediately return and report this to your father,” Yu Nu advised.

”Let’s go!” Yumo Qiangming nodded and vanished.

On the other side, Tianming, seeing they weren’t chasing him, relaxed.

”Let’s study this thing some more.” He pulled out the small black-and-white statue and began inspecting it.

Yin Chen reported that the metal planet had sunk far below, likely entering the Inner Yin, where it had finally come to a complete stop. It had already explored much of the interior and found no signs of living beings.

”So do the Yin-Yang World’s survivors exist after all? And where’d Yaoyao’s mother go?” Even now, Tianming felt that he was surrounded by mysteries.

However....

”At least things are becoming clearer.”

And the most important clue was the small statue in Tianming’s hand.
