Beastmaster of the Ages

Tianming’s Sky Plundering Eye morphed into a hundred compound eyes and scanned the crystal coffin. Its claws turned finer and finer until they were like needles so they could undo that intricate lock!

The hand worked away while the eye searched through the complicated formation. Black and white divine celestial patterns appeared like lines to the Sky Plundering Eye. Tianming could clearly see the network of lines. Although they were linked together in complicated bunches, they still had weaknesses; even the most complicated knot would have a weak point to unravel them. And he could see through the confusing maze to find the key knots to unravel, a talent that only sky plunderers possessed.

”Whether this coffin is made by some actual native of the Yin-Yang World or some other power, it won’t be able to remain locked before me!” Tianming grew faster once he was accustomed to it. His hand moved up and down the coffin, causing the divine celestial patterns to morph and change.

In time, the coffin itself started looking more and more ethereal. When he was finally done unlocking it, the coffin turned into many flowers of light that scattered away, leaving only the black-and-white flower that had lain within the coffin in the first place. It gently fell into his hand.

”I did it!” Right as he obtained the flower, the Yin Chens around him that formed the room could no longer hold up against the essence storms and scattered. ”I wonder what kind of secrets this flower holds? It was locked up so tight, after all.”

Tianming couldn’t identify the material it was made of, but it didn’t seem harmful. All of a sudden, the flower shook, then began to glow and turn in a specific direction. No matter how Tianming spun it around, the flower faced the same direction like a sunflower facing the sun.

Is it guiding me somewhere? Tianming immediately headed deeper into the Outer Yin in the direction pointed to by the flower.

Somewhere in the Outer Yin were around ten reverends from House Yumo. They had heard about the Mistrunners and decided to form big groups when they headed into the Yin-Yang World. Even though it would greatly decrease the amount of baleflame each of them obtained, they would endure it until they learned who the Mistrunners really were.

”Everyone, don’t worry. All those who’ve died at the hands of the Mistrunners are weaker than the sixth level of the Foundation stage. All of us are sixth-level foundationeers and there’s even three seventh-level foundationeers with us, including a major pathkeeper like Yumo Fuyun. Even if a Mistrunner comes, we’ll be able to take them down,” said a short and thin middle-aged man. He was ugly, clad in black, and emanated a heavy baleful aura. The starblood he had consumed had greatly disfigured his appearance to disgusting proportions even though it hadn’t affected his endurance.

He was Reverend Xiaogui, one of the three seventh-level foundationeers. He was a level stronger than Qitian Muchen. Even though his prime was almost over, having cultivated for around four thousand years, seventh-level foundationeers like him still commanded quite a high position in the Three Exalted Houses, making him quite a powerful elder.

Yumo Fuyun was a youth with a huge build, clad in black. He stood straight and disciplined and seemed rather handsome. As a major pathkeeper of House Yumo and a seventh-level foundationeer, he had a higher status than Suishen Yue. Not to mention, he was ranked in the nineties on the Maniverse Ranking.

Once he reached the age of Suishen Yue, it would be trivial for him to rise to the top ten, hence why he had been given the title of major pathkeeper. Needless to say, he was respected by the others around him.

Initially, Yumo Fuyun hadn’t wanted to travel in a group, but his parents were incredibly worried about him and forced him to go along with them. Fortunately, the ’seniors’ in his group had gifted him all of the baleflame, so he’d managed to gather enough to put up with them.

Additionally, there was an incredibly attractive member in their group: Reverend Qiyao, Reverend Hongyi’s elder sister. Even though she wasn’t a redtongue variant specter, she was even more attractive than her younger sister. In terms of age, she was only a few hundred years older than Yumo Fuyun, making her someone in the same generation as Eminent Jiguang. She was currently a seventh-level foundationeer as well.

Yumo Fuyun was rather pleased by having a pretty elder sister sticking close and serving him. While he feigned ignorance of her numerous advances, he still enjoyed the special treatment.

Tianming had noticed the group of specters long ago. Though he wanted to kill them, they were quite a powerful group, making it quite a risky proposition. Thus, he had Yin Chen monitor them without making a move. House Yumo had lost twenty eminents, one major pathkeeper, and two minor pathkeepers to Tianming, all of whom belonged to peak bloodlines. But he still hadn’t had enough. Half of the calm season had passed, so he was pressed for time!

Initially, he hadn’t wanted to confront the group. Coincidentally, however, they were in the way of where he wanted to go as guided by the flower. What made him even more speechless was the weird things that began happening.

All of a sudden, the short Reverend Xiaogui noticed the changes. ”You guys over there! Look!”

Nine of the other specters were startled by the shout and immediately turned to look. They saw a gigantic spherical object appear right before their eyes within the storm. It looked like a metal planet.

”Is that a divine astralship?” Yumo Fuyun was completely flabbergasted. In terms of volume, the metal planet did seem to be as large as a divine astralship. Every specter present looked like fine dust in comparison. Not to mention, they were absolutely certain that the object had appeared out of nowhere without warning. How could nobody from Myriadpath Valley have run into something so big if it had been there all along?
