Beastmaster of the Ages

Although Tianming’s grandparents had known Lin Xiaodao for a long time and trusted him very much, he still kept certain things to himself just to be on the safe side. However, the situation was different now. All of a sudden, the Star Hunters, bandits of the astralscape of order, had appeared and had their eye on the Myriadstar Zone, though they’d ended up losing a few “teeth” in their endeavor. There was no way they could just let it go and would certainly be back. Which respectable person would become an interstellar thief?

Master’s right. Unowned nova sources are the most valuable resources of a mundus. They dare to steal from the Myriadstar Zone because they’re sure that the Infinitum Bodhimanda only exists in name now that the ebons and Yi Daiyan are fighting. They know there’s no one to hold them accountable because Master is hiding on Gladeus and the Infinitum Bodhimanda is wracked with internal turmoil. They’ll definitely return!

And they wouldn’t be as reckless next time. Besides the fact that Yin Chen had notified them of the Star Hunters in time, Lin Xiaodao was able to repel the enemy because they’d been a little careless.

Given the current circumstances, safeguarding the Myriadstar Zone and truly defeating such greedy criminals will be very difficult!

Lin Xiaodao turned the Gladean Ruins around while Tianming contemplated the situation, cursing and swearing the entire time. ”Dammit! I have to report this to Ebonia. I’ll leave it to Yi Daiyan or the ebons. Anyway, it isn’t my problem. These nova sources don’t even belong to me.”

Even though he said that, he knew in his heart that Yi Daiyan wasn’t equipped to fight the Star Hunters. The ebons were now out of her control, and a battle against the Star Hunters would require a large number of astralships. Now that the two sides were at odds, the Infinitum Regal Clans wouldn’t take risks for Yi Daiyan. The only ones that could manage the Myriadstar Zone were the ebons, yet Shenxi Xingtian had dealings with the Star Hunters. Lin Xiaodao was afraid that they would take the initiative to cooperate with the Star Hunters in order to capture Gladeus.

”So you mean to abandon the Myriadstar Zone if the Star Hunters return with their fleet to lure you out of Gladeus for the ebons to attack the Hellstar Formation?” Tianming asked.

”Of course. Gladeus is our base, so we don’t have a choice. It frustrates me to think that these unowned nova sources might go to those bastards, but there’s nothing we can do….” Even an optimistic person like Lin Xiaodao was feeling helpless.

”I need to keep an eye on the Ebonfiend. The Gladean Ruins can’t leave the moment the Ebonfiend sets off for Gladeus.”

But without the Gladean Ruins, there were no forces strong enough to stop the Star Hunters. The current problem was all because he failed to destroy the Traceless.

”Master, I think we can fight for the Myriadstar Zone.” Taking a deep breath, Tianming made a decision.

”Fight for it? What do you mean, my good disciple?” Lin Xiaodao asked.

”Aren’t you curious where my astralship came from?” Tianming said.

”My goodness, you’re finally willing to tell me?” Lin Xiaodao rolled his eyes.

”You moved me with the Imperator’s Mural,” Tianming replied.

”Yeah, right. I can tell that you’re just unwilling to give up these unowned nova sources. Why else would you send Master Chen there?” Lin Xiaodao pursed his lips. It was clear he knew.

That being the case, Tianming no longer hesitated. ”I have a skypiercer-class nova source world that’s essentially a fallen world. It was once at least an imperial-class world. My astralship originated from there. Of course, the Gladean Ruins should also be related to it.”

Lin Xiaodao didn’t delve into the details. The result would be the same as long as it was above sanctuary-class. ”It was once the flameyellow divinities’ world?” Although Lin Xiaodao had speculated about it, he never imagined such a fallen world would exist. Thus, he was shocked.

”Yes! I’ve hidden it somewhere in the Infinitum Mundus. It’s safe for now,” said Tianming.

”So that’s why you kept it to yourself. It’s a shocking secret indeed. I’m guessing you wouldn’t have said anything if the Gladean Ruins weren’t of the same origin. I understand and I forgive you!” Lin Xiaodao said, rolling his eyes.

”My grandparents don’t even know about it,” Tianming confessed.

”You can really keep a secret. Should I feel honored?” Lin Xiaodao glared at him.

”Of course. You can see how much you mean to me,” Tianming said.

”Hmph! You think I don’t know you want to use the unowned nova sources in the Myriadstar Zone to fill up your world?” Lin Xiaodao laughed.

”It’s still better than letting the Star Hunters take them, isn’t it?” Tianming retorted.

”Of course. I don’t want the Star Hunters to have anything, not even a pile of shit! But what about the Infinitum Bodhimanda….” Crossing his arms, Lin Xiaodao began to think.

”You just said that the ebons may try to trade the unowned nova sources away, while Yi Daiyan isn’t equipped to safeguard them. The thieves are at our door and we’re stuck here because of the ebons. What can we do? Well, the first thing would be to do our best to protect these nova sources. It isn’t like those people on Ebonia can do anything to us,” Tianming said, filled with righteous indignation.

Eyes lighting up, Lin Xiaodao smiled. ”You’re right! We aren’t misappropriating public property, we’re protecting what belongs to the Infinitum Bodhimanda. What we’re doing is noble. They’ll have no right to condemn us.”

Tianming wouldn’t have thought about the nova sources if the Star Hunters hadn’t tried to rob them. But now, they had a legitimate reason to “protect” these unowned nova sources.

”We’ve dealt with public opinion, and now for the real problems….” Pursing his lips, Lin Xiaodao stared at Tianming and continued, ”There’s four things I must know. First of all, where is your nova source world and how long would it take to reach the Myriadstar Zone? How will you move it? Secondly, is it really a world that once surpassed ether-class? Can it absorb all the unowned nova sources in the Myriadstar Zone? Next, how powerful is its fusion and astralguard formation? Do you have control over them? Can it withstand attacks from an ether-class astralship if it does absorb all the nova sources? And lastly, how many people are there on it? Can you evacuate them? How sure are you that it can resist the Ebonfiend?”
