Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 346: Chapter 344:“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

”wha... what’s that?”

”Ahh! What the fuck?”

”Who... who the hell is that?”

I ignored the reactions from the crowd around me as I dragged the massive corpse behind me. Well, it was half a corpse but it was proof enough and that’s all that mattered.

Now. I could’ve easily carried this thing in my inventory or used a less conspicuous method to bring it here..

But..

What would be the fun in doing that? How would these bastards come to appreciate my greatness if I didn’t show off properly?

Hummmm!!! Hummm!!!

Seems even Elira, this stubborn girl, was in agreement as she hummed happily. Well, either that or she’s just glad to finally be out and about. Either way, she’s happy and not giving me and earful, so a win is a win.

”Haa.. finally. We’re here.” Giving a mock sigh of exhaustion, I dropped the large creature’s corpse to the floor.

BOOM!

A cloud of dust rose as the creature’s body hit the ground hard.

”Woah!!”

”Is that.... Damn! Who killed this thing?”

”A calamity-grade Gorath? Who’s the big shot!”

A cacophony of exclamations rose as those outside the building surrounded the fallen carcass.

I landed amidst the confusion, back straight. Face indifferent. Grabbing the thing by its leg with my left hand while Elira remained held in my right, I looked behind me..

”I don’t want to look for you when I come out.” I ordered my impromptu assistant.

”Ahhh!! Lord outsider.. please.. can I just..” my eyes slowly turned cold..

”I’ll be right here. I won’t move an inch.”

”Good.” Giving him a brilliant smile, I turned my focus back on the building. Taking a deep breath to center myself, I kicked the door open and stepped inside like I owned the place.

”Ehh?” The commotion successfully attracted the attention of everyone inside.

Their eyes widened when they saw the monster I was pulling behind me. The shock rising even more once the aura of the thing hit them.

”Heh! That’s right. Bask in my awesomeness! Hahahahahahaha!!”

Not going to lie. I was enjoying the commotion.

Looking around, I caught sight of the abyss walker that had registered the mission for me, then I approached her.

”Hey there pretty lady. What did I tell you? Easy work.”

BANG!

The floor shook as I let the monster’s leg fall from my grip.

”Ahhh! Sir... sir absolute. You’re back! And with...” her eyes shrunk in fright when she felt the residual wave of aura spilling off the monster.

”This... this... I...”

”Hey! Lady! I can’t understand what you’re saying. Will this do or not? Don’t tell me I actually still botched the test?” I almost panicked when I thought of that outcome.

”No... no... sir absolute. Please.. just.. give me a moment..”

”Alright. So long as I didn’t fail. Do what you gotta do.” I relaxed. Seems she was merely shocked at the sight before her.

Step. Step. Step.

A few minutes after she disappeared into the back, I could hear hurried footsteps approaching.

I looked up and came face to face with the same horned abyss walker that handled my registration.

”Oyyy!!!! Old man!! Back the fuck up!!”

I jumped back in sheer horror.

What? You try seeing the wrinkled old face of some geezer all up in your face like that.

”I’m warning you, you old bastard! I don’t swing that way. If you make any suspicious moves, I’m swinging!” I made my stance clear immediately.

”Huh?” The old abyss walker seemed confused as he tilted his head.

”Ahh!.. I’m sorry dear outsider if I came on too strong. Forgive me. I was just a bit excited.” He finally realized his mistake as he bowed in apology.

Keeping my guard up. I slowly lowered Elira.

”Just don’t do that shit again old man.”

”I’m sorry.”

”Alright. So, are you the one who’s going to complete the process for me?” I gestured to the carcass still lying unattended to behind me.

His gaze finally shifted to behind me.

I could see the literal shine in those old reddish eyes of his.

”Marvelous. Young man. How.. how did you hunt down a calamity-grade gorath. Those things never leave the ashen plains.”

He asked in a tone not short of worship.

”Heh! Old man. What happened to not registering me due to my weak mortal rank? How are you so sure I killed it? Hmm.?”

”This...” if he had a normal complexion, I’m sure his face would’ve reddened in embarrassment by now.

”Young master. Let’s leave the past in the past. I was wrong and I take full responsibility for my own words. I apologize.”

Damn! Would you look at that. Seems abyss walkers had more manners than even most humans. Well at least this old man did.

And seeing his reaction, it would’ve felt wrong if I continued, so.

”I just headed over to the ashen plains and well... killed it.”

”You... went to the ashen plains?” His expression morphed into pure shock.

”Yea. Was a persistent fucker. But nothing too difficult to handle.” I shrugged.

”I can’t believe it. You were actually able to capture a Calamity-grade gorath from the plains and kill them after escaping.”

”Uhhh....”

”All this, while still being a mortal-rank warrior? I have indeed seen greatness.”

”No. You’re missing the point. I...”

”Please. Young master, accept my bow of honor.”

Here I am trying to correct this old fuck’s misunderstanding.

I didn’t just kill this one. I killed the entire fucking plains. But he was babbling nonsense so I just lost interest.

”Alright. That’s enough sentimentality.”

”Get this over with.”

”I’ve got another monster to kill. I don’t have time to waste.”

”Surely. I’ll do that right away. But. I believe your exploits deserve more than a simple riftstrider recognition.”

Now that’s what I like to hear.

”Hahahahahaha!! Old man. Me and you are going to get along very well.” I laughed out loud as I followed him towards the back, leaving the female abyss walker staring in shock behind us.

.......

Outside the wanderer guild building.

”Heh! Well look who we have here.” A snide voice broke out behind the abyss walker Dante had recruited.

His face paled as he turned around.

”Marek...”

BANG!!!

A punch to the face sent the abyss walker crumbling to the floor.

”Sulvan. Don’t tell me you’re trying to run away from your responsibilities now.” The speaker, an abyss walker with deep purple skin, sneered. Lightning crackled along his body as he looked down at the fallen abyss walker called Sulvan.

”No.. no.. I swear. I’m not avoiding anything...”

BANG...

Crack!

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!

”Shhh.... Since when did you start talking back? Look at this fucker. Now he’s grown some major balls huh?”

”HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... Lord marek. I don’t understand why you enjoy playing with this fool. Just end it already.”

The man’s entourage laughed.

”Ahhh... I can’t do that. His sister still thinks I’m the best thing to happen to their family. If I kill this fucker now. She might find out and complicate things.”

”I think my lord is worried over the wrong things. No woman would dare leave you. Especially not over some failure like this.”

BANG!!

Another kick was delivered to the already curled up and weeping abyss walker.

”Hahahahaha... you might be right. That bitch always did talk shit about her useless brother whenever I was done dumping my load. Hahahahahaha...”

”NOOO!!! YOU BASTARD!!”

The downed abyss walker suddenly yelled out in rage, but...

SMACK!!!

”Shut up! You little fucker.”

A slap sent him crashing right back down.

”Now...” the lead man, marek, bent down and pulled the abyss walker up by his hair.

”Where are the funds for this month? Or do you think your whore sister spreading her legs means you’re exempt from paying your fees?”

”Pl... please...”

”Heh! You think you can take my leniency for granted?” The man pulled him in closer.

”Tell you what? If you don’t pay up, I’ll make sure the decay plaguing your mother accelerates. Let’s see you find someone proficient enough in a supreme law to save her life.”

”Please... I’ll pay!”

”Just don’t touch my mother!”

”Please...”

The abyss walker, Sulvan, broke down. Tears flooding his face..

”Hahahahahaha.....”

”Oyy.” A voice sounded from behind the group.

Calm.

Cold.

A massive shadow being cast over them as the temperature plummeted.

A suffocating killing intent gripping them like a vice.

”What the fuck...”

”...do you think you’re doing...”

”...to my assistant?”
