Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 302: Chapter 300:“Who?”

A/N: yes. I am doing it again, but, can you blame me? 300! 300 flipping Chapters.. I’m honestly shocked I’ve come this far. I thought the story would’ve died long before this, but you guys keep showing me that I’m not just writing for myself, but that there are those that truly, even if only to pass time, read my flawed work. For that, I am eternally grateful.

We just took another small step toward that big 1K. And I’m looking forward to then.

I could have put this at the end of the Chapter, but then you guys would’ve been able to skip my appreciation, so no, you’re being appreciated forcefully, hahahaha..

But truly, I am forever grateful for your love and continued support, we keep pushing, up next.

400, and with all that said,

Enjoy.

”Arrrgghhhh.... My life is ruined...” Mira crouched at one side of the room as she moped.

”Hey, why are you acting like it’s the end of the world or something? This wouldn’t be the first time we’re ending up in the same bed, together.” I asked, not bothering to move from my relaxed position, fully inclined to enjoy Mira crash out.

Watching the reserved, and calm Mira lose her mabbles in embarrassment? I’m there everytime.

”Shut it! You know what it’ll look like for an heiress to wake up in the bed of a man she’s not wedded to? Do you know the scandal it would arouse in a family like mine?” She snapped.

”Meh. Who cares? I mean, if it truly bothered you, you would have left ages ago, instead of faking a tantrum over there.” I shrugged.

”I’m not faking anything.” She sighed, finally getting up, adjusting the strap of her gown.

”Bummer...” I muttered under my breath as the view suddenly got less attractive.

”Khalifa was right after all.” She shook her head, sitting down elegantly at the edge of the bed.

”Hmm? Right about what?”

”About you being a shameless pervert.”

”Says the woman that somehow snuck into my room, slept ontop of me, then ended up acting like the victim.”

”Ughh... don’t remind me..” she groaned.

”Heh!” I finally stood up, nothing but my underwear covering my nudity.

Pop!

Crack!

I stretched, my bones popping and snapping into the right places, enjoying Mira’s heated gaze as a satisfied sigh left my lips, I turned,

”You know, I don’t get it.”

”Hmm?” She finally snapped out of her trance, ”get what?”

”You. All of you.”

”What do you mean?”

”What I mean is, you guys have someone like Kaila within your circle, yet somehow, you all act surprised when you start acting out of character or start adapting one weird behavior or another. It’s quite obvious who the bad egg is.”

”Pfft.... Hahahahahaha...” she laughed. The sound like morning bells, soothing and relaxing.

”Don’t let her hear you, or she won’t let you off.” She said in between laughter.

”Meh. I’ll just tie her up and spank her, yet something tells me she’ll just find that fun instead. Haaa... why’s my life so complicated?”

”Complaining about having to deal with beautiful women is a first, even for me.”

”Well, when you’re this good looking, it tends to be a lifelong dilemma, Curse my divine beauty.” I flicked my hair back dramatically.

”Pfft.... Hahahahaha... you’re crazy, you know that?”

”Thanks for the compliment.”

I smiled, noticing the visible shift in her mood.

Gone was the earlier stiffness, now she was more relaxed and open, looking radiant as ever, despite having just woken up.

Knock!

Knock!

A soft knocking sound at the door caught both our attention, as Mira answered before I could,

”Enter.” It seems she didn’t really care for being seen either way.

Creak..

the doors creaked as a maid walked in, head lowered deferentially.

The uniform was criminally tight and exposing in all the right places,

”Master Dante, I’m here to help you with your bath.” She spoke up, not daring to raise her head.

”Hmm? Well, would you look at that?” I smiled.

”Humph!” A cold snort rang out from my side as I turned to Mira,

”What? Jealous I get to have a bombshell of a maid attending to me?” My smirk widened.

”Jealous? Me?” Mira seemed genuinely stunned at the insinuation before she laughed, hard.

”Please, Dante, not in a million years will this... thing, ever be able to compare with me, so what exactly do I have to be jealous of?”

”Damn.. humble aren’t we?”

”You know I’m right.”

”Well, can’t say you’re not.” I shrugged before turning to the now trembling maid.

”Now look what you’ve done, Mira, you scared the poor girl.” I shot an accusatory look at the white haired beauty.

”Humph! She should be glad I’m not executing her for negligence instead.” Only for her to snort and cross her arms.

”You’re being too harsh. She probably didn’t expect her heiress to be a sneaky predator that gets into unsuspecting men’s rooms at night, can’t blame her for not having any idea.”

”Ack... stop saying it like that.”

”But it’s true, no?”

”Haaa... again, I understand Khalifa alot better now,”

”Oh? What do you mean?” I asked, finally approaching the maid that looked one moment away from giving up the ghost

”What I mean is, I’m having a sudden urge to stab you something right about now.”

”Careful. Such a thing often means you’re finally catching feelings.”

”Heh! You wish!”

I ignored the white haired heiress as I finally stood before the trembling maid, her short frame barely reaching my torso.

I bent, coming to eye level with her, as I raised her chin with a finger,

”Hey there.”

Her entire face went white as a sheet as she suddenly collapsed on her knees,

”Forgive me!! I didn’t know the heiress was with someone! Please! I have a sister! And parents! And...”

”Woah! Woah! Easy! I’m not going to hurt you, and neither is that big bad, scary, white haired monster.”

”HEY!”

”You... you’re not?” She asked, still terrified.

”I’m not. I just came to let you know that I’m fine, and you can leave whenever you want.” Done saying my piece, I stood up and turned around, taking a single step, I appeared right before Mira as I scooped her up into my arms.

”HEY! Put me down!”

”Nope! You’re coming with me, miss universe, it’s time for our bath.”

”I never agreed to this!”

”I agreed for you, now quiet.”

Her prostests went completely unanswered as the bathroom door closed behind us, leaving a still terrified, very confused maid behind, but that, was none of our concern.

...

...

Within a grand hall fit for kings, myself, Mira, Claire, and Clarissa, sat as we had our breakfast, rows of manservants waiting to attend to our needs.

”So, Mira, mind telling me why you’re dressed like... that?” Claire, Mira’s mother, asked, as she put her fork down, an eyebrow raised In curiosity.

”It’s comfortable.” Mira replied, dabbing her lips with a napkin.

”It’s a man’s clothes.”

”Doesn’t stop it from being comfortable.”

”Sister, mind helping me out here?” The woman turned to clarissa for help, as she seemed very disgruntled with the fact that Mira was putting on one of the clothes they’d ”borrowed” from me.

”Mira.....” Clarissa began, tone solemn as she stared dead into Mira’s eyes,

”Tell me...” she paused, the atmosphere thickening as Claire smiled triumphantly, yet it was short lived as soon after,

”Where did you get those clothes??? And can I have some too?? They look sooooo comfy!!” Clarissa’s eyes had turned sparkly as she asked like an excited child.

”Aunt Clarissa, they’re Dante’s, and they indeed very comfy, I’ve got loads more, I don’t mind sharing.”

Clarissa spawned by Mira’s side like a ghost as she grabbed the young lady.

”Really?”

”Of course.”

”Then what are we waiting for? Let’s ditch this place and go to your room!!”

I could feel the disapproving gaze of Mira’s mother on me, so I turned,

”Believe me, I’ve tried to stop them too, I barely have any clothes for myself.” I lamented, hoping she would understand, but it only seemed to make matters worse.

Yet before we could get into any form of argument..

KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

A sharp and terrified scream cut us off.

”What happened?” Claire stood up immediately as her form blurred and she disappeared.

”Haaa... I guess our fashion session will have to wait some time.” Clarissa sighed, ”Dante, you two come along.” Before her body blurred and vanished as well.

”So? Shall we?” I approached Mira, stretching forth my hand.

She smiled, took it, then, ”let’s shall.” As our bodies vanished from the spot as well.

....

....

”Oh my.....”

”What.... Happened?”

”How could....”

”The elder.... Who could possibly do such a thing?”

A crowd had gathered at what Mira called the Assembly, a place where major meetings regarding family affairs were held by the matriarch and all the elders.

Each and every single person’s gaze was trained to the massive double doors of the assembly.

There, a figure had been stripped bare, whipped, castrated, their eyes pulled out, tongue cut off, as all four limbs were placed in macabre fashion right beneath it.

The body looked like it had been placed under the heat of the sun for millennia as it was nothing but a dried up husk.

The only thing left intact, the only thing the people had used to identify the thing, being a perfectly intact blue mage’s robe and a walking staff that belonged undeniably to,

”Elder Grace... who would dare do something like this?”

**********

A/N: are we dead ass asking such a thing? Really? Oh come now! Want me to spell it out for you guys? Haaa... hopeless, but anyways,
