Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 285: Chapter 284:Morvak.

Though my eyes remained closed, my senses were still focused on each of the girls, and their reactions as they listened to the demoness were more or less what I expected.

Kaila had gone from skeptical to almost tears, seeing her looking like this, it was obvious that despite her devious tendencies, she still had quite the gentle soul, I guess both of them were sisters indeed in that respect.

Mira’s face had gone blank.

She didn’t seem surprised one bit at what she was hearing, her expression one that said ’I’ve heard it all a thousand times before.”

Cara’s expression had turned complicated, her eyes shifting towards me every now and then.

It looked like she wanted to feel bad for the demoness but was worried about how I’d take it if she did.

”Such a sweet girl.”

As for Melissa. She had gone dead silent.

The heat surrounding her having already cooled down.

Her face was expressionless as she heard about what an elder from her family had done to helpless women and children.

.......

”And that’s when miss Khalifa and lord Dante arrived to get us out, without their help, I don’t know what would’ve become of me and Lucien..” she concluded her story, a sad smile still visible on her face.

”You don’t have to keep calling me Miss Khalifa, I’m not that old, we might even be the same age, just call me Khalifa or Khali instead.”

”But...”

”No buts... alright? And that bastard isn’t any lord, so don’t go around calling him that..”

”Alright then.... Kha... Khalifa..”

”That’s it..” Khalifa smiled as she finally turned towards the girls.

”They didn’t have anywhere else to go, and I doubt Lustria will be a welcoming place for them, so I decided to let them tag along, of course not without Dante’s permission.” Khalifa added.

Silence fell as each of the girls seemed to be deep in thought, until,

”D...” Melissa called out.

”Hmmm?” I finally opened my eyes, looking at her.

Her eyes were a pool of smoldering rage, the temperature around her, I could feel it.

It was so controlled that one would miss it, but heat doesn’t lie.

The amount of fire she was compressing, if let out, let’s just say the academy is lucky she has good self control.

”Did you make it painful?”

”I did..”

”How painful?”

”Enough for him to remain tranumatize even in hell.”

”Thank you.”

”It’s what I ought to do. The piece of trash dared meddle in my affairs.”

”Hum.” Melissa nodded, getting up from her seat as she approached the demon.

I could see Hope look up, confusion clear on her face.

What happened next shook me, as Melissa bowed her head completely.

”I’m sorry.” She spoke out loud.

”Wha... what?”

”I’m sorry for what happened to you and your brother.”

”It’s... it’s not your fault.. please, raise your head.”

”No. For someone of my own family to do something so inhumane. It is only right that I ask for your forgiveness.” She remained headstrong.

”I promise you this,I’ll make sure to hold my family accountable for what they did to you and those girls.” She added as she raised her head up.

”You.. you don’t have to. That’s an ancient family, no need risking yourself for a lowly demon like myself.”

”Hehehehe... don’t worry, I won’t be risking my life at all...”

”Ehh?”

”I’ll be risking Dante’s life, after all, he’s an unkillable cockroach.”

”HEY!!”

”Yea...” Mira.

”Don’t worry!! Dante will be sure to get revenge for you!” Cara

”Fufufufu... he already has demons and Draken on his kill list, so you can consider yourself avenged.” Melissa suddenly nodded like a saint, offering my wellbeing for a demon, a DEMON! No less!

”I never agreed to this!!”

”Yaaayyyy!!! Big brother hurt lots of bad men and Lucien gets to watch!!!!!” The little munchkin that had been silent all this while suddenly burst out in excitement.

”Fuck!!!” I cussed as I felt five pairs of violent gazes settle upon me.

”Little man, couldn’t you have kept quiet?”

”Tehehe... so.. sorry big brother...”

”Dante.... Give us the child..” suddenly the attention had shifted from the demoness to the little guy that had shrunk back into my hair.

”Hey, I don’t want any trouble, you can have him.”

”Little man.. come out, your big sisters just want to hold you..”

”Nuh uh!!! Lucien is fine here!!”

”Shit!!” The girls’ eyes had started spiraling, the murderous intent in the air sending a chill down my spine.

”Little man, if you don’t come out, we’ll both die.”

”Then Lucien will happily die with big brother.”

”Danteee....”

”Fuck!!”

At this moment, there was only one sane choice left to make,

”Hey.. little man....”

”Hmm...”

”When I give the signal, we’re running.”

”One.

Two.

NOW!!!”

POOF!

WINK!

Before any of the girls could react, the little demon had disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke whilst instant transmission pulled me out of that death trap.

”DANTEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!”

......

”HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH.... Again!! Again!! Again!!!” We appeared right within the outer court plaza as the little guy burst out laughing.

”Again? You don’t fear death do you?” I laughed, patting the overexcited demon on his head.

”Pooh... big brother isn’t fun.”

”If fun means getting jumped by ravenous women, then no thanks little man.”

”Blergh...” he just stuck his tongue out as he laid on top of my head.

I stood properly, looking around, getting ready to move when,

”Are you Dante Draven?” A man’s voice sounded behind me, I turned, and came face to face with a lionman.

”Hmm? I know you?” I asked, brows raised at the beastman before me.

The way his ears stood and flickered atop his head, his jutting canines, the taut muscles, he looked like someone that would be good with his fists.

”You don’t, but my young master has been looking for you, come with me.”

Now that was something.

Someone has been looking for me? But I just arrived like a few hours ago, how could anyone have been looking for me?

”And who’s your young master?”

”You’re not qualified to know, now stop asking questions and come with me!”

”Yea, how about no?”

”You dare decline?” The lionman growled.

I looked at him properly, the card hanging around his neck, with the silver INNER inscribed on it said clearly where this guy had come from.

”Insolent!”

”Do you know whose summons you refused?”

I ignored the big cat, still thinking of where I’d rather be than not here.

”Hehehehe... big kitty upset. Big brother! Big brother! You upset the big kitty, heheheheheheh!! Lucien thinks he’s about to cry!! Cry kitty cry!! Hehehehehe..” I was starting to get used to the fact that this little guy seemed to have an affinity for causing trouble, as the beast man’s expression immediately fell.

”You dare taunt me???? You foolish child!!” The beastman stretched out his claws, aiming for Lucien.

Shing!

Psshhhhh!!!!!

A spurt of blood, and the stretched arm flew into the air as it was cleanly severed.

...

....

A few moments passed before the pain seemed to register and the lionman wailed..

”AHHHHHHHH...”

BAM!!!

Only to get shut down as I slammed his face into the ground.

BAM!!!

Again!

BAMMM!!

And again.

I didn’t stop until his face was nothing but mashed meat and broken skull.

”Hehehehehehehe!!! Again!! Again!! Again!! Kitty try hurt Lucien, big brother hurt kitty!! Bad kitty, bad!” Lucien poofed before the collapsed and unmoving beastman as he began chastising the poor guy.

”Alright little man...” I picked him up by his wing.

”WEEEEEEEE!!!! HEHEHEHE!!!”

”Let’s get going...”

Clap! Clap! Clap!

”Now what do we have here?” The sounds of clapping sounded from behind me as a masculine voice followed.

”You think you can just leave after disrespecting me and beating my man up?”

”Aren’t you looking down on me a bit too much?”

I turned, my eyes landing on the figure of another beastman.

This time around, it was a white furred, black striped tigerkin, his frame was tall, even taller than me, his arms looked like two pillars, packed with enough explosive strength that I could see the twitching veins beneath them.

Each step he took shook the ground, as his aura created a more than 10-meter wide gap around him.

My eyes flashed, ”law comprehension?”

I’d come across law comprehension experts already, hell, even Khalifa and the girls were law comprehension experts, yet this guy felt qualitatively more powerful than any of them.

”There he is!!!”

”Get him!!!”

”Dante!! You bastard!! Give us the kid!!”

The furious voices of the girls snapped me from my stare down with the large tigerkin, as I turned towards the girls.

”Ehhh? You?? What are you doing here?” Kaila was the first to react once she spotted the tigerkin.

”Kaila, my love! A little cat told me that the man you were talking about had appeared, so I just had to come see for myself who my competitor was.”

”Ehh?” The guy’s words made me confused.

Competition? Since when did I ever compete with this guy?

”Morvak... how many times have I told you not to call me that filthy title.”

”Hahahahahaha!! Worry not, my love! Once I’m done with this weakling, you’ll have no choice but to acknowledge my feelings.” The tigerkin laughed her off before turning to me,

”Now then, Dante Draven, I challenge you to a battle to the death for the hand of Kaila Dawn, what say you?”

....

....

”Ehhh?”
