Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 68: Chapter 67:

Following another brilliant flash of light( I was really starting to get sick of all this teleportation nonsense), I found myself on the next floor...

The flash of light didn’t drop me back into the swamp, heck, it didn’t even drop me anywhere soft or earthy. Instead, the ground beneath my feet became cold, unnaturally smooth, and sounded like singing crystal whenever I stepped on it.

I found myself standing at the mouth of a corridor that felt less like a dungeon and more like the inside of a jagged diamond. The walls were made of a translucent, obsidian-like glass, angled in sharp, geometric patterns that caught even the faintest light and bounced it around in a dizzying kaleidoscope. It was narrow—too narrow. If I spread my arms, I could touch both sides, and the ceiling was low enough for my 7ft5 frame to feel cramped in all the wrong ways, if I was any taller, I’d be touching the roof.

The air here was thin and dry, vibrating with a low-frequency hum that made the hair on my arms stand up. Every breath I took felt like I was inhaling static electricity.

Looking down the hall, the reflections seemed to be the real problem. I could see a thousand versions of myself staring back from the facets of the walls, but they were more distorted, stretched, and...strangely...delayed. My reflection moved a half-second after I did.

Then, the ”Elite” of this floor stepped out from a jagged alcove.

It was a Cyclops, at least it was supposed to be..

[MUTATED][ELITE]..

This wasn’t your usual one-eyed, massive club wielding dumb brute. No! This one had been warped by the environment. Its skin a dull, matte grey, like unpolished lead, its single, ginormous eyeball wasn’t organic by any stretch of the imagination. It was a multifaceted lens of pure, shimmering quartz. As its gaze locked onto me, I could feel the atmospheric pressure start to bleed toward that eye, sucked in by some kind of gravitational pull.

”Heh.. really? That’s what we’re doing now? For such an ancient construct, you be very petty sometimes...” I couldn’t help laughing at the ridiculousness of it all..

The tight space..

Reflective surfaces...

Pressure based monster..

Wasn’t this the tower’s way of trying to nerf me? Prevent me from continuing my one-punch for all bonanza?

The Tower seemed to have stopped trying to kill me. It was now trying to catch my punches and throw it right back...

***********

Outside the tower...

”What’s that thing?”

”Is that...a cyclops? Since when do cyclops look like that?”

”Heh... damn, just how good do you have to be to force a trial realm to adapt and try to counter your bullshit??”

The crowd was going wild..

First it was that sham stunt of a ”lizardman” the tower tried to pull off, now it was cyclops with attack reflection capabilities...

”If that doesn’t scream desperate I don’t know what does” a man remarked..

”Hey!!!! Who wants to bet on how many punches it takes Dante to break that thing..!”

Someone shouted from the crowds..

The effect was instantaneous..

No one doubted the ”one-punch-wonder” they all seemed unified in the thought that he was going to clear this spectacularly..

”I say one punch as usual...”

”I go for two.. one for testing, the other to bust the system..”

”Half a punch, he’s probably going to stick it to the tower by using half of what he’s been using earlier..”

The crowds riled and wagered like market women..

Anyone seeing this sight would be hard pressed to believe that these were actually the on site people witnessing the millennium academy trials..

They looked more like rowdy kids wagering over how many attacks it’d take their favorite hero to vanquish his foe...

”Ridiculous...” a supervisor beside valen stood stunned at the sight..

Various esteemed warriors haggling and shouting over some E-rank trial taker, never in his wildest dreams could he have imagined such a thing..

Valen himself looked tired of everything already..

”Sigh....turning such a respectable trial into.....This...” he shook his head wryly...

”You really are too much like your father..” a sad smile graced his features...

**********

Looking at all the preparations the tower had done just to slow me down, I couldn’t help the shit-eating grin that curled up my lips...

”Admirable, but futile nonetheless..”

my skill set made All these setups useless, my strength stat was off the charts, not to mention the ridiculous rate of effectiveness added to it..

There were too many ways to tell the tower ”suck my massive dick” but I’d decided to go for the most disrespectful one....

Rooooooarrrrrrrrrr

Zzz——booooom!!!!!!!

A pressure beam shot straight out of the cyclops single eye as it blasted straight toward me...

I didn’t bother moving because...

I wanted this statement to be as disrespectful as possible..

I placed an arm behind my back, raised my right hand, balled all my fingers and left only my index pointing toward the creature..

The moment I willed it, the raging beam of condensed pressure swiveled, circled my body then gathered at the tip of my fingers..

I could see the grotesque eyeball of the massive creature widen In absolute shock..

”Heh... I’m just getting started...”

I willed it and the atmosphere obeyed... the entire weight of the floor’s atmosphere gathering at the tip of my index finger, the space around it fissuring and cracking like glass..

The moment the weight got ”too heavy” I raised my thumb, took a shooting posture and then ”pew..” I fired...

Fwiiiip..... unlike the usual explosion, this one ripped space apart, piercing the cyclops head before its wide eyed shock could subside..

But that wasn’t the kicker, the intent was to tell the tower and its whole anti-floor wipeout setup, to suck my massive dick..

So with a sharp toothy smile..

”Bang bang bitch....”

Boo...Boooooooommmmm!!!!

The entire floor collapsed inward as the beam imploded on itself, the force from the blast shredding through any so called ”refractive” surfaces, the entire testing floor blowing up to kingdom come, just like the ones before it..

{..}

”What? Cat got your tongue?” I laughed...

I was starting to enjoy this, if not for anything, just to piss off an ancient landmark that seemed to have an extreme case of the OCDs...

”So, shall we...”

{......}

Following a few second delay, seconds that felt like moments the tower took considering if it was worth it letting the nuisance that I was keep ruining its reputation, the light of teleportation finally surrounded me..

”Hehe... that’s a good tower, I promise not to rough you up too much..” I laughed manically as the light teleported me away...
