Immortal of the Nine Realms

The Eight Desolation Supreme Sword Scripture was a true-blue sword inheritance; however, it had nothing to do with cultivation. How and what a sword cultivator chose to cultivate was still up to them. What the scripture taught was the art of killing. It contained very pure killing techniques!

A total of seven sword techniques were recorded in the scripture, each stronger and more ruthless than the last. If all seven were merged into one, the ultimate move would be born. The ultimate move was called Immortal Suppression, and the name implied what it was capable of!

”I cannot achieve Immortal Suppression for now... In fact, except for the first one, I am not qualified to use any of the other six techniques. It all boils down to my cultivation. It’s still too low,” muttered Fang Chen. ”But... now that I have this scripture, getting stronger wouldn’t be an issue in the future.”

Glancing at his sword, Fang Chen couldn’t help but mutter. ”Little Sword, oh, Little Sword... If the Void Immortal Sword Sect finds out that you’re in my hands, won’t they send out sword immortals to capture me?”

He didn’t know how that little rascal Supreme Immortal Pudu had managed to rob the Void Immortal Sword Sect off of Little Sword, but they had to be looking for it. If they found Supreme Immortal Pudu, they’d find out that Little Sword is with him.

Suddenly, a faint laugh interrupted Fang Chen’s train of thoughts.

”So you really are a sword cultivator. No wonder you had the guts to kill the disciples of my Sea Dragon Sect.”

Liu Mu jerked his head nervously toward the sky and saw a figure perched on a flying sword up above, looking down on them from above.

”A Foundation Building Realm cultivator?”

Fang Chen glanced at Xue Fenggui, his face turning increasingly solemn.

There was a big difference between the Qi Refining Realm and the Foundation Building Realm.

”Who exactly are you?” asked Xue Fenggui with a smile.

”You know I am a sword cultivator, so what does it matter where I come from?” Fang Chen smiled faintly. ”You came pretty quickly. How did you know I was here?”

”We of the Sea Dragon Sect aren’t fools. There are countless people in the world who know about us. Naturally, someone informed me of your location,” answered Xue Fenggui indifferently.

Fang Chen laughed. ”But I intentionally took a different route in front of them.”

Xue Fenggui waved his hand lightly, where a chubby little bug appeared in his hand. The bug had thin wings like that of a cicada, and they were constantly fluttering.

Xue Fenggui chuckled. ”A cultivator from the Bai Family practices Parasite techniques. I used this to track you.”

Fang Chen finally understood. ”So, now that you are here, what do you want to do? Are you here to seek revenge for your young sect leader?”

”Yeah, we really do must avenge him....” pondered Xue Fenggui aloud.

Fang Chen smiled. ”Then why are you hesitating? Are you afraid that my backers will find trouble with your Sea Dragon Sect if you make a move?”

Xue Fenggui silently sized Fang Chen up for a moment, then suddenly chuckled. ”If you really had anyone to rely on, you wouldn’t have directly mentioned it in this way. Now I feel reassured. Ordinary cultivators might think that sword cultivators are untouchable, but in reality... there are quite a few sword cultivators with no one to rely on. It’ll be alright for the Sea Dragon Sect even if I kill you right here and now!”

Fang Chen could see that Xue Fenggui’s hesitation had really disappeared, all because of a little slip up on Fang Chen’s end.

Fang Chen sighed. ”So it really is true that anyone who can advance to Foundation Building Realm must be a cunning old fox. None of you lot are fools.”

Xue Fenggui chuckled. ”That might not necessarily be the case.”

”Well, why haven’t you made your move yet? Are you now worried that I might have a few cards up my sleeve?”

Xue Fenggui nodded slightly, seemingly not embarrassed to admit it. While he was at the Foundation Building Realm, Fang Chen was still nonetheless a sword cultivator. It was best to be cautious. Circling around Fang Chen in the air, he silently assessed Fang Chen’s emotions.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, something grabbed Fang Chen’s feet. The earth had transformed into two hands that tightly held Fang Chen’s ankles. Then, the earth rippled, and two chains formed and twirled around Fang Chen.

Even then, Xue Fenggui still didn’t rest easy. He lightly waved his sleeve, and a sea of fire swept over. If the sea of fire struck them, both Fang Chen and Liu Mu would undoubtedly die.

Boom!

The sea of fire engulfed the two.

Seeing this, Xue Fenggui smiled slightly. However, after a few breaths, he felt that something was amiss. He dispersed the sea of fire and found that there was no one in there. Not a trace could be found of Fang Chen and Liu Mu.

Xue Fenggui frowned. ”Did he control the elements? Is this kid’s comprehension of the elements better than mine?” Just with a glance, he knew that Fang Chen and Liu Mu had to have controlled the elements to escape underground.

He had just used the earth element to control the opponent, but his opponent had been able to easily break free of his entanglement. This indicated that his opponent was more proficient in controlling the elements than he was!

Xue Fenggui’s lips curled slightly. ”You can run, but can you escape?”

Everything within his line of sight collapsed.

Fang Chen had already escaped a hundred feet away with Liu Mu by now, under the earth. But suddenly, he felt the earthen walls around him tremble. He didn’t hesitate and immediately blasted out of the earth and into the air with Liu Mu.

The place where he had just stood had completely sunk onto itself, ten feet deep! The earth hadn’t naturally collapsed, but it was Xue Fenggui who had controlled the elements to continuously compact the earth. If Fang Chen hadn’t come out in time, both of them would have been flattened into meat patties.

”You are a sword cultivator, yet you daren’t draw your sword and face me. The only thought you have on your mind is to flee. I think I might have made a mistake in my judgment; you are no sword cultivator,” said Xue Fenggui as he looked at Fang Chen with a sneer.

”This won’t end well for either of us. Are you sure you want to do this?” asked Fang Chen seriously.

”Won’t end well, you say?” Xue Fenggui’s eyes were rife with mockery. ”If you were at the Foundation Building Realm, I wouldn’t even dare show my face here. But even if you were a sword cultivator, you’re only at the Qi Refining Stage. The gap between Qi Refining and Foundation Building is something your sword alone cannot bridge.” Pausing, he continued, ”If you really have any tricks up your sleeve, now’s the time to use them. Otherwise, you might never get the chance.”

Fang Chen nodded. ”Your wish is my command.”

First move of the Eight Desolation Supreme Sword Scripture!

Fang Chen’s spiritual energy was completely drained in an instant! Before he even had the chance to start recovering it, his blood became the substitute, and Fang Chen’s face began to wither at a rapid pace. Layers and layers of his blood and qi began to decrease rapidly. Fortunately, his spiritual power began to recover in the nick of time, preventing the situation from deteriorating further.

His recovered spiritual power was immediately eaten once more!

Little Sword burst forth with a brilliant light, and like a shooting star, it burst forth toward Xue Fenggui.

Xue Fenggui’s eyes widened in horror. ”This is impossible!” he yelled in fright. How could a sword strike from a Qi Refining Realm sword cultivator have such terrifying power?

He immediately erected a spiritual power shield and directed his flying sword toward the Little Sword, attempting to block the attack. ℯ

Boom!

Xue Fenggui’s flying sword was shattered and his spiritual energy shield broke apart. Little Sword effortlessly pierced through his chest.

Xue Fenggui stared at Fang Chen with wide eyes, unable to utter a word. His body suddenly began to dissipate slowly, like a dying star in the night sky, gradually growing dimmer and dimmer.

Before long, Xue Fenggui completely disappeared. And along with him disappeared the broken bits of his flying sword and the storage ring that was on his hand.

Fang Chen looked pale and weary. Without delay, he sat down to recuperate.

After an hour, Fang Chen’s spiritual energy finally recovered to its peak state, and even a little more than before. However, the qi and blood he had lost couldn’t be replenished in a short time.

This was only the first move. If it were the second move... not only would the spiritual energy be completely drained, but the qi and blood would’ve also been sucked dry, turning one into a skeleton. It would be suicidal of me to use the second move without the proper strength to back it up, reflected Fang Chen, heart quivering.

From now on, unless absolutely necessary, he didn’t want to use even the first move. It would be for the best if he advanced to the Foundation Building Realm and had sufficient spiritual energy before using it again.

Getting up, he checked around to be sure that Xue Fenggui had really died. After that, it hit Fang Chen that both Xue Fenggui’s flying sword as well as his storage ring had both been destroyed by his attack, which he found really regrettable.
