Warhammer Divine Throne

The Jialan Council, as a major Caster organization, naturally has a base in Marinburg.

The Jialan Council’s base in Marinburg is located in the Shield Coin District, which is an emerging major financial district, a place where many financial enterprises and wealthy individuals gather. Unlike the noble tranquility of Amber Avenue, this place is very busy, always bustling with people and various sizes of trade goods, both day and night.

Here, men wear loose shirts, tight pants, and fashionable shoes, while women mostly choose corseted long skirts and fur coats, not forgetting feathered hats.

The weather was getting colder, and as a result, pedestrians hurried faster, rushing back and forth, with the screech of wheels and voices haggling filling the air, making it very noisy.

”Our Jialan has a mansion in Marinburg, responsible for purchasing Magic Ore and various alchemy products, and also sells various Magic products,” Teresa walked beside Laine. The female sorcerer’s current outfit was a white fox fur coat, wool sweater, and tight-fitting pants paired with high-heeled boots, a style she generally liked to wear when going out.

A two-story mansion appeared before the two of them, and at the door, a witch was arguing incessantly with a merchant.

”Your batch of goods obviously has issues, sir? You cannot get so much.” The witch wore a silk aristocratic striped long dress, her black-brown long curls were wrapped with a white ribbon, and a white bow was tied by her ear. Her movements were perfect and filled with grace. Moreover, following the slight movements of her master’s fingers, delicate sparks flickered in the air from her fingertips.

The witch had an impressive figure, standing taller than Teresa, nearly 1.75 meters. The silk long dress fully displayed her physique for everyone to see. Compared to Teresa’s phoenix-like eyes and cold beauty, the witch’s appearance was more sweet, with beautiful almond-shaped eyes and a petite nose. Blue sapphire earrings and a diamond necklace adorned her beauty. The long dress reached the middle of her calves, and her slender feet wrapped in black stockings stepped on fiery red high heels embedded with rhinestones.

The merchant argued with reason under the witch’s pressure: ”Madam Witch, in order to help transport these goods, we encountered Green Skin bandits. We went through life and death to protect these goods, and we lost three young men!”

”Yes, maybe it was very difficult for you, but you understand the risks of this trade route better than I do. Look, the contract states, intact, full payment, if there’s any loss, the price is discounted proportionally. I’m just following the contract. Please have some contractual spirit! Okay? Sir?!” The sweet female voice was rather indifferent, and the witch’s words left the merchant unable to retort, ultimately having to sell the goods to the witch at a 10% discount, at 90% of the original price.

After the delivery, the merchant left, cursing, as he passed by Laine and Teresa: ”Damn! I just hate doing business with Jialan’s women.”

Laine couldn’t help but find it amusing.

This was machismo at work, as if the merchant wouldn’t feel so humiliated if the other person were a Wizard from the Wizard Alliance. Sometimes, men were just like this.

But both Laine and Teresa recognized who the witch was.

”Vero~” As soon as Laine started to speak, the witch with black-brown long hair turned her head at a blazing speed. A dazzling sphere of light was burning in her hand. With her movement, a Fireball the size of a washbasin flew directly towards Laine.

Fourth Ring Magic, Fireball Technique!

The people around were stunned by the woman’s action. Merchants and citizens fled in panic, and many Professionals instinctively drew their weapons.

”Veronica!!!” Teresa was about to raise her Magic Staff, but Laine gestured for her to stand down. The man said nothing, and simply raised his right hand forward: ”Ah~ You always never greet properly!”

The Fireball Technique was directly caught by the man’s right hand, and it did not explode as expected. The entire fireball was held by Laine in his hand like a sandbag, then he turned his right hand and squeezed, completely crushing the Fireball Technique in front of everyone’s surprised eyes, leaving only strands of black smoke in the air.

He was now completely different in strength compared to when he was in Nord.

”Hmm~ This is the hero I know who repelled the Barbarians single-handedly.” The witch, seeing Laine was able to catch the Fireball Technique barehanded, immediately dispelled the Magic Power surrounding her and walked up with a joyful face: ”Oh~ Laine, long time no see, I missed you.”

After speaking, Veronica threw herself directly into Laine’s arms, wrapping her hands around his neck and planting a kiss on his face, playfully saying, ”Don’t rush, we have plenty of time next.”

”Ah, you’re always like this.” Laine was smiling, his hands not stopping as he reached out to embrace the witch’s slender waist before letting her go: ”When did you arrive?”

”Three days ago,” Veronica leaned on Laine, not standing up: ”Come on, I’ll take you shopping~ Let’s see what we can buy? Also, I can’t wait to eat the dinner you cook.”

Finishing her words, the woman pulled Laine wanting to leave.

”Veronica!!! What do you mean by this?!” Seeing the apparent intimate relationship between the witch and Laine, the female sorcerer exploded. Teresa stood in front of this couple with a terrible expression, pointing her purple Magic Staff at Veronica’s face: ”You’d better give me an explanation, Veronica. Do you think I don’t exist?”
