Warhammer Divine Throne

Just trying to see clearly who the other person was made the Great Alchemist’s eyes and soul tremble uncontrollably. Gailte, not wanting to blind his eyes, could only recognize the person through the reflection on his golden robe.

The newcomer was dressed in a giant full plate armor of gold. Each pattern and engraving on it made Gailte feel profoundly desecrated—these golden patterns and the double-headed eagle emblem were reserved only for the Prince-Elector and the Emperor. The statue of a falcon on the right shoulder of the golden armor overlooked the living beings, and the red bottom with white fur cloak showed the newcomer’s extraordinary nobility. The black hair was as smooth as silk, and the man’s face held supreme authority and endless indifference.

Gailte knew he had encountered an unbeatable opponent, but the other didn’t seem like a creation of Chaos—no creation of Chaos could be so sacred and full of majesty, so he attempted to communicate: ”I mean no harm in disturbing your rest, Your Excellency, I am a wizard from the Imperial Royal Wizard Academy, here to investigate the traces of Chaos. We have a mutual enemy...”

”Human?” The newcomer merely glanced at him, and Gailte was submerged in boundless power. All his secrets were laid bare under the search of the black-haired man, from his birth until just before entering this basement, all of Gailte’s ideals and life goals were exposed in the newcomer’s eyes.

”An Alchemist Mage longing for knowledge, possessing an affinity with the magic power of the world’s essence... yet full of devotion to humanity.” The newcomer finally relaxed his oppressive force, leaving the Great Alchemist slumped on the ground.

”Loyalty is the foundation of all. I perceive that your ultimate goal is for the future of humanity, which is commendable...” On the newcomer’s face was only endless coldness and seriousness, but his voice continued to echo in Gailte’s mind: ”I can help you restore your ruined appearance, and I can teach you more magic knowledge.”

”So... what will be the price I have to pay?” Gailte sensed the newcomer’s strength, but the Emperor’s wizard still held onto his bottom line—loyalty to humanity.

”Continue your loyalty to humanity and the Empire!”

With that, before Gailte, a door to a new world was opened...

———— On the surging sea ————

The salty smell of the sea and the sound of waves filled the cabin of the passenger ship. Laine awoke to find himself lying on a soft bed in the best room of the ship. The cabin was carpeted, well-furnished, and all facilities were nailed down by the captain.

Opening a small window, the outside was already bright. Laine discovered he was dressed in a fresh white nightgown, the light flickered, a soft mattress, and a thick quilt with a faint body fragrance.

Laine sat up, vaguely recalling the previous night’s celebration where Count Albert opened his wine cellar. Even Laine was tipsy, yet he remembered his task to pursue the Fallen Hunter, so he declined the Count’s arrangements and took the passenger ship overnight. Before leaving, Count Albert handed three deity gold coins to him, along with gifting his heirloom to Laine.

The pinnacle of Dwarf craftsmanship—Demon-Extinguishing Golden Flame, a rune fire cannon.

The Count himself was not strong enough to withstand the overpowering recoil of this fire cannon, so the old heirloom had to be shelved. Laine, however, had no such problem; he was strong enough.

”A rune shotgun, paired with mercury bullets, its power might exceed my imagination.” Laine took out the fire cannon, carefully examining the runes on it, feeling the power within.

”Starting your day by looking at weapons?” A cool female voice came from the other side of the room: ”No rush, there’s plenty of time; you can rest more comfortably.”

Teresa wore a silk lily floral waist dress, her black hair draped down without any decoration, a diamond necklace, and sapphire earrings highlighting the woman’s stunning beauty. Seeing Laine awake, the female sorcerer stood up, sat at the man’s bedside, and reached out her small hand to hold his large hand proactively: ”Feeling better?”

The shimmering hair brushed across Laine’s hand, tickling him, but he still held her small hand: ”I’m fine now, I recover quickly.”

”…When you went up to duel that barbarian, you really scared me. You shouldn’t have done that; there’s no need to fight to such an extent for the safety of a city.” Teresa placed Laine’s hand on her long legs. Only then did Laine notice the sorceress’s dress was a bit short, allowing him to see her long legs covered in black stockings entirely.

”At the time, there was no other choice; I couldn’t leave a mess and escape alone. First of all, it would greatly damage my reputation, and secondly, it was already the only way to turn the tide.” Laine gently shook his head.

”Perhaps.” Teresa didn’t answer directly. Feeling the warmth from the man’s hand, her face reddened. When Laine turned his gaze to meet hers, she instinctively looked away, stood up, and sat on a nearby bench: ”In any case, we need five days to reach Marinburg.”

”Almost.” Laine didn’t want to continue the topic, so he focused on the sorceress’s beautiful long legs.

Today Teresa was wearing a pair of purple heeled shoes. Seeing the man’s gaze drifting around her body, she was quite pleased: ”Do you like it?”
