The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1699: Chapter 691: Best Friends

In the bathroom, Zhou Wang, satisfied, was carefully tidying up his attire.

Compared to Qu Peining, he had a much simpler routine—just a thorough hand wash and... brushing his teeth, transforming back into a clean and tidy young man.

At this point, thirty minutes had passed.

Zhou Wang wiped his hands with a facial towel, then glanced at Qu Peining, who was still leaning against the toilet, dazed.

”Is it that serious? It’s been ten minutes and you’re not over it yet...”

This remark was something Zhou Wang could only mutter to himself, considering he was also a beneficiary.

Outwardly, Zhou Wang displayed gentleness and patience. After tidying up his clothes, he picked up a piece of Qu Peining’s clothing from the floor, squatted down, clasped her slender ankle, ready to help her get dressed.

Qu Peining, who had been motionless, trembled at Zhou Wang’s touch, as if waking up from a short-term amnesia.

”You...move away, don’t touch me!”

Qu Peining’s face suddenly changed as if she had seen a demon, curling up while shouting sharply.

Only... her disheveled appearance at the moment lacked any real intimidation.

”Ahem, it’s all over. I’m just helping you put on your clothes, don’t overreact. Come on, be good, stretch out your leg.”

Zhou Wang gently coaxed.

It’s over?

What’s over...

Initially bewildered, Qu Peining’s emotions subsided, and scenes from earlier flashed back, reminding her of what had happened.

Her expression suddenly transformed into one of utter shame and indignation.

How could he be like this?

He would eat anything, dare to eat anything!

It wouldn’t have mattered if he just ate, but he forced her to eat too!

Thinking of this, Qu Peining felt the urge to retch.

Back then, Qu Peining felt weak and was in a buzzing state, unable to refuse any of Zhou Wang’s manipulations. Afterwards, she felt as if she had returned to that night in Peng City.

Except this time, Jiang Mubai’s gaze wasn’t there; it became a solo act between her and Zhou Wang.

Perhaps... this was subconsciously the reason she foolishly agreed?

No, no, it’s unrelated. Zhou Wang naturally possessed some sort of enchanting ability, which rendered Qu Peining unable to refuse when the moment brewed.

Looking back, Zhou Wang’s self-assured voice seemed to echo in her ears again:

”You can’t just do that and then disregard my well-being, can you?”

Zhou Wang probably meant a mysterious Chinese character starting with ’S,’ but Qu Peining felt too ashamed to utter such filthy words, so she automatically filtered them out.

Yes, she admitted she didn’t firmly refuse, but she hadn’t agreed either... Yet this bastard Zhou Wang took her silence as consent.

Last time, despite everything, at least there was the anesthesia of alcohol, but this time Qu Peining was entirely in a sober state.

Although she wasn’t in the right state back then, after all, she was an inexperienced girl, how could she resist Zhou Wang’s eloquence?

But regardless... this time she felt she couldn’t clear her name even if she jumped into the Yellow River.

”I refuse!”

Growing angrier, Qu Peining began to rebel.

The manifestation was her refusal to cooperate with Zhou Wang, leading them to another phase of physical scuffle.

Zhou Wang remained patient for a while, constantly reminding himself to be a gentleman of principle and demeanor, being gracious after the fact.

But, honestly, he didn’t expect that Qu Peining, who probably never rebelled in her life, vented all her little tempers on him, yet... when serious, Zhou Wang found himself at a physical disadvantage.

Consequently, Zhou Wang kept getting thwarted, with bruises forming on his body after some gritting of teeth.

Zhou Wang had initially intended to leave her some room for retreat, but with the situation as it was, he decided not to spare her any more face.

”Do you know how much time has passed since I carried you into the bathroom?”

Zhou Wang suddenly calmed down.

Qu Peining was hugging her knees, wary of Zhou Wang’s next move, but paused and looked at him, puzzled by his abrupt question.

”Including the time to clean up, it’s been forty-five minutes.”

Zhou Wang checked his Richard Mille wristwatch, noticing a layer of mist on it, quickly sniffed it out for any unusual smell, and relaxed upon finding none, then leisurely continued:

”As far as I know, senior usually naps only for about twenty to thirty minutes.”

Upon hearing this, Qu Peining’s face began to pale.

”Plus, you made such a big fuss just now. Uh, I reminded you, but you seemed to have forgotten to cover your mouth, so... she probably heard everything.”

Qu Peining’s mind finally sank back into a buzzing state.

Jiang Mo heard?

So... she knows everything?

While Qu Peining was in a state of numb panic, Zhou Wang, anticipating this, quickly picked up the cotton cloth and dressed Qu Peining swiftly.

This time, Qu Peining did not resist, becoming like a puppet on strings, allowing Zhou Wang to dress her piece by piece. The process became smooth; when Zhou Wang asked her to lift her leg, she lifted it, when asked to raise her hand, she raised it.

After buttoning her shirt, seeing her still dazed, Zhou Wang wondered if maybe he was going a bit too far.
