The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1656: Chapter 670: Stockholm

Zhou Wang was half-asleep when the ringing of a phone woke him up.

”Hello?”

”Boss, um, just wanted to check if you’ll be going back to your room to sleep...”

Xu Wenqian’s small, questioning voice came from the other end of the phone.

”I don’t...”

Zhou Wang initially wanted to say ”I’m not going back,” but his hand reflexively reached out and found nothing, which perhaps reminded him of something, so he changed his tune.

”I want to go back to the room, um... what time is it now?”

Zhou Wang rubbed his temples, feeling that most of the alcohol had faded away.

”It’s already three thirty in the morning... Sura and I have personally sent away the important guests, so you don’t need to worry, um... Boss, I’ll take a rest first, you should also take care of your health and practice moderation when necessary.”

Zhou Wang sensed a hint of peculiarity in Xu Wenqian’s tone.

Not to mention that according to Xu Wenqian’s habits, unless he gave prior instructions, she would mostly wait for him to return to the room before going to rest herself.

Recalling Xu Wenqian’s mention of ”moderation,” Zhou Wang naturally thought she had guessed about him getting involved with Miss Di, subtly reminding him.

Tsk tsk, even the assistant is showing her jealousy...

”I know, if there’s nothing important tomorrow, I’ll spend some time with you.”

Zhou Wang wasn’t particularly embarrassed, just spoke gently, and then hung up the phone.

Memory fragments began to awaken along with consciousness, and Zhou Wang suddenly sat up, looking around, only to find the room was empty except for him, and...

A bed with large suspicious water stains and various scattered fabrics.

”Damn, I must be crazy!”

Scenes flashed through Zhou Wang’s mind like a movie.

Resistant Miss Di.

Embarrassed Miss Di.

Immersed Miss Di.

Dutiful Miss Di...

However, the reason Zhou Wang claimed he was crazy wasn’t due to regret for coaxing Miss Di into the attic today. He thought even if he hadn’t had too much to drink, he would have likely made the same choice, just with a different approach.

Maybe not using the clumsy excuse of ”adventure”... Of course, if a woman is willing to be tricked, even if you say your cat can do backflips, she’ll eagerly ask, ”Really? Really?”

If she doesn’t want to be tricked, even if you genuinely just want to drop her off home, she’ll opt for ”Didi Taxi.”

Zhou Wang’s real regret was about how he ”upset” Miss Di enough to leave.

Initially, after some immersive interaction using tools, although Miss Di was exceedingly shy, unable to keep her eyes open to make eye contact the whole time, Zhou Wang could strongly feel how their relationship skyrocketed in warmth, like a rocket’s ascent —

Suppose you crudely divide relationships into stages, Miss Di was not only willing to open her legs, even her lips... cough cough.

It’s a pity that Zhou Wang, in his greediness, only thought Miss Di looked as beautiful as a painting at that moment and ended up doing something outrageous.

He opened his phone, ”click,” and took a picture.

Taking the picture was one thing, but Zhou Wang, lost in the moment, forgot to turn off the sound and the flash.

Miss Di was only wearing a white silk blindfold, naturally very sensitive to such changes in light; Zhou Wang’s action to her was nothing short of a thunderbolt, instantly waking her from a ”beautiful dream.”

Critically, Zhou Wang couldn’t argue, and this time Miss Di wouldn’t trust his ”sweet talk” anymore.

Ordinarily, even non-famous individuals would adamantly oppose such actions, let alone someone like Miss Di, an insider who with her heightened sensitivity to such matters. Her sensitivity must be multiplied by 10.

Though she did not continue to erupt under Zhou Wang’s sincere apologies, the atmosphere they’d painstakingly crafted dissipated entirely, and Miss Di simply left the scene. Not landing two slaps on Zhou Wang was already an indication she still had some basic trust in him.

Luckily, Zhou Wang was no nobody, or Miss Di might have suspected he harbored ulterior motives...

In short, at the end of the story, Zhou Wang was left alone in the attic, drowning in alcohol-induced sleepiness once again.

Looking back now, Zhou Wang didn’t know if he had lost his mind.

He was never the type to do such things.

”Ah, both you and I are just like Brother Chen Xi.”

Zhou Wang sighed, lighting a cigarette while scrolling through his phone’s gallery... Naturally, he deleted the picture on the spot to apologize, but it remained in the ”Recycle Bin.”

This whole mess.

Zhou Wang’s finger lingered over the ”Delete” button for a long time, ultimately unable to bring himself to delete it.

Mainly because this version of Miss Di was really damn beautiful.

Moreover, it was his personal treasure, a perspective others likely couldn’t capture ever again, making it highly commemorative.

Ultimately, Zhou Wang decided to consider this matter tomorrow and meanwhile think about how to win back Miss Di’s favor...

If he was to be completely insincere, the current situation wasn’t bad; he’d gotten the person without further responsibility.

But Zhou Wang wasn’t genuinely a cad, so he had to plan for the aftermath.

Once the cigarette was finished, Zhou Wang felt the alcohol had mostly left his system.

Ever since he received ”Solakar’s Blessing” long ago, Zhou Wang’s body functions have been at peak status, his metabolism possibly even more vigorous than when he was eighteen, a feat reflected in times like this, showcasing his robust constitution.
