The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1668: Chapter 676: Birthday (Part 2)

”Sister Lin Ran, is it because Brother spent a lot of money at their store that Hermes sent him a birthday gift?”

Linlin asked curiously.

Having stayed in the Magic City for a while, Zhao Yu, due to limited contact with the outside world, still only has a superficial understanding of so-called ”luxury brands.” However, Linlin, being influenced by her classmates and consciously educated by her ”sister at home,” already has a basic understanding of common luxury brands.

”Yes and no.”

Lin Ran shook her head and patiently explained, ”For any luxury brand, the amount you spend is just a threshold. Of course, theoretically speaking, the more you spend, the higher your weight on the brand’s internal customer list, and the more special privileges you will be open to, which are what we often refer to as VIP, VIC, etc.”

”But this isn’t absolute. Apart from those who need to spend money to maintain special treatment, there’s another category of people. Even if they barely spend money on the corresponding brand, even if their annual expenditure is minimal, the brand side still considers these customers as top priority.”

”To put it simply, ordinary people need to spend money to please the brand, but for these people, it’s often the other way around, where the brands are the ones pleasing them.”

”Why is that?”

Linlin blinked her big eyes and asked, ”If customers don’t spend, why would the brand still want to please them?”

”There could be many reasons: maintaining the brand’s tone, the needs of brand development, leveraging celebrity endorsement effects, etc. The bustling world is all about profit, and these customers surely possess some value that the brand considers important or hold a certain position that could threaten them, hence the efforts to please.” Lin Ran laughed, ”For example, some country’s royal family. If an entire brand can become designated for this royal family, it naturally sets itself apart from other brands, right?”

”So brother... is he also a royal noble?”

Linlin had already caught the underlying meaning of Lin Ran’s words and suddenly asked timidly.

Lin Ran laughed, just about to shake her head in denial, but somehow she was stuck.

...Uh, objectively speaking, with Zhou Wang’s always impressive flair wherever he goes, having never seen him bow to anyone, who knows what the real background of the boss is?

So Lin Ran dared not speak carelessly, only touched Linlin’s head and ambiguously said, ”All you need to know is that the boss is the kind of big shot that these luxury brands feel the need to court, so these gifts... don’t require any money.”

”Like freebies?”

Zhao Yu, listening and confused on the side, finally got a chance to chime in.

Lin Ran struggled to hold back her laughter but, hoping Zhao Yu wouldn’t make any comedic mistakes, patiently said, ”Yes, they’re freebies, but not like those from ordinary stores with discounts and promotions. These freebies are still very expensive...”

”Scarves and wallets might just be tens of thousands, simply because they’re handmade, the actual price might be higher, but these two customized 18K gold watches, their real price should exceed two hundred thousand.”

Every gift delivered, in the process of recording, Yun Rou and Yun Lan also needed to make a rough estimate of the approximate value, then record them all together.

This is so Zhou Wang can clearly see when checking, then make a decision on these gifts... After all, besides those with signatures, some gifts with ”unknown origins” might appear, which might need to be returned later.

Upon hearing that the contents of the slender rectangular box were worth hundreds of thousands, Zhao Yu was instantly startled.

Seeing her daughter still curiously holding the box and looking at it, she almost couldn’t resist wanting Linlin to quickly put the box down to avoid accidentally breaking the contents.

But having stayed in Zhou Wang’s mansion for some time now, Zhao Yu had long realized that Zhou Wang’s wealth far exceeded her imagination, so she repeatedly held herself back until Linlin put the gift box back in its place before she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, the following process was destined to keep Zhao Yu on edge.

Because as Lin Ran continued with her introductions, nothing Linlin touched was less than a five-figure value...

”The LV jewelry hard case...is a type of travel case, but it’s different from traditional ones, designed specifically for holding jewelry. The manager of this brand even communicated with me in advance, wanting a family crest of the boss to engrave on the case, but it seems the boss hasn’t designed anything like that, so just a name was engraved.”

”A high-performance steering wheel from Mercedes-Benz... I never imagined someone would gift a steering wheel.”

Lin Ran introduced while making a tongue-in-cheek commentary.

”This gift is also special, a ’ticket’ from a General Aviation Company gifted to the boss, supposedly allowing him to experience a space flight. However, it’s abroad, and the boss might not dare to go, as it involves entering space...”

”A pocket watch...Gifted by Patek Philippe, the value isn’t easy to say for now, probably needs the boss to assess.”

”And this, custom-made leather shoes from Brioni... This brand is the least original, always gifting clothes and shoes.”

”Uh, Sister Ran, is there a possibility that their main business is actually making clothes?”

With her butt sticking out, carefully moving a gift box, Yun Lan couldn’t help but chime in.
