Chapter 175: Chapter 129 Mr. Zhou’s Crisis of Conscience_4

“First, let’s talk about the assets of the club, just give a rough overview.”

For Zhou Wang, since Xu Wenqian had already handled this part of the work, he didn’t need to go through that thick revenue report, which saved him a lot of trouble.

“Mr. Zhou, as it stands, after calculating against market trends, the net assets of the club are about 120 million, but there’s still an outstanding payment to the renovation contractor of around 22 million…”

Listening to Xu Wenqian’s report, Zhou Wang understood the situation.

With this offset, the club’s asset value was just around 100 million, perfectly fitting the limit on the [Industry Acquisition Card].

“…I have compiled the accounts for the past ten years. Currently, the club’s average monthly profit ranges from five hundred to six hundred thousand, a noticeable decline compared to previous years.”

Half a million to six hundred thousand a month?

Zhou Wang didn’t think it was a lot or too little, but it did provide him with another stable source of income.

However, in principle, this money still needed to remain in the club’s accounts, as future operations would require some funds to sustain.

“And then the most important thing is this, the membership list and basic information of all the club members. Only Manager He and you have access to view it, so I haven’t opened it yet.”

After reporting on the revenue situation, Xu Wenqian placed a black folder on the table.

Zhou Wang’s gaze sharpened, knowing that in a sense, this also represented the club’s intangible assets, as this folder symbolized a high-end network across various industries…

“Mr. Zhou, as the new owner of this club, you generally need to contact and entertain each of the members on this list…”

Hearing Xu Wenqian’s suggestion, Zhou Wang couldn’t help but feel a headache.

There were at least hundreds of names on the list; he would rather be killed than handle this himself.

He needed the assets but didn’t want to manage these matters personally. It would be best to have someone represent him, and only appear himself when dealing with some very important clients.

Without a suitable candidate for now, this matter had to be shelved for the time being.

Once he grasped the basic situation of the club, Zhou Wang relaxed, while Xu Wenqian continued earnestly making suggestions:

“Mr. Zhou, should we hire a professional accounting firm to re-audit these items? After all, I’m not professional enough…”

“Let’s talk about it later, take a break.”

Zhou Wang gestured with a wave, indicating for Xu Wenqian to sit down as well.

Even though Xu Wenqian obediently sat down, she continued flipping through the revenue reports, her pretty face occasionally showing a contemplative expression, clearly still engrossed in the work atmosphere…

Seeing this, Zhou Wang sighed for the Nth time that day.

With an assistant this diligent, you really force me to stray from the path of a capitalist…

Forget it, you can have it all, it’s all yours!

Originally, Zhou Wang intended to win over his little assistant gradually through gifts, but at this moment, he had a change of heart, deciding to hell with workplace rules and mind games since he had the support of a system.

He was just going to make himself happy…

So Zhou Wang magically produced a gift box and placed it on Xu Wenqian’s smooth, black-silk-clad thighs.

“For you.”

Meeting Xu Wenqian’s puzzled gaze, Zhou Wang said.

When Xu Wenqian saw the Cartier logo, her breath caught; once she opened it and saw the blue balloon-pink dial watch inside, she suddenly found her mental defenses shattered…

Though she wasn’t familiar with luxury goods, as a renowned Cartier women’s watch, she vaguely knew that this watch had to be at least forty to fifty thousand…

“Mr. Zhou, this…”

Xu Wenqian’s mind finally shifted from work, staring blankly at Zhou Wang, somewhat at a loss, “It’s too expensive, it’s just my first day at work, this, this isn’t appropriate…”

“Then don’t associate this gift with work, consider it something I’m giving you in another capacity.”

Zhou Wang had anticipated her refusal and replied casually.

“Another capacity?”

Xu Wenqian paused, then, as if thinking of something, her breath quickened, and with a slightly trembling voice, she asked, “Wh… What capacity?”

Zhou Wang swore to the sky that he, a gentleman, hadn’t meant it that way initially.

But Xu Wenqian’s trembling tone and timid eyes at this moment indeed came off as very teasing!

Maybe she didn’t realize it herself, but in Zhou Wang’s view, she was effortlessly enticing.

They say a beautiful woman is trouble; at this moment, Xu Wenqian was indeed trouble.

Zhou Wang’s gaze deepened; he leaned closer to Xu Wenqian and whispered softly by her ear, “What do you think?”

“I… I don’t know.”

Xu Wenqian’s eyes turned misty.

“Then of course, you’re my exclusive XX.”

“Ah!”

Xu Wenqian let out a gasp, her neck flushed with embarrassment, but her body, very honestly, fell into Zhou Wang’s embrace.
