Chapter 157 -124: Picking Up Ten Million for Nothing_2

As for Xu Wenqian herself, she didn’t feel that having a one-night stand with Zhou Wang would change anything.

Deep down, Xu Wenqian was still the kind of girl who held traditional views, always feeling that at least there should be feelings involved to be called “lovers,” right?

Last night should have just been a beautiful accident, and perhaps it wouldn’t happen again…

What’s more, now that Zhou Wang was her boss, theoretically, it would not be appropriate to have any other messy entanglements.

Xu Wenqian knew the workplace rules; so many companies forbid office romances for a reason.

But, thinking of that overwhelming pleasure, Xu Wenqian couldn’t help but feel a tinge of regret.

Although it was unbearable to look back on, she couldn’t deny that it was the only experience in her life that she could describe as “unforgettable.” Deep in her heart, there was even a bold and unspeakable thought—

If only she could have it recorded, she could secretly reminisce about it later.

Zhou Wang’s physique was much better than she had imagined. When clothed, you wouldn’t know he had such beautiful abs.

“What are you thinking about so deeply?”

Zhou Wang, as he spoke, suddenly found that Xu Wenqian seemed a bit distracted, with her eyes wandering, and he couldn’t help but wave a hand in front of her.

“Ah, sorry, Mr. Zhou, I…”

Xu Wenqian hurriedly tried to stand up, a bit flustered.

“Don’t be nervous. You may be an assistant for someone for the first time, but I’m also a boss for the first time, so we can progress together.”

Zhou Wang held her hand and let her sit back down, “When no one’s around, you can just call me by my name. By the way, do you have any other nicknames? For some reason, calling you ‘Wenqian’ always feels a bit strange.”

“Um… generally, close friends call me Qianqian, that’s also my small name.”

Xu Wenqian glanced at Zhou Wang’s hand covering her smooth hand. Even though they’d already had 360-degree contact, she inexplicably still felt a bit shy.

But seeing Zhou Wang’s usual expression, she was too embarrassed to show any oddity.

“Then I’ll call you that.”

Zhou Wang nodded, “Qianqian, there’s still one last thing I need you to do for now.”

“Mr. Zhou, please tell me.”

Xu Wenqian immediately straightened her back. Even though Zhou Wang had said the address could be casual in private, she clearly was used to it.

“Help me hire a driver. I’ll give you a contact in a bit, try reaching out, and if this person is unwilling, then help me recruit a new one, making sure their quality and ability meet the standards.”

Zhou Wang, after thinking it over, decided the driver position could be hired first.

Three months might seem long, but it’s actually tight, especially when the professional talent needed isn’t just one or two people…

A “qualified” driver is relatively easier to find, so better push the task’s progress a bit.

While Spring Eye’s property could provide a temporary driver if he had the need, it certainly wouldn’t be as comfortable as using a dedicated one.

His current preference was Mr. Yang, who had driven for him at Wanda, the interaction felt quite comfortable, but the other person might not be willing to resign.

“What about salary?”

Xu Wenqian further asked.

“Whatever his previous income was, the principle can be to double it, buy six insurances and two funds, include a year-end bonus, sign a labor contract, and the benefits should be entirely the same as regular employees, with other perks granted upon joining.”

Zhou Wang said without hesitation.

“Ah?”

Xu Wenqian’s small mouth opened in surprise.

What kind of divine treatment was this!

Suddenly, Xu Wenqian thought of something and blinked her eyes, “You… are looking for a female driver?”

“Hmm?”

Zhou Wang first felt strange, then realized Xu Wenqian misunderstood, his brow raised as he playfully struck Xu Wenqian.

“What kind of person do you think I am?”

Zhou Wang said in an annoyed tone, “The gender doesn’t matter, but the ability has to match the treatment, meaning if the person is outstanding enough, any salary can be discussed.”

Although, according to the market, maybe five or six thousand could find a qualified driver, but since the system covered it, Zhou Wang didn’t care if it disrupted the market.

“Oh, I understand.”

Xu Wenqian moved her rosy lips; she wanted to argue back to Zhou Wang…

Who disciplines subordinates by spanking? And your hand hasn’t moved either!

Yet most of her concern was still on the job, and the salary not being capped meant Zhou Wang’s demands would be high; she had to think more carefully.

“That’s all for now.”

Zhou Wang thought for a moment, ensuring nothing was left out, then asked, “By the way, the place you’re living at now is rented, right?”

“Yes, but I’m already looking for a new house… don’t worry, I’m trying to find one nearby.”

Xu Wenqian nodded and added.

Becoming an assistant meant having to be on call all day, a basic awareness Xu Wenqian still had.

And the old neighborhood she previously rented was actually a place she shared with Cheng Zhe, although Cheng Zhe was rarely there, continuing to live there after breaking up would just make Xu Wenqian feel disgusted.

“Uh, don’t bother, you can move here directly, pick any vacant room you like.”

Zhou Wang casually offered.

The 1860 square meter house, designed initially considering the personnel configuration of a wealthy family, included six main guest bedrooms, and all nanny rooms, driver rooms, and servant rooms were fully available. While the space wasn’t as big as the main guest bedrooms, the comfort level of staying there was equally impeccable.
