Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Amid the thunderous rumble, the skill star core reached its ultimate transformation.

Antares stared fixedly at the little black dot, and Lin Moyu did the same, though his attention soon shifted elsewhere.

The little black dot was far too mysterious, existing on a level beyond his current comprehension.

Rather than wasting effort trying to comprehend it, Lin Moyu focused on the changes within his soul.

As the soul force surged back, the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal refined and purified it.

His soul rank rose once again, and his soul world expanded accordingly.

A new star was born, making the soul world feel more vibrant.

Lin Moyu could not sense the aura of the law of undeath from this star.

Moreover, this star seemed different. It was self-contained, keeping a noticeable distance from the other stars.

This wasn’t something orchestrated by Lin Moyu. It occurred naturally.

As more stars appeared, the soul world expanded, the distances between the stars constantly increasing.

The stars drifted further and further apart.

The soul world was no longer crowded, instead feeling increasingly vast and empty.

It was beginning to resemble a true starry sky.

This new star gave Lin Moyu a peculiar feeling.

It seemed detached from the other law arts, yet its connection to his soul was incredibly deep.

In addition to the soul, it also had a connection with his body.

The light it emitted carried a gentle warmth, passing through the soul world and radiating outward.

A thought suddenly struck Lin Moyu, “Is this a passive skill?”

Excitement stirred within him as he quickly checked.

A moment later, a look of joy appeared on his soul-form.

[Elemental Resistance (100% fusion rate): passive law art. The user and their summons are immune to all elemental attacks, and damage from elemental laws is reduced onefold.]

His first passive skill had evolved into a star-grade law art, completely transforming its effects.

Total immunity to elemental attacks, combined with the onefold reduction in damage from elemental laws—Lin Moyu surmised that even in the greater world, such an ability would be considered absurdly overpowered.

His attributes changed accordingly.

All individual elemental resistances vanished from his attributes; with this passive law art permanently active, they were no longer needed.

Thinking back on the effort he had spent raising those elemental resistances, Lin Moyu couldn’t help but feel it had been a waste.

But who could have predicted that after evolving into a star-grade law art, this passive skill would become so monstrous?

“That idiot said it right—a freak wielding freakish law arts.”

Antares’s voice suddenly rang out, “What did you say?”

Lin Moyu shook his head, “Nothing. I converted a passive law art this time.”

Antares frowned and grunted, “What’s the effect? I’m in a foul mood right now, so don’t push your luck with me.”

“What’s wrong with you?” Lin Moyu asked, puzzled.

Antares replied, “When I was studying the little black dot earlier, I was just about to gain some insight, but it disappeared in an instant.”

Lin Moyu waved it off, “That’s nothing serious. Let me tell you something to cheer you up.”

“Oh? Did your skill turn out badly this time?”

“It’s just average.”

Lin Moyu described the effects of Elemental Resistance.

In response, Antares unleashed a deafening roar that nearly shattered Lin Moyu’s eardrums.

“Keep your voice down! I’m going deaf!” Lin Moyu shouted.

Antares bellowed, “You call that average? Do you have any idea how absurdly powerful that passive law art is?”

Lin Moyu shook his head, “Is it really that formidable? It looks pretty normal to me.”

“Normal my ass! There may be countless laws in the greater world, but over 90% of people comprehend elemental laws.”

“You cut the damage of elemental laws by onefold—how are others supposed to fight you?”

Lin Moyu hadn’t even mentioned that the onefold reduction would be amplified 90-fold by his talent, effectively reducing elemental law damage by 90 times.

Seeing Antares’s extreme reaction, Lin Moyu decided it was best to keep quiet.

Antares shook his massive head, “And… and…”

He sputtered “and” a couple of times, but in the end, nothing else came out.

Gritting his teeth, he finally said, “Anyway, be careful when you reach the greater world. You’re too much of a freak; don’t let others find out, or they’ll grow envious.”

“There are plenty of petty people among the human race. Some might try to pick a fight with you.”

Envy existed in every race. It was a natural emotion. But when paired with a narrow mind, it could drive people to do outrageous things.

From Antares’s words, Lin Moyu had already learned how cruel the greater world could be. Naturally, he would stay cautious.

“Thanks. I’ll be careful.”

Antares snorted, “As long as you understand. You promised to come with me to kill people, so don’t go dying before that.”

“Don’t worry. As long as you, the limp-legged Dragon, are still alive, I’ll be just fine.”

“Don’t call me limp-legged Dragon!”

With a furious roar, Antares struck Lin Moyu, sending him flying tens of thousands of meters away.

Though the blow looked powerful, Antares had controlled his strength perfectly—it carried tremendous force but caused no real harm.

Lin Moyu flew back, “Look at you. Such a big Dragon, yet you can’t even take a joke. You need a broader perspective. You’re the one who said that.”

Antares snorted, “What do you know? If you called any other Dragon ‘limp-legged’ out there, it would spark an irreconcilable feud.”

Lin Moyu hadn’t realized it was that serious. Still, it only proved how strong his bond with Antares truly was.

Smiling, he said, “Got it. I’ll say it less in the future.”

“Not less. You’re not allowed to say it at all.”

“I promise… though I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to keep it.”

…

Antares seriously considered blasting this shameless guy with a breath attack. He was starting to regret ever befriending him.

Back when Lin Moyu barely spoke, he seemed pretty decent. Why had he become so irritating once he became more talkative?

Antares ground his teeth in frustration, “Just scram already.”

Lin Moyu waved, “I’ll be back soon.”

He was heading to the Abyss to slaughter Demons, so his leveling speed wouldn’t be slow.

By his estimate, it would take at most a few days to level up.

Antares knew this as well. “If you’re going to kill, then go. But remember this: once you reach level 86, stop using that leveling method.”

“Even with the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal, there will still be some sequelae.”

Taking the warning seriously, Lin Moyu nodded, “Understood. I’ll keep it in mind.”

Going to the Abyss was different from going to the Dragonkind World; there was no need for Antares to send him.

Taking out the Abyssal Teleportation Stone, he activated it.

…

Lin Moyu entered the Abyss World for the third time, appearing this time at the mouth of a volcano. Green Abyss Fire was burning within.

The Abyss Fire found throughout the Abyss was strange.

It could be either cold or hot—same color, yet two completely different properties.

Some Abyss Demons excelled at manipulating Abyssal Fire, capable of drawing out both properties.

When Abyssal Fire became cold fire, temperatures could drop to -100°C, enough to freeze even God-level beings to death.

But when it turned into hot fire, temperatures soared beyond 10,000°C, capable of reducing God-level beings to ash.

Abyss Fire was the source of power in the Abyss—its very foundation.
