Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Lin Moyu struck straight at the heart of the matter.

The weaker a law was, the more concrete it appeared.

Laws such as the law of wind, the law of water, and the law of fire could be perceived directly in reality, making them the easiest to comprehend.

The law of light and the law of darkness, by contrast, were more abstract, making them harder to grasp.

Although they also belonged to the third tier, the law of light and the law of darkness were slightly more powerful.

Beyond these visible elemental laws, the third tier also included invisible ones, such as the law of dreams and the law of slumber.

At the second tier, laws became completely intangible, forcing one to approach them indirectly to gain even the slightest understanding.

As for first tier laws, they were even more elusive and far more difficult to grasp.

Lin Moyu said, “My teacher seems to have comprehended the law of slaughter.”

Antares replied, “That young fellow who uses a blade? What he’s grasped is the law of murderous aura. If he takes it a step further in the future, he may promote it into the law of slaughter.”

“Laws can be promoted?” Lin Moyu asked, finding the idea quite novel.

For example, the law of lightning he was most familiar with—what could it possibly advance into?

Antares explained, “Take your teacher as an example. His current law of murderous aura has the potential to evolve into the law of slaughter.”

“There’s the one who fights with his fists. He has grasped the law of might, which could eventually advance into the law of power.”

“And the one who uses formations has two possible advancement paths: somatic formation and runic formation.”

Lin Moyu then asked, “What about elemental laws?”

“Elemental laws can advance as well. For example, the law of fire may advance into stellar fire, eternal fire, or imperishable fire.”

“As for the law of lightning you specialize in, it could evolve into stellar-burst lightning, nine-cycle violet lightning, heaven-destroying lightning, and so on.”

“However, I have a piece of advice for you. If you ever have the chance, focus on comprehending the law of time.”

“In front of the law of time, all those miscellaneous laws are nothing but garbage.”

But the law of time was far from easy to comprehend. One only needed to look at Antares to understand that.

Even someone like him had been unable to grasp it. Even if Lin Moyu could succeed, it would take an immense amount of time.

Before reaching that point, he still needed something else to depend on.

“How many laws can a person comprehend?” Lin Moyu asked.

Antares chuckled, “As many as you want. But the more laws you try to comprehend, the harder it becomes.”

“Most people specialize in one or two. Otherwise, you’ll only scratch the surface of everything.”

“In the end, you’ll waste your time, exhaust your lifespan, and achieve nothing.”

Antares spoke like an elder, patiently guiding a junior.

Lin Moyu took the advice to heart, “Do you still want to continue comprehending the law of time? I can keep helping.”

Antares shook his head, “No need. Your law of time is still too weak right now; I won’t be able to gain much from it.”

“When it becomes stronger in the future, you can let me try comprehending it. Besides, this isn’t something that can be done in a day or two. It might take years or even decades. You can’t afford to waste that kind of time right now.”

Lin Moyu indeed couldn’t afford to waste time.

Spending a week or two would be fine, but wasting a decade or more was something he simply could not bear.

Lin Moyu nodded, “In the future, when I have the time and my law grows stronger, I’ll let you study it properly.”

Antares snorted. “Fine. Now you can get lost. Where do you want to go? I’ll send you there.”

Lin Moyu thought for a moment, dense murderous intent bursting from his eyes, “Can you send me to the Dragonkind?”

Antares asked curiously, “Didn’t you reach an agreement with Lilian? You could simply leave the Dragonkind’s affairs to her. Aren’t you planning to continue working together?”

Lin Moyu shook his head, “The cooperation will continue, but I have my own plans.”

“Some things cannot be left to others.”

“I will handle part of it, Lilian will handle another part, and the rest must be left to the human race.”

“The human race must not lose its edge because of this. Nor should the hatred vanish simply because I made a single agreement.”

“To truly end that hatred, the humans must do it themselves—even if it costs blood, even if there are sacrifices.”

“I can guide them in the right direction, but I cannot fight their battles for them.”

“The hatred of the humans has been building for countless years. In the end, it must be settled by their own hands.”

“In the hearts of the humans lies a dream: to march into the Abyss and personally wipe out the Abyssal Demons.”

Lin Moyu spoke at length, every word coming from the depths of his heart.

Antares pondered his words for a long time, unable to fully grasp them.

His way of thinking was simple, far less complex than that of the humans.

Still, if things were truly as Lin Moyu described…

Antares asked, “Have you considered that if you proceed this way, the humans may suffer heavy casualties?”

Lin Moyu nodded, “I know. But some things must be brought to an end by their own hands.”

His tone was firm and resolute. Antares said nothing more.

Though Antares still did not fully understand Lin Moyu’s reasoning, he supported his decision unconditionally.

After all, they were friends.

Lin Moyu had his own considerations.

The hatred between the humans and the Abyssal Demons had grown far too deep.

If one day humanity were suddenly told that the Abyssal Demons and the Dragonkind had fought a great war and destroyed each other…

The humans would suddenly lose their purpose, and that would not be a good thing for the race as a whole.

A blade left idle grew dull. Humanity might lose its edge entirely.

Lin Moyu did not want that to happen. He wanted humanity to retain its sharpness, to continue forging forward, and to move toward a broader horizon.

After learning so much, he understood clearly that the Abyssal Demons and the Dragonkind were nothing special.

They were nothing more than insignificant cannon fodder from fragment worlds.

In the future, humanity might face enemies far more powerful and terrifying.

They could not afford to lose their edge now.

This decision was not made by Lin Moyu alone. It was reached after discussions with Meng Anwen and others.

Meng Anwen shared the same belief: the humans did not fear bloodshed. They had shed plenty of blood over the past 1,000 years, and they would not fear doing so again.

But the human race must never lose its edge.

…

The Dragonkind World was vastly different from the Human World.

The sky here was a dark crimson, and the air was thick with intense fire element, mixed with the pungent smell of sulfur.

Lin Moyu had previously read a few descriptions of the Dragonkind World in the limited records available to him.

The Dragonkind World was divided by elements, each region dominated by a different element.

At the very center of this world stood the Dragon Emperor’s Palace.

At the moment, Lin Moyu was within the fire elemental region. The Dragonkind born here possessed a natural affinity to the fire element.

After entering the Dragonkind World, Lin Moyu did not act immediately. Instead, he began filling the ranks of his undead army.

Since mastering the Summon Bone Dragon skill, his attributes had gained an additional feature: the Dragon lair.

Its function was similar to the summon space and the Lich space—a place to house Bone Dragons.

The Dragon lair currently had a capacity of 1,000, meaning Lin Moyu could summon up to 1,000 Bone Dragons.

Like the skeletons, the Bone Dragons could receive buffs from the Lich Generals, pushing their combat power infinitely close to God-level.

Aside from the Skeletal King, they were currently Lin Moyu’s most powerful summons.

After reaching level 80, not only had Lin Moyu’s attributes increased greatly, but all of his skills had been enhanced as well.

His Comprehensive Amplification talent had reached level 9, granting a 90-fold amplification to most of his skills.

The undead army had grown more powerful.
