My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

241: Advance to [Jade 14]”Let me see.”

Shi Li’s gaze began to sweep over the cards.

During the rest period of the previous round, he had already completed all the prerequisite tasks for the three-star unique cards.

He filtered out all the cards that required post-card-making steps.

”Let’s work on this one first.”

In the end, he chose the [Moonlight Werewolf].

The [Moonlight Werewolf] possesses excellent versatility, allowing it to better adapt to various situations.

Furthermore, he couldn’t guarantee that the materials required by the Wandering System would definitely be available on Blue Star.

However, the points mall could certainly satisfy this need, and the conversion wasn’t expensive.

After all, points are quite easy to obtain now; he estimated that less than 10,000 points would be enough to exchange for all the materials needed to Ascend the cards to four stars.

As for the cubic coins, those were naturally reserved for refreshing.

After selecting the card and purchasing the materials, he got started.

After spending some time and 1 million refresh fees, he completed the card creation task.

A green, Emerald light instantly swept over his entire body, completely eliminating his sense of fatigue.

[Rank]: Emerald 12 → Emerald 13

[Stamina]: 950/950 → 980/980

[Energy]: 950/950 → 980/980

Now let’s look at the [Moonlight Werewolf]’s brand new card face.

[Moonlight Werewolf]

Wandering, 30 Points, 4-Star Attack 30, 100/100, 0/50 → 0/40

[Full Moon - Characteristic]: When the Moonlight Werewolf’s Energy is fully Charged, it can [Transform] (T0)

[Moon Shadow Step - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf can perform 1 [Movement] on the turn it is revealed.

[Moonlight Shuttle - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf’s Movement can cross friendly cards. [Raging Moon - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into the Rage System. [Wise Moon - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into the Wisdom System. [Breaking Moon - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into the Po Shi system. [Chasing Moon - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into the Wind Chasing System. [Listening Moon - Passive]: The Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into the Listening Wind System. Firstly, the Energy cap has changed, going from 40 at one star to 50 at two and three stars, and now it has returned to 40 points.

Although it’s a bit confusing, lowering the transformation threshold is good news.

”This is too insane—”

Although the card attributes gained from this Star Ascension were exactly as Shi Li had anticipated, he Still couldn’t help but exclaim.

There was another very important reason why he chose to Star Ascend the [Moonlight Werewolf].

That is, the benefit of its Star Ascension is too high.

When the main body Star Ascends, the transformed bodies also gain 1 additional attribute.

Plus the four-star Wind Chasing Wolf and Listening Wind Wolf, that’s 4 attributes.

How many new attributes did this wave of Star Ascension add up to?

A full 14 attributes.

This exaggerated number is simply incomparable to the Star Ascension of other cards.

Moreover, in Shi Li’s view, the [Moonlight Werewolf]’s mechanism is actually comparable in strength to that of a five-star card.

Of course, if judging by single-form strength, it is relatively average.

But its strength lies in its versatility; it’s equivalent to a universal cure-all.

Furthermore, it comes with one HP reset, which is also a major advantage of the mechanism.

”Since the mechanism is already so strong, I estimate that its ascension to five stars won’t bring about too many changes.”

Based on the experience of the [Moonlight Werewolf]’s progression so far, Shi Li already had a guess.

He felt that there was a high probability that attributes allowing it to transform into the Wither Faction’s variant cards would appear.

In addition, the four-star [Moonlight Werewolf] also dropped a token card for its Fate Card.

Spending 3 million cubic coins, Shi Li obtained its token card.

[Second Moon Transformation]: Re-grant the [Characteristic] to the Moonlight Werewolf after it Transforms.

”This Fate Card is quite consistent with its usual style.”

Shi Li opened the Simulation Card Table to test it and got the result.

First, one must know that after the [Moonlight Werewolf] transforms, it loses its original [Full Moon - Characteristic], which is the Characteristic that allows transformation.

And this [Second Moon Transformation] allows the transformation [Characteristic] to return to the transformed [Full Moon Werewolf].

One thing to note here is that if the first transformation has already become the Steadfast System.

Then the secondary transformation triggered by its [Second Moon Transformation] requires the Steadfast System’s Energy to be fully Charged.

The same applies to Momentum, Chasing Wind, and Listen to the Wind forms.

Compared to the Wandering System, the Energy of these conventional systems is relatively easier to fully Charge.

As for the Balance System and Rage System, which do not have Energy bars, they can perform a secondary transformation immediately after the Fate Card is used.

Of course, the secondary transformation also resets HP.

Therefore, this Fate Card not only increases the [Moonlight Werewolf]’s tactical mobility but also enhances its damage-soaking capacity.

In situations where the opponent’s burst damage is not too strong, resetting HP twice is an extremely powerful mechanism.

If it is even used as the Ace Card, it is equivalent to having 200 + 200 + 200 HP.

From a certain perspective, this is even more formidable than the [Red Blade Maiden]’s transformation reset.

Because the [Red Blade Maiden]’s HP reset is temporary and must be returned at the end of the turn.

However, the [Moonlight Werewolf]’s reset is permanent—isn’t that an absolute windfall?

Furthermore, using the [Moonlight Werewolf] as the Ace Card has another advantage.

That is, it can be revealed before the opponent’s Ace Card, and then, after the opponent’s Ace Card is revealed, it can perform a targeted transformation based on the actual situation.

Of course, the [Moonlight Werewolf] Ace Card is not invincible.

It Still has two weaknesses.

The first Weakness is that the strength of the transformed [Full Moon Werewolf] is actually not high, and its attributes after transformation are fixed, with no extra attributes to choose from.

Even with the same four attributes, the strength and the synergy between the attributes are inferior to a normal unique four-star character card.

The second Weakness is that the first transformation is difficult to execute.

If he wants to transform later, he cannot use [Moon Shadow Step] and [Moonlight Shuttle] to fully Charge on the turn the card is revealed.

Otherwise, if it fully Charges immediately upon being revealed, it will transform directly, which is equivalent to wasting one transformation opportunity.

This is because the Full Moon transformation is mandatory; it transforms as soon as the Energy is full.

Moreover, if it is revealed first, when the opponent is prepared, they are likely to use some means beforehand to prevent the [Moonlight Werewolf] from Charging.

For example, using [Blockade] or other cards to lock its position, or playing [Quantum Entanglement], and so on.

In short, it has its uses, but it depends on the actual situation.

At this point, Shi Li’s Wandering System Resonance reached 100%.

Officially activating the [Wandering Trial].

However, he only has 1 Wandering card, and it is not entirely pure—it’s equivalent to a ”mixed-blood” Wandering card.

Trying to enter the Trial mode is Still wishful thinking.

Even with two [Top-Tier Wandering Intervention] cards, he wouldn’t be able to gather 9+1.

Having completed the Star Ascension of the [Moonlight Werewolf], he looked at the next card.

”I choose you.”

The second card Shi Li chose was the [Fennec Fox Girl].

This card has a very high appearance rate in his deck, definitely ranking among the top five.

Whether in Cubic Chess or in the current duel modes, it easily secures a spot thanks to its [Characteristic] that increases the number of friendly cards deployed by +1.

Especially in the speed mode of the last round, if it weren’t for the help of the [Fennec Fox Girl], he really wouldn’t have gotten first place.

Perhaps precisely because the [Characteristic] is too powerful, the card creation refresh cost for the [Fennec Fox Girl] was slightly higher than Shi Li had imagined.

3 million, which is 3 times that of the [Moonlight Werewolf].

Although the [Moonlight Werewolf] was refreshed first, the increase in refresh fees for four-star cards is only 10,000 per jump.

The cost multiplying by three Still reflects the difficulty.

Green light swept across his entire body, and Shi Li’s personal panel was strengthened once again.

[Rank]: Emerald 13 → Emerald 14

[Stamina]: 980/980 → 1010/1010

[Energy]: 980/980 → 1010/1010

”Finally, four digits. Things really have changed.”

He felt the changes in his body.

His teacher had previously said that reaching four digits in personal stats would result in a qualitative leap.

Although they only increased by 30 points each, Shi Li could now understand why his teacher had said that.

His current physical condition gave him the feeling of having slightly surpassed humanity.

It wasn’t that his physical fitness had suddenly increased by a massive margin, but rather his control.

Control over his muscles and his mental state.

To give a specific example, he could now control his body to freely defecate. If he wanted to go, he could instantly; if he didn’t want to, he wouldn’t, even if his stomach burst.

This was just one example; there were many other things he could control.

Let’s look at the card face.

Although the refresh cost for the [Fennec Fox Girl] was high, he felt it was worth it based on the card’s attributes.

[Fennec Fox Girl]

Listen to the Wind, 0 Points, 4-Star Attack 0, 100/100, 0/60 → 90

[Stand Anywhere - Characteristic]: The Fennec Fox Girl can be placed in the Ace Row, increasing the number of friendly conventional cards deployed by +1.

[Small Animal - Passive]: The Fennec Fox Girl does not consume a reveal slot when used as a conventional card. [Listen to the Wind Sound - Passive]: The Fennec Fox Girl gains an extra 10 Energy when [Still]. [Enemy Disturbance Scream - 20 Energy]: The Fennec Fox Girl selects 1 target, granting it 20 [Weakness].

[Demonstration Scream - 20 Energy]: The Fennec Fox Girl releases [Dispel] on 1 target, ignoring obstruction. [Soothing Scream - 60 Energy]: The Fennec Fox Girl releases 20 [Healing] to all friendly revealed cards.

[Protective Scream - 60 Energy]: The Fennec Fox Girl releases 20 [Shield] to all friendly revealed cards.

([Weakness]: Reduces the target’s Attack by the corresponding value)

Its ascension to four stars can be described as a comprehensive enhancement.

First, the Energy cap increased by 30 points, which is very important.

Next, [Listen to the Wind Sound] removed its prerequisites and became a permanent passive ability.

Furthermore, two active group buff skills were added.

60 Energy in exchange for a full group buff is very powerful.

One must know that the fellow Listen to the Wind System card, [Fluorescent Vine], only provides 30 [Healing] for 20 Energy.

However, the theoretical value of [Soothing Scream], when his card slots are all full, reaches 240 [Healing] provided by 60 Energy.

Of course, Shi Li knew that 99% of the time, it couldn’t be calculated this way.

Unless the opponent has a full-screen AOE skill, such as the [red dragon beast master]’s [Dragon Flame], or a BOSS’s AOE in PVE.

Otherwise, it is difficult for back-row cards to lose HP collectively.

But even if it only [Heals] 3 external cards, that’s 60 Energy for 60 HP, which is not a loss.

Crucially, it is also a one-time group heal that doesn’t take up too many turns.

Other normal Healing cards would require 3 turns to heal 3 external cards.

Of course, there is another use for it.

That is, pairing the [Fennec Fox Girl] with a uniform set of Rage cards.

They collectively use skills that cause them to lose HP, and she instantly heals them back up.

This scenario is perfectly suited for use in the [Rampage Trial]; it’s an absolute match.

However, since he has already cleared the [Rampage Trial], there is no longer a necessity.

It could, however, be extremely useful in the [Hell Trial].

Unfortunately, even after the [Fennec Fox Girl] ascended to four stars, his Listening Wind System Resonance only reached 110%. He is Still quite far from being able to use it in the [Hell Trial].

”I might as well complete the Fate Card mission too.”

Shi Li’s gaze then turned to the [Fennec Fox Girl].

After ascending to four stars, it dropped a token card for a Fate Card.

Considering the [Fennec Fox Girl]’s high appearance rate, this token card needed to be crafted quickly.

Anyway, he Still had 12 million in hand, so it was impossible not to be able to make it.

So, spending 2 million, Shi Li obtained the Fate Card.

[Understanding in the Wind]: After the Fennec Fox Girl’s Energy is fully Charged, grant her 1 additional skill. ”Oh?”

He had truly never seen a Fate Card of this type before.

He quickly opened the Simulation Card Table to test it.

Under the effect of the [Listen to the Wind Sound] passive, the [Fennec Fox Girl] only needs 3 turns to fully Charge. If this [Understanding in the Wind] is played, it can take effect on Turn 5, the turn when full Charge is achieved.

However, if it is played before full Charge is reached, the effect will be suppressed until full Charge is achieved before taking effect.

Therefore, one advantage of this Fate Card is that it can be played at any time.

Because there is only a 1-card play limit for Fate Cards per turn, given the large number of Fate Cards he now possesses and the ever-changing game situations, the activation mechanism of [Understanding in the Wind] is excellent.

It allows Shi Li to have a bit more lead time.

After practical testing on the Simulation Card Table, he realized he had slightly misunderstood the meaning of [Understanding in the Wind].

When it takes effect, it doesn’t mean allowing the [Fennec Fox Girl] to carry 1 extra skill she already possesses. Instead, it grants her an entirely new skill.

[Wind Irrigation - 0~100% Energy]: The Fennec Fox Girl selects 1 target, restoring 50% of her own consumed Energy to the target. This means that after this Fate Card takes effect, the [Fennec Fox Girl] transforms from a four-star card with 4 attributes into a pseudo-five-star card with 5 attributes.

This is a power bank skill.

Its strength lies in the ability to control the amount of Charge output.

Theoretically, 100% Energy consumption for the [Fennec Fox Girl] is 90 points, which can grant the target 45 points of [Charge]. 45 points of [Charge] is an unimaginably high amount of Energy for many cards; their Energy caps aren’t even 45 points.

Moreover, providing such a high amount of Energy only occupies 1 action turn for the [Fennec Fox Girl].

Since she is a 0 Attack card anyway, occupying an action turn is not considered a waste.

Variant cards like [Withering Dragon], [Black Angel], and [Moonlight Werewolf], which have relatively difficult Energy Recovery, greatly need this skill.

Cards like [Exploding Zombie], which require Energy for major actions, and [hundred mountain vessel] and [cloud sea vessel], which need to combine, are all good friends of [Wind Irrigation].
