My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

230: 【Crimson Trial - Super】Chapter 230: Crimson Trial: Super

Persistence: When you suffer a negative effect, you can trigger Magic Immunity once, lasting 10 seconds with a 60-second cooldown. This is a Characteristic conversion of Demon-Defeating Dark Hunter, very similar to Red Blade Maiden’s Invincibility.

Snail Walk: You can ignore obstacles on flat ground for 10 seconds, with a 60-second cooldown. “Ignore flat ground obstacles?”

Shi Li didn’t expect there to be something even more powerful than Invincibility.

According to his understanding of the ’Old Six’ personality, the most crucial point for a fugitive to escape a hunter is to utilize the terrain.

Because the fugitive’s base Movement speed is slower than the hunter’s, in a pure chase, they will eventually be caught by the hunter.

However, if the fugitive’s terrain traversal efficiency is higher than the hunter’s, such as crossing windows, wooden planks, stone piers, and other obstacles.

For instance, with wooden planks, there’s even a gameplay where fugitives drop planks to temporarily stun hunters while passing through.

Now, the ’ignore obstacles’ of Snail Walk probably means being able to pass directly through walls.

If that’s the case, then it’s truly powerful in this mode.

Anywhere Stand: At the start of the hunt, your starting spawn point will definitely refresh next to a fugitive. “This is also a bit fierce.”

Normally, hunters always spawn at a few fixed locations, at a certain distance from the fugitives.

Otherwise, if the two spawn points were close at the beginning, that unlucky fugitive wouldn’t be able to play.

Of course, all these deductions are Shi Li’s understanding of games like ’Old Six’ personality, and may not be 100% applicable to the current situation.

“But there are 5 opponents, even if I instantly kill one, it doesn’t guarantee victory.”

He continued to look down.

Cowardly Instinct: Every 60 seconds, your current location can be randomly refreshed. “Fleeing Ink’s Characteristic.”

“Isn’t this teleportation? But it relies heavily on luck.”

“I wonder if I might get stuck in a wall and just die.”

“Let’s not consider this one.”

Pain and Joy: Every 2 times you suffer control or negative effects, you gain 10% energy. “Exploding Zombie’s Characteristic, also a Charge type.”

“It seems that in this mode, Charge is very important.”

Breaker: When knocking down a fugitive, there is a 10% chance to directly make them fall to the ground.

“Breaker’s Characteristic, enhancing the means of finishing them off.”

“In ’Old Six’ personality, fugitives have 2 health bars. The first time they are attacked by a hunter, they lose 1 health bar and temporarily gain a Movement speed increase effect. Only when the second health bar is depleted do they enter the Downed state, where they can be arrested and imprisoned by the hunter.”

“I wonder how many 2-health bars fugitives have in this mode.”

Mimic Jelly: You can choose to gain 1 skill from 1 fugitive on the field. “Oh? This is interesting.”

“Fugitive skills are generally divided into several categories: control, acceleration, Recovery, and decryption.”

“Recovery and decryption are definitely useless for hunters, but control and acceleration are very useful.”

“Unlike hunters who only suffer a brief pause when encountering control, once a fugitive is controlled, they might as well wait for death.”

“Acceleration goes without saying; if a hunter gains speed, fugitives can only be filled with dread.”

Red Lotus: If you are controlled or suffer negative effects twice, you gain 1 Dragon Flame hand card.

Dragon Flame: Makes a random area inaccessible to fugitives. “A skill that shrinks the field, this is also quite powerful.”

“It’s just that I don’t know the size of the map and the range of Dragon Flame.”

Full Moon: When energy is fully Charged, you can undergo 1 Transformation.

Transformation: Base speed, attack range, and skill effects are enhanced. “Interesting, but I don’t know how much they will be enhanced.”

Rhythm: Every 2 attacks, attack speed increases by 10%.

“The hunter’s weakness is fast Movement speed but slow actions, such as vaulting walls and attacking.”

“Increasing attack speed will undoubtedly make attacks more accurate.”

Some Characteristics cannot be converted, such as Jumping Dragon Guard’s multi-segment health, or the Collaboration of hundred mountain vessel and cloud sea vessel.

Looking at these excellent Characteristics, Shi Li was now a bit conflicted and indecisive.

Mainly because he wasn’t entirely sure what this mode would actually be like.

Afterward, he chose two more skills.

After the selection was complete, a new prompt popped up.

Please choose your energy system.

Balanced: No energy, but numerical skills receive a certain boost. Rage: No energy, speed decreases when skill usage exceeds the limit. Wisdom: Full energy at the start. Momentum: Gain 15% energy when hitting a target. Persistence: Gain 20% energy when suffering control or negative effects. Chasing Wind/Wandering: Gain 4% energy per second while moving. Listen to the Wind: Gain 3% energy per second when not moving. Wither: Gain 25% energy when a fugitive exits the field. “So that’s how it is—it’s a modified version based on the Cube cards.”

“Wait a minute, why is Chasing Wind’s Recovery efficiency higher than Listen to the Wind’s?”

“And compared to others, this Recovery efficiency is so exaggerated; moving for just 4 seconds can equate to hitting a target once.”

“This seems a bit unreasonable—”

“Does Chasing Wind/Wandering refer to Chasing Wind + Wandering?”

Shi Li thought of the only possibility.

Moreover, as a rare Alien card, the Wandering system is not something anyone can possess.

In this way, wouldn’t he be able to cheat?

After understanding, Shi Li decisively chose Chasing Wind/Wandering.

Since it’s a chase-type mode, he felt it was important to keep moving.

So Chasing Wind/Wandering should be more convenient, not to mention it also has a high energy acquisition rate.

After making all these choices, what awaited him was patience.

Presumably, some people in the fugitive camp hadn’t finished selecting their personal templates yet, or perhaps there weren’t even 5 people yet.

After waiting for a few minutes, the scene before Shi Li’s eyes finally changed.

Suddenly, he found himself in a vast, starry universe, with a tiny, grain-sized point ahead, which was a spaceship.

The perspective quickly zoomed in and penetrated the spaceship’s deck, and then he stood inside the cabin from a third-person perspective.

And his character was a snail with a large shell on its back.

“It can be controlled.”

With a thought, he realized he could control this character to perform various actions.

Fugitives need to activate 10 energy devices to activate the escape ship.

Please arrest as many as possible before they enter the escape ship.

If the number of arrests is greater than or equal to 3, the hunter wins.

If the number of arrests is less than 3, the fugitives win.

The winning side will receive additional rewards. If the fugitives win, rewards will be distributed based on individual performance. If the hunter wins, he will receive all rewards alone.

“It seems there are benefits to being a hunter too.”

Shi Li had already begun to imagine the rewards.

However, the immediate priority was to start the match.

In this mode, the more fugitives arrested, the better; he couldn’t just aim for victory.

Compared to fugitives, hunters also have an advantage: vision.

Shi Li found that he could see the location of every energy device through layers of walls.

So he controlled his character and quickly crawled towards the nearest energy device.

“It seems the Charge efficiency of Chasing Wind + Wandering is indeed good.”

Looking at the energy bar growing with his Movement, Shi Li felt a bit emotional.

Beep beep!

Before he even reached the energy device, Shi Li heard a warning sound.

A figure appeared in his line of sight, through the wall.

“Sure enough, there’s someone.”

His eyes lit up.

In this mode, fugitives activating energy devices isn’t a one-second process.

Instead, it’s a channeling process, and during channeling, there will be needle-swinging electric points.

If the electric point is not accurately controlled, a small penalty will be incurred.

The small penalty would interrupt the current channeling, cause the channeling progress to recede a bit, and reveal the location to the hunter for 1 second.

The one currently channeling was an orc.

Of course, it wasn’t that his race was an orc, but rather that he had chosen the Characteristic of an orc card, so his character’s appearance had changed.

Card players who could enter the second stage were the elite of the elite among card players. It wasn’t surprising to have a few unique Characteristic cards, so everyone could have their own choices.

However, fugitives weren’t as well-off as hunters; they could only choose 1 Characteristic or keyword.

“Oh no, why is there a sudden situation?”

At this moment, the orc still didn’t know his position had been exposed; he just knew he’d been shocked.

Not every civilization had games like ’Old Six’ personality, so not everyone was prepared in advance.

Originally, during the channeling process, he was constantly switching perspectives to prevent the hunter from suddenly appearing.

But now that he knew there was a penalty mechanism, he could only stare at the channeling bar, occasionally making a small turn of the perspective.

Thump-thump! Thump-thump!

Suddenly, the orc heard the sound effect of a heartbeat.

“Something’s happening!”

He immediately understood.

So he quickly twisted his perspective.

Crack!

As a result, in that moment of excitement, the cursed electric point reappeared, and he missed it again, getting shocked.

“This thing is so annoying!”

The channeling was interrupted, causing the orc to have to restart channeling.

As soon as he turned his perspective, he saw a huge figure on the nearby turn.

For fugitives, the hunter’s physique is much larger.

“I found you~”

Shi Li pinched his throat, mimicking a perverted tone.

He was sure the other party could hear him speak.

Because he had just heard the other party’s complaint.

“What is this thing?!”

The orc’s expression changed, and he immediately turned and ran.

There was a window nearby, and he jumped straight through it.

“Such a large body shouldn’t be able to squeeze through, right?”

“And even if it could, it would be very slow.”

The orc felt a moment of relief.

But just as that thought arose for a second, he saw the large snail pass through the wall like a ghost.

Snail Walk: You can ignore obstacles on flat ground for 10 seconds, with a 60-second cooldown. From this perspective, the snail also had a bizarre human face, which was particularly terrifying.

“Surprise, motherfucker!”

Shi Li said eerily.

“Waaah!”

The orc screamed in fright and turned to run.

But Shi Li was unhurried, controlling the large snail to extend its long neck forward, then shaking its head.

“Bull Charge!”

He even gave this move a name himself.

Snails are also considered cattle; there’s nothing wrong with that.

Bang!

The orc was hit on the back by the large snail head, directly crashing into the wall and falling into a Downed state.

This wasn’t a normal attack from Shi Li, but a skill from Red Blade Maiden.

Surge - 100% Energy: Your attack this time will 100% cause a Downed state.

“Can’t run now, can you?”

He directly tied the opponent up and then took him to the nearest confinement point.

The confinement point was a release capsule, and once the channeling was complete, the fugitive would be ejected into space.

Shi Li was not in a hurry to find other fugitives.

He wanted to guard the point to ensure victory.

Guarding the point was both to ensure the opponent was eliminated and to prevent other teammates from rescuing this orc.

However, perhaps because the match had just begun, no one came to rescue the orc.

Shi Li guarded the release capsule like this, constantly moving back and forth to accumulate energy.

By the time the orc’s channeling was complete and he was thoroughly eliminated, Shi Li’s energy was full again.

“The remaining four people seem very alert; they didn’t trigger any electric points while I was waiting.”

“The map is so big; if they don’t trigger electric points, it will be very difficult for me to find them.”

Thinking of this, Shi Li knew it was time for his second skill to make an appearance.

Perfect, he currently had 100% energy.

So with a thought, he released the skill.

Jump~ Jump~ Jump~ 5

One by one, round-headed, cute Q-version zombies emerged from beside him.

Tiao Tiao Wake-up - 0~100% Energy: For every 20% energy consumed, 1 assisting search Tiao Tiao can be summoned.

Little Tiao Tiao: Can share vision, exits after 10 seconds of discovering a target. This skill is even more powerful than on the card table.

Their purpose is reconnaissance, to find fugitives for Shi Li.

According to his instructions, they would perform two commands: search and stand guard.

Upon discovering a target, they would report to him immediately.

However, Shi Li’s most outrageous thing was not his Characteristic, nor these two active skills.

It was his Chasing Wind/Wandering Charge system.

Under this super-strong Charge system, the two active skills could be used freely.

Otherwise, if energy was tight, these two skills wouldn’t actually be that strong.

So after 20 minutes of battle, he successfully captured all five fugitives on the opposing side using these two skills.

After winning, Shi Li gained a lot of points.

In addition, to his great surprise, there was also 1 item card.

Top-tier Rampage Intervention: When holding this card, 3 non-Rage System cards can be added to the Rampage Trial deck (bound).

“There’s actually such a good card?”

The moment he saw this card, his eyes lit up.

In this way, wouldn’t he have a chance to clear the Rampage Trial?

If he really cleared it, then the condition for activating Crimson Trial: Super would be met.
