My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

225: The nineteenth unique cardChapter 225: The Nineteenth unique Card

“There’s such a good thing?”

Shi Li expressed considerable surprise.

And with the official clearance, his Full Moon Mode also began to settle rewards.

“Congratulations, you have obtained 4,869,876 cubic coins.

“Congratulations, you have obtained 1 Phila Board material.”

“Congratulations, you have obtained 1 Moonlight Fiddler battle chess piece.”

“Congratulations, you have obtained 1 Moon Crystal Essence material.”

“Congratulations—”

“That’s a lot of money—”

Shi Li was first attracted by the 7-digit figure, a million-level amount.

It seemed he might have underestimated the tier of the Ladder.

But thinking about it, it made sense; this was Chess Domain’s annual limited-time mode.

Since the prize money was so high, it seemed that the Moonlight Werewolf card would certainly not be bad either.

However, for now, he had no intention of looking at that card.

Rewards popped up one by one. He had cleared a total of twenty-seven major progress points. Aside from the cubic coins, there were 27 other substantial rewards.

Among them, there were 3 battle chess pieces, all of which were excellent quality four-star battle chess pieces.

However, he glanced at them and felt they weren’t very useful for his current lineup.

They were just good quality, without any special Characteristics.

Perhaps they could be decomposed, maybe yielding some good materials.

As for the materials, with his eyesight, he couldn’t recognize all of them.

After all, Chess Domain’s materials were somewhat different from those in the outside world.

But roughly estimating, the total value was probably over 5,000,000.

Also, his initial goal for climbing the Ladder, the quest item Moon Crystal Essence, was now in his hands—not just 1, but a full 4 pieces.

“Let’s go turn it in first.”

Shi Li didn’t rush to leave the Chess Domain; instead, he chose to find Ashiro.

After this trip, he might not come to the Chess Domain for a while.

So he decided to turn in the quest to Ashiro first and see what materials he needed to collect next.

He would post a Looking to buy (seeking purchase) thread on the mercenary forum in advance, and then just collect the items when he returned.

The batch of Chess Domain materials he just obtained wouldn’t need to be sold. He could use them as bounty for the quest, saving the steps of buying, selling, getting money, and then paying.

It was just dawn. Shi Li arrived at the small town and saw from a distance that only the material shop had its lights on.

Perhaps because it was the last day of the Ladder, Ashiro deliberately stayed awake tonight.

He was waiting for him in the shop.

After a discussion, Shi Li received a 300,000 quest reward.

And Ashiro told him that actually, only 1 Moon Crystal Essence was enough.

But now that Shi Li pulled out 4, it would make the item creation much simpler.

In player terms, because he provided too much Moon Crystal Essence, he directly skipped a tier-1 quest and went straight to the next-next tier.

This was, of course, good news for Shi Li.

What he lacked in this quest was time.

The new quest issued by Ashiro was still material collection.

“Once this batch of materials is collected, I can make something to track Araga’s Offspring.”

He essentially gave a heads-up to Li Pu.

As long as he tracked and eliminated a few of Araga’s Offspring, he could use sorcery to further track the main Araga’s whereabouts.

Shi Li was not in a hurry about this; after all, no one was competing with him for this quest.

So he posted the items on the forum according to his plan.

After setting everything up, he left the Chess Domain.

Leaving the Chess Domain, Shi Li took a flying device back to the District 11 Card Hall.

During the flight, he finally opened his card player panel.

“Now I have 5,000,000, which is enough to upgrade Black Angel.”

“But let’s first look at the newly acquired cards.”

He pulled out the Moonlight Werewolf card.

Moonlight Werewolf

Wandering, 30 points, one-star attack 30, 100/100, 0/40

[Full Moon - Characteristic]: When Moonlight Werewolf’s energy is fully Charged, he can perform [Transformation] (T0)

[Moon Shadow Step - Passive]: In the turn Moonlight Werewolf is revealed, he can perform 1 [Movement]

“Transformation?”

This panel made Shi Li a bit confused.

First, as a Wandering card, he gains 20 energy for every 1 square of Movement.

In terms of Recovery rate, it could even be on par with the Listening Wind System.

But the problem was that, apart from the turn he was revealed, Moonlight Werewolf had no autonomous Movement ability.

This meant he had to use Movement hand cards to Charge him.

If it were a PVE card game, it would be fine.

But if it was a PVP game with a single hand card rule, he would at most have only 3 opportunities to use the Movement hand card, and then he would also be afraid of being Countered by the opponent.

To achieve 100% success, he would have to use it in conjunction with Demon-Defeating Dark Hunter’s Anti-Magic Tattoos, which was a bit too costly.

There was another way, which was to have his own cards help Moonlight Werewolf move.

But in Shi Li’s deck, only Flower Cudgel Leader had the skill of Knockback.

However, Flower Cudgel Leader’s skill uses were also limited.

He had also tried using Black Angel to reduce Flower Cudgel Leader’s energy cap, but the result was that even if it became 0/0, it would still be considered Flower Cudgel Leader’s energy as fully Charged.

Only by turning back again, using Demon-Defeating Dark Hunter to cast Demonbane Seal on Flower Cudgel Leader to make Flower Cudgel Leader gain ’ Lowering the flags and ceasing the drums’ (which means to lay low), and then casting Knockback would it not Charge.

But this would make the cost even greater.

What’s more, Flower Cudgel Leader’s Knockback could deal 60+10 damage with one slap, which could kill Moonlight Werewolf.

Why bother?

In fact, the optimal solution was still hand cards.

Because not only Movement, but Charge could also work.

In the single hand card rule, the opponent’s Counter cards were at most 3, while his Movement + Charge totaled 6 cards.

What’s more, like Tian Ji’s horse racing strategy, using an LV1 Movement or LV1 Charge to trick the opponent into using their LV3 or LV2 Counter would be very satisfying.

“Never mind, maybe after Star Ascension, he will gain new Characteristics and unlock autonomous Movement ability.”

Shi Li decided to ascend his star first and see.

If he remembered correctly, the Star Ascension of the Wandering System was a bit special.

It had a certain connection with the Wind Chasing System. As long as two Wind Chasing System Star Ascension unique token cards were consumed, the simulated Star Ascension mission could be started.

So he placed an order on his phone, spending 600,000 to buy two one-to-two Star Ascension unique token cards of the Wind Chasing System from the Card Hall.

Next, he would study the mechanism of the so-called Transformation.

Opening a simulated card game, Shi Li conducted tests.

The results surprised him a bit.

First, he hadn’t noticed earlier that Moon Shadow Step was not 1 square of Movement, but 1 instance of Movement.

What did this mean? It meant that as long as there was a path, he could move 2 squares or even more in one go, instantly becoming fully Charged.

“I knew it, as a unique card, how could it be so clunky?”

“So there was such a trick.”

“This way, it means Moonlight Werewolf can be fully Charged directly at the start of the game.”

When Moonlight Werewolf’s energy is fully Charged, he will transform at T0 of the next turn.

After Transformation, his card face will completely change.

Full Moon Werewolf

Balanced, 30 points, one-star attack 30, 100/100

[Resilient - Passive]: When Full Moon Werewolf’s health reaches 0, he gains 1 turn of Stasis.

Because it was a Transformation brought by a Characteristic, it somewhat broke the rule of the total number of Characteristics, similar to the fusion of bo shan and cloud river, gaining completely new Characteristics.

Then his health would reset with the Transformation.

The disadvantage, similar to the fused cloud mountain, was that it became a derivative card, subject to those derivative special attacks.

“But this Transformation, besides resetting health, doesn’t seem to have any particularly strong points.”

“And Stasis can only be used as a meat shield.”

“The problem is that he transforms at the start of the game, so even with a reset, he can’t absorb much damage.”

“Unless it’s played in the mid-to-late game, then using Moon Shadow Step’s Characteristic to move to another row to help his side absorb a wave of damage.”

“Then transform, resetting health.”

Shi Li had already figured out how to use this mechanism.

However, he still wanted to see what Moonlight Werewolf would look like next.

So as soon as he got off the plane, he opened a rest room in the Card Hall and started working with the two fresh unique token cards.

The one-to-two Star Ascension simulation quest was now very simple for Shi Li, because it was also Dimensional Intervention, and he could now intervene with four-star unique cards.

He just needed to put Red Blade Maiden in, perform two stages of transformation, and cutting down the BOSS of this level of simulation quest was like slicing vegetables.

[Wandering System Resonance]: 20% → 40%

First, the Resonance naturally increased.

Then, his card face gained 1 Characteristic slot + 2 Characteristics.

Moonlight Werewolf

Wandering, 30 points, two-star attack 30, 100/100, 0/50

[Full Moon - Characteristic]: When Moonlight Werewolf’s energy is fully Charged, he can perform [Transformation] (T0)

[Moon Shadow Step - Passive]: In the turn Moonlight Werewolf is revealed, he can perform 1 [Movement]

[Moonlight Shuttle - Passive]: Moonlight Werewolf’s Movement can cross his own cards [Raging Moon - Passive]: Moonlight Werewolf [Transforms] into Rage System “Other cards gaining increased energy cap upon Star Ascension is a good thing, but for this card, it’s not,”

Shi Li sighed.

But honestly, this card indeed had a very unique mechanism.

Even among his pile of unique cards, it was very distinctive.

He pulled out a simulated card table and tested it.

First, the Moonlight Shuttle Characteristic allows Moonlight Werewolf to move out even if he is not an outer card.

However, considering that only LV2 Movement can move a card 2 squares, and Moonlight Werewolf himself has no Movement ability, he can at most cross 1 of his own cards and move outside.

But if combined with Moon Shadow Step, he could freely pass over his own cards.

After the energy cap changed from 40 to 50, his Transformation condition became much stricter.

Don’t let the 10-point change fool you; before, he only needed to move 2 squares to be fully Charged, but now he needs 3 squares of Movement to be fully Charged.

Let’s talk about the most peculiar part of its mechanism.

That is, it can actually choose the result of Transformation by carrying Characteristics.

And the Rage card obtained from Transformation is actually quite good.

Full Moon Werewolf

Rage, 30 points, two-star attack 30, 100/100

[Abundant - Passive]: Full Moon Werewolf’s max health +30

[Brutal - 20 Health]: Full Moon Werewolf attacks 1 target and gains 100% Lifesteal (T5)

(Lifesteal: Gains corresponding Healing value)

The Characteristics are not very strong, nor are they rare; they are common Characteristics in the Rage System.

But Moonlight Werewolf’s advantage lies in being able to perform different Transformations depending on the occasion.

Moreover, Transformation resets health, which can both help other cards absorb damage and save himself.

If he doesn’t carry the Raging Moon Characteristic, then he will still transform into the Balanced System Full Moon Werewolf.

However, it’s also a two-star, with 1 more Characteristic than the one-star Transformation.

In other words, if Transformation is included, Moonlight Werewolf essentially gained 5 Characteristics at once when ascending from one to two stars.

And Shi Li could already foresee the path this card would take next.

Upon reaching three stars, both the Balanced Wolf and the Rage Wolf would definitely gain 1 more Characteristic.

That would be equivalent to getting 2 Characteristics for free.

Thinking of this, Shi Li no longer suppressed his urge to spend.

He bought two more two-to-three Star Ascension unique token cards of the Wind Chasing System.

Including refreshing the simulation quest, he spent around 800,000 in total.

The Wandering System Resonance smoothly increased to 60%.

Fortunately, this time, Moonlight Werewolf’s energy cap did not increase again upon Star Ascension.

Then, the main card face gained 2 Characteristics.

[Wisdom Moon - Passive]: Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into Wisdom System [Momentum Moon - Passive]: Moonlight Werewolf can [Transform] into Po Shi system Considering that Balanced Wolf gains 1 Characteristic, Rage Wolf gains 1 Characteristic, Wisdom Wolf gains 3 Characteristics, and Momentum Wolf gains 3 Characteristics.

Then, all in all, this Star Ascension would be equivalent to gaining 10 Characteristics.

“My goodness, I didn’t realize it until I counted, and now I’m shocked.”

However, Shi Li knew that even though it seemed to have many Characteristics, in reality, only three Characteristics could be used at one time.

When transforming, the Characteristics of the original main card would also disappear.

He pulled out a simulated card table and tested it.

If he carried two choice Characteristics simultaneously, such as Raging Moon + Wisdom Moon.

Then, when Moonlight Werewolf’s energy was fully Charged, Shi Li would have three choices.

Choose to transform into Balanced Wolf, Rage Wolf, or Wisdom Wolf.

If he carried three choice Characteristics, then the options would become four.

“I think I can already foresee what Characteristics it will gain when it ascends to four stars.”

Shi Li believed that, according to its promotion trajectory, it was very easy to guess.

It gained 1 Transformation Characteristic when ascending from one to two stars, and 2 Transformation Characteristics when ascending from two to three stars.

Then, when ascending from three to four stars, it should be the appearance of [Firm Moon], [Chasing Moon], [Listen Moon].

At that time, the total number of Characteristics added at once would reach an even more astonishing 19.

“But I don’t need to consider this for now.”

Shi Li knew this was not something he needed to consider in the near future, although money was not an issue at the moment.

After all, the New Star Cup offline tournament was about to begin, and he needed to use the remaining time to improve his immediate combat power.

What was the immediate combat power? Of course, it was Black Angel’s destined hand card.

So he spent another 1,000,000 in refresh fees and successfully obtained this destined hand card.
