STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Night Mansion:

Jeremy is going through the jewels one by one. Finally, he held the necklace in his hand. The next second, the unknown egg in his mental zone reacted.

Seeing this, Jeremy’s eyes flickered. He checked the necklace. Apart from the blue gemstone, the necklace didn’t have anything precious.

So Jeremy tried to take out the blue gemstone from it. When he removed the blue gemstone and held it in his palm, he immediately felt a cooling sensation.

The unknown egg started to show a strong reaction. It began to absorb the energy hidden in the blue gemstone. Under my watch, the blue gemstone slowly lost its luster.

”Hmmm,” a surprise flashed in his eyes.

I observed the changes in the concentric circles on the mental zone’s black door. The concentric circles represent the Beast Taming Tier.

The first inner circle, which represents Tier-1, is undergoing changes. The first inner circle has 9 sub-blocks.

Each of the sub-blocks has 3 minor sub-blocks inside it, representing the 3 stages: Early, Mid, and Peak.

Right now, the 3rd sub-block, which represents the 3rd rank, is undergoing changes.

The first minor sub-block was already lit. Now the 2nd minor sub-block is illuminating. It’s a Mid Stage.

Time passed.

The unknown egg continued to absorb the energy from the blue gemstone. When it was done, the blue gemstone had completely lost its luster and had become an ordinary gemstone.

The 3rd sub-block’s 3 minor sub-blocks were completely lit. They represent the Early, Mid, and Peak stages.

Jeremy was taken aback. He hadn’t expected the last 2 minor sub-blocks to light up as well. This shows he has reached the Peak Stage of the 3rd Rank. But still, the overall Beast Taming Power is Tier-1.

Now that the lifeline beast has absorbed the energy, he is going to get the feedback soon.

Shortly afterwards,

The unknown beast egg released the feedback energy. The feedback energy started to course through his body. His cells were greedily absorbing the feedback energy.

Seeing this, he properly sat cross-legged and closed his eyes. The genes were evolving. Because of this, it was bringing changes to the human body as well.

Jeremy sensed the changes in his body. His skeletal, nervous, and other systems were evolving.

He thought that the changes were going to be over. But he found that the 4th sub-block, representing the 4th rank, was lit as well. The changes came to a stop when the 4th sub-block’s first minor sub-block was lit.

[Beast Tamer: Tier-1, Rank 4 - Early Stage.]

[Lifeline Beast: Tier-1]

Jeremy opened his eyes after feeling the changes. His mouth curved into an arc. When he raised his head, he saw his mother standing in front of him.

”Mother,” Jeremy called out.

”What happened?”

”Did you evolve?” she asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy nodded his head and said, ”Yes, I have reached the 4th rank.”

Nora was surprised. She knew her son had reached the 3rd rank not long ago. She thought it would take further accumulation for her son to reach the next rank.

But he had reached it faster than she had expected.

Feeling his mother’s confusion, Jeremy decided to explain.

When he finished explaining everything, he saw that his mother had a look of understanding.

”So the jewel had natural energy in it. The natural energy was so rich that your lifeline beast helped you to reach Rank 4,” Nora said.

”Yes,” Jeremy replied.

”Son, except for our family, don’t share your experience with others. Lord Martha Smith probably gave you the egg of a beast with a powerful bloodline,” Nora explained.

Jeremy’s eyes flickered. He noted down the information as well. That’s why he was keen on providing more resources to his lifeline beast so that he could reach Tier-2 sooner.

”Don’t worry, mother. I’ll be careful. But I need more of these stones. I think only my lifeline beast can absorb energy from the stones,” Jeremy replied.

”You are right. It’s a really good way to get resources. If we could find more of these stones with natural energy in them, then you wouldn’t have to worry about the resources. I’ll talk to your father.”

”I remember getting the necklace from the auction. If we could find details about it, then it would be helpful,” she said in a calm tone.

Jeremy nodded to her. Then he decided to leave. The treasury didn’t have other items that were useful to him.

So he left the place. Nora Night then locked the treasury and went to the main hall to resume reading her book.

Shortly afterwards,

I hit the training chamber and started practicing the first chapter of the explosive steps.

Central University 14:

Inside the dean’s office, Carolyn is speaking to Instructor Jacob.

”The Mighty Order?”

”Are you sure?” she asked him.

She just got important information from Jacob. She knows Jeremy had gone on a mission, but she didn’t expect that the kid would bump into another problem.

But this time, the kid was clever enough not to engage in direct confrontation.

”Dean, Jeremy Night sounded credible,” Jacob said.

She eased her frown before saying, ”It’s good that he reported it to you. If he had engaged in direct confrontation with them, he would have died for sure.”

”Dean, he was worried that these people were up to something. What if their actions led to a beast invasion in City C?” Jacob asked.

Carolyn fell into contemplation. She didn’t have the power to confront the illegal organization. Only the Human Alliance could do something about it.

”I’ll inform the Human Alliance. But before that, we need evidence. Did he get any footage?” she asked.

To that, Jacob shook his head.

”It’s troublesome. We need to collect evidence first,” Carolyn muttered.

Jacob sighed inwardly. He knew that the Human Alliance would ask for the evidence. Only then would they dispatch their Beast Tamer to investigate.

Carolyn thought of something.

She said, ”Why don’t you ask that kid again?”

”If we send a high-tier beast tamer, the chances of exposure are high. As long as the people behind that illegal group know about our university, they will create problems for us.”

”But that kid has another identity. He is local there. His father is one of the city governors. The City Administration and governors are related to the Human Alliance.”

”It would be good if City C investigates this,” Carolyn said.
