STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Wilderness:

Jeremy entered the wilderness following the group. They started walking toward the destination. Jeremy heard that the location was a forbidden zone. From their tone, he thought that the place was not fully explored.

While walking, he could hear the mocking conversation of others. The woman accompanying Senior Violet kept an eye on him from time to time.

He could only sigh inwardly right now. If there was a corrupted beast ahead, he could prove his strength by killing it.

On the other hand, Violet Heath felt a headache. Her family of beast tamers was crossing the limit. If she didn’t teach them a lesson, then Jeremy Night might be offended.

Growl!

Out of nowhere, a few Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts leaped toward them.

”Beast Attack!”

Someone among the family beast tamers shouted. The university team started to defend.

Violet Heath was not interfering. She was observing everyone’s battle. These wilderness experiences were also a good place for them to train.

Swoosh!

A few of the family beast tamers deliberately let a Tier-2 beast charge toward Jeremy Night. Violet Heath’s eyes flickered.

”Miss,” the woman beside her called out.

”Vivian, stay back,” Violet uttered.

She trusted Jeremy’s strength. These people hadn’t seen his battle; that’s why they were worried.

At the same time, Jeremy’s mouth curved into an arc. He had been waiting for this moment. He could see the mocking gazes from everyone.

He took out the black katana and held it in his hand.

The Tier-2 Dog Beast with a gruesome face got closer to him. Jeremy’s heart was unusually calm. His mind was able to watch the beast’s movements clearly.

Slash!

His eyes spotted the beast’s neck. The next second, he brought the katana blade downward.

In the blink of an eye, the sharp blade came into contact with the beast’s neck.

Pfff!

The blade went into the neck smoothly before decapitating the head. Blood splattered on the ground the next moment.

Those who were watching with smiling faces had their expressions freeze. This all happened within seconds.

They had only seen the beast leaping at Jeremy. But the next second, the beast’s head rolled on the ground. When their gaze fell on Jeremy, their pupils shrank.

Now they understood why their mission had accepted this young man into their team.

”He is good,” Vivian, a middle-aged woman who was protecting Violet Heath, commented.

”You haven’t seen his actual strength yet,” Violet thought.

In the blink of an eye, the remaining beasts were killed. The group then resumed their journey. The university students couldn’t help but glance at Jeremy Night.

First-year juniors were more comfortable than them, unlike the Heath Family beast tamers. They had heard of Jeremy Night as well, so they weren’t that surprised.

On the other hand, Jeremy was witnessing the change in attitude of everyone. Especially, the Heath Family beast tamers’ contempt had disappeared.

About a few hours later,

When they were getting closer to the border of the outer edge.

Growl!

A gigantic roar startled them. When they were ready to investigate, a small group of Tier-3 Wolf Beasts surrounded them.

Violet Heath raised her hand and tapped forward. A purple dot shot from her forefinger.

Boom!

The purple dot flew in a straight line before piercing through one of the Tier-3 Wolf’s eyes.

Pfff!

The Tier-3 Wolf died before its body dropped to the ground.

Growl!

The other wolves were startled. The next second, they were completely enraged. They started attacking the beast tamers.

Jeremy Night’s pupils shrank. He saw a dot pierce through the Tier-3 Beast’s head. Then the beast died. He almost forgot that she was not a helpless woman.

But probably an A or S-Grader talent as well. With her strength, he thought the journey was going to be smooth.

The second and third-year students began to fight. They were engaged in a fight with four wolves. On the other hand, the Heath Family beast tamers were handling three wolves on their side.

Violet had already killed one, so their burden was reduced.

At the same time, Jeremy was keeping an eye on the surroundings. It was the first time for him to travel this far. They were now at the border of the outer edge.

It was more common to encounter Tier-3 Beasts here. But last time, he had come across Tier-4 Beasts at the periphery.

He was not sure whether he could injure a Tier-4 Beast if it appeared. In their group, apart from the woman protecting Senior Violet, he didn’t see anyone else.

About 20 minutes later,

The wolf group was destroyed. The Heath Family and university beast tamers had dealt with it properly.

”Ha... Ha... Ha...”

”Watch from behind, kid. Tier-3 Beasts are not something you can handle. You better help us kill the Tier-2 Beasts,” one of the Heath Family beast tamers said.

”Yes, brother is right. We are wasting our energy dealing with every beast. We should allow the newcomer to handle the Tier-2 Beast.”

”This is a good idea.”

One after another, the Heath Family beast tamers agreed. They didn’t like the newcomer who was walking side by side with their Miss.

On the other hand, he looked relaxed and casual, whereas they were bruised and tired. Some of them had exhausted their energy as well.

The university beast tamers’ mouths twitched. They realized that the Heath Family beast tamers were doing this purposely.

Jeremy Night didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He could see that there was a tactical understanding between the university seniors. They were not doing anything against him.

Whereas the Heath Family beast tamers were rude.

”Enough!”

”You are disrespecting Central University 14 by behaving rudely toward our junior. If you continue this attitude, I’ll report it back to the family elders,” Violet Heath said in a cold tone.

Her voice fell like a thunderclap in everyone’s ears. Their faces changed drastically. They seemed to realize something important and shut their mouths.

Some of them had bullying behavior. They tried to test Jeremy Night, but they failed miserably.

Their Miss represented both the family and the university, so they realized they should behave properly.
