STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

City C - Wilderness,

Several hover trucks from different directions are heading to the same location. The location is a hideout of the illegal group carrying out their activities around City C, Zone 14.

Shortly afterwards,

The hover trucks arrived at the hideout. The hideout is located underground. The hover trucks then landed on the ground one by one, right next to one another.

All the hover trucks have the same symbol of a square, which is half gold and red in color.

Boom!

When all the vehicles landed, the platform started to go underground. The platform touched the underground. The staff began to unload the items from the trucks.

Apart from the staff, there are Beast Tamers who have special badges on their forearms. Their position is higher than that of the field team.

They are exuding the aura of Tier-4 Beast Tamers. Inside, there is a lab facility. There are people dressed in white coats doing experiments.

Inside the lab, there are transparent cylinders filled with the organs of the Corrupted Beasts. These researchers are testing them.

Upon learning that a new sample has arrived, they ordered the staff to store the sample inside the freezer.

If Jeremy Night were here, he wouldn’t be able to return alive. The laboratory has equipment with the symbol of the square pattern on it.

Their backer is a powerful and wealthy person.

...

The following day,

After completing his morning routine, Jeremy decides to practice the movement technique. The explosive steps have three chapters. He is going to learn the first chapter first.

Before that, he decides to check the university’s digital library for any tutorial videos on it. It didn’t take long for him to find one.

It was not actual instructor footage, but an AI-generated video. Still, he decides to watch it. The video starts to play.

Jeremy is learning which pathways to use while practicing the first chapter. When the first chapter is over, he stops the video. He doesn’t want to overdo it.

Once he succeeds in practicing the first chapter, he will study the rest. After closing the video, he exits the mansion and goes to his training room.

The training room was specifically built for him in his childhood. It was recently renovated as well. After his awakening of A-Grade talent, his father made sure that the training room was up to standard.

The training room is located in a building outside the mansion. When he gets there, he sees that there is no one there. He simply walks up to the gate and enters the password to open the door.

Creak!

When the door opens, he walks inside the training room. The door behind him shuts automatically.

Jeremy immediately checks the black tiles on the floor and walls. He wants to test it using the starlight but he controls his impulse, as he has decided to practice the movement technique.

He doesn’t want to think about unnecessary things. He begins to read the first chapter of the explosive steps.

About 20 minutes later,

He completely remembers the pathways in his body. Then he finally starts to practice the first chapter of the explosive steps.

The speed generated by executing the first chapter will be twice the power of a Tier-1 Beast Tamer. Jeremy is gifted with an A-Grade Supreme Combat Body Talent.

He doesn’t think the movement technique will hinder him.

Time passes,

After some struggle, he is able to guide the natural energy to his legs. Suddenly, he feels immense power generating in his feet.

As long as he wants, he could burst forth with great speed. But he controls his emotions and continues to practice according to the tutorial video.

...

Meanwhile,

Ron Night learns that his son is practicing inside the Training Chamber. He decides not to disturb him. He knows that his son has come here on an official trip. It could be a week-long mission.

But he doesn’t know how many exact days he is going to stay. After some chat with his wife, he heads to the City Administration Building.

...

City A - Wilderness,

The Heath Family and University Beast Tamers returned to the city. Both teams had a few casualties. Despite doing their investigations separately, both teams came to the understanding that the previous team was lucky to have a few survivors.

It didn’t take long for the Heath Family Beast Tamers to return to their family estate. Violet Heath was in her room when she heard that the investigation team had returned.

So she quickly left her room and went to the meeting hall. There she saw the Family Beast Tamers; some of them were injured. Her gaze swept across to find the missing members.

Like she had guessed, there were casualties. Her expression turned ugly. The other elders didn’t mind the presence of Violet Heath.

Right now, both the Outer Circle Council and the Inner Circle Council have gathered here. Even the Outer Circle Council’s 4th Elder remained silent.

Earlier, he wanted to gain the limelight by using this issue. But it turns out the dangerous area was indeed life-threatening.

The Heath Family Head was here as well. He is a tall middle-aged man named Jonathan Heath.

After glancing at his daughter Violet, he asked the investigation team what happened.

The investigation team looked at each other before an old man stepped forward to explain.

About 20 minutes later,

The faces of everyone showed dreadful expressions.

”To think we are living close to such a dangerous lake. Fortunately, they are not completely land-based beasts,” Jonathan said to himself.

He now understands the dangers faced by his daughter and her team. It was lucky for them to survive, so he decides to put an end to this matter.

”Since it’s confirmed that the place was indeed dangerous, we can now compensate the victims’ families.”

”I guess the investigation report will be no different from the University Beast Tamers,” he said to the investigation team.

Hearing that, everyone agreed. Violet Heath let out a sigh. Now she can return to the university with peace of mind.
