A few days passed.

The City A people’s lives return to normal. People are getting back to their work, but the invasion war had left behind a lasting effect.

Especially on the next generation of Beast Tamers. They will take their careers and lives more seriously. Nobody knows when this type of invasion war might happen in the future.

But if they are combat-ready, they can handle it.

A similar kind of situation is faced by the cities in other zones. Depending on the strength of the zones, the threats they face are also higher.

For the top 10 zones, the threat faced by City A in Zone 14 was insignificant. Their average population strength is between Tier 6 and Tier 5.

Their elites are stronger than those of City A in Zone 14. For them, a single Tier 7 Beast is not a threat. Any of their elites can kill it.

So the news from Zone 14 has failed to cause any noise. But the matter will be taken seriously by the Human Alliance.

Their goal is to safeguard humanity and expand its territory. So any attack on the cities under their protection would be considered a loss for them.

That’s why they have dispatched a lord to solve the trouble. Because of this, they were able to protect the people and avoid losses.

The Zones are contributing powerful Beast Tamers each year to the Human Alliance. From there, they can enter the Human Alliance and continue to grow.

...

Central University 14:

At past noon, in the dorm room, Jeremy Night is looking at the Golden Refining Fruit in his hand. He had gotten this fruit 2 days ago since he had a breakthrough earlier.

He didn’t consume it right away. Looking at the glistening gold color on the surface of the oval fruit, Jeremy’s eyes flickered.

He thinks it’s best to consume the fruit when he reaches the threshold of the 9th Rank. Then it would help him become Tier 2 more easily.

After glancing at it, he stored the fruit inside his storage ring. Betsy and Daniel have changed, especially after coming from the battlefield.

They are hitting the practice sessions daily. He thought about taking them to the wilderness for the task. Since they are busy right now, he decides to take on a solo mission. He then left the dorm room.

About 12 minutes later, he arrived at the mission hall. His arrival attracted attention, but after observing him for a second, they minded their own business.

Jeremy approached the counter and spoke to the staff.

”Is there any solo mission for the first years?” he asked.

The female staff behind the counter was not at all surprised. She had heard of Jeremy Night before and knew his strength.

So without saying any nonsense, she showed the available missions on the screen.

[Mission: Find the location of the Berry Fruit growing area and then map the route.]

[Location: Wilderness]

[Reward: 500 Points]

Upon seeing the first mission, Jeremy’s eyes flickered because it’s a field mission. You just have to find the location of the fruit.

Then he can map the path and submit it. Jeremy realizes that the wilderness outside is a vast land. Nobody knows where it ends. Otherwise, people wouldn’t have been so clueless when facing an invasion.

The fear of invasion by powerful corrupted beasts is always present. So this type of field mission is equally important as the killing missions.

So he felt the reward points were worth it. Since it’s going to be his first official mission, he thinks this type of exploration mission is right for him.

Last time he was plotted against by someone in the name of doing a mission, so he decided to take a few solo missions.

Once he becomes familiar with the terrain outside, it won’t be long before he chooses a killing mission. Then he would think about forming a team.

”Okay, I selected this mission,” Jeremy told the staff.

The staff then confirmed before registering the mission.

”There is no time limit for the mission, but I can’t say the mission will always be open. There are chances that the mission issuer might take it back.”

”So it would be good for you to complete the mission soon,” the staff offered a point of advice.

Hearing that, Jeremy understood why there was no time limit. He then thanked the staff before leaving the mission hall.

He is going to make preparations for the mission tomorrow, so he began walking towards the exit. He plans to buy a few things from the shop outside.

While walking, he updated Elder Paul Lin, Betsy Lowe, and Daniel Stone about his activities. According to Instructor Jacob, a few more students were supposed to join the Striker Department.

But because of the sudden invasion war, they have all withdrawn their applications. As per Instructor Jacob’s words, their parents don’t feel confident in the Striker Department.

Despite having zero casualties and a high kill count, the stereotypes about the Striker Department still exist.

Jeremy thinks it will take a few more achievements before people’s minds start to change.

Shortly afterward, he arrives at the main gate. He shows his ID before the guards allow him to leave.

After coming to the cab stop, he began to book a flying cab. It didn’t take long for the nearest flying cab to arrive. Jeremy entered the cab and told the driver the destination.

Swoosh!

The cab starts hovering above the ground before moving towards the destination. Jeremy started small talk with the cab driver.

He wanted to know about good stores that sell necessary items for Beast Tamers.

After learning that a university student wants to enter the wilderness, the cab driver enthusiastically spoke about various shops from low-end to high-end.

Depending on your wealth, you can choose different shops.

Jeremy was able to gain a good understanding from the cab driver. Some of the Beast Taming Families have their own shops running in City A.

Their descendants study at Central University 14, so people coming from the Central University are their massive customers.

But Jeremy wants to go somewhere else. He doesn’t want to come into contact with the Beast Taming Families.
