Mission Hall:

Jeremy is looking at the available missions. Now he is able to understand why it is dangerous. These solo missions are probably posted for fourth-year students.

Because the mission location is to enter the inner edge of the wilderness. For him, it’s suicidal to accept this mission.

A wry smile appeared on his face. Then he told the staff that he would come back next time before leaving.

The staff nodded his head in understanding. Even though Jeremy Night is strong, it’s not at the level of changing the sky. Even the two S-Graders are doing outer edge missions.

So the staff didn’t seem surprised by Jeremy Night’s change in attitude.

While stepping outside, Jeremy felt troubled. He really didn’t want to waste time. He needs resources to practice.

The university will give him resources every month. But he thinks it will not be enough. His unknown egg lifeline beast consumes more resources.

He wants to see it hatch as soon as possible. He knows that the egg provided by Lord Martha is not ordinary.

If he could get the help of the lifeline beast, then he could venture into the inner edge of the wilderness.

Suddenly, a good idea came to his mind.

”Why don’t I go to the Beast Taming Association?” Jeremy thought.

Though he is a student, he can still use the Beast Taming Association’s missions.

But before that, he needs to get permission from the Department Instructor. So he immediately left the place.

....

The City A:

The city governors have all recovered from their injuries. But there is no hope on their faces. The casualties that occurred during the beast invasion have tarnished their reputation.

So much so that the Human Alliance is going to ask for an in-person report from them. But it can’t be helped. They were wrong from the beginning.

They failed to predict the beast invasion. Because of their actions, they are remaining behind the scenes, not ready to show up in public. They are waiting for the dust to settle.

If they appear in public right now, it might provoke public anger and condemnation.

...

Wilderness,

May Lindsey and Victor Scott are doing missions in the outer edge of the wilderness. Both of them have teams around them.

So there is no problem for their safety unless they come across Tier-3 and above corrupted beasts. But the group has encountered Tier-1 and Tier-2 corrupted beasts occasionally.

Strangely, these beasts are not attacking them right away. After seeing their numbers, the corrupted beasts are targeting the weaker ones.

May Lindsey and Victor Scott are accompanied by strong family members. In tough situations, they are raising their hands to help.

Time passed,

After completing the mission, the group returns. May Lindsey couldn’t help but compare herself to Jeremy Night. She wonders how the hell he survived in this place.

Though it’s the outer edge, it’s still a difficult place for them to survive. She had also used ice elemental energy to kill most of the beasts.

Even she was not sure what to do if her ice elemental energy was exhausted. She felt strong competitiveness.

Others don’t know her thoughts. According to them, May Lindsey has done her best. They also returned without getting serious injuries.

Similarly,

Victor Scott gained battle experience because of the strong family members’ help. They are strong beast tamers who deterred the Tier-3 corrupted beasts in the vicinity.

...

Class:

Jeremy Night spoke with Instructor Jacob. Instructor Jacob was shocked. For a second, he thought Jeremy might enter the inner edge, which scared him.

He forbade Jeremy Night from doing solo missions until he reached Tier-2 rank power. He knows that Jeremy can fight across ranks, but he doesn’t want to take any chances.

After warning Jeremy, he left the class. Jeremy sighed inwardly. Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone are using training facilities right now.

So he was left all alone in the class. It’s not that he is not considering team missions; it’s just that he doesn’t trust others. Last time, someone had tried to kill him in the name of a team mission.

So he doesn’t want to fall for the same trick again.

Beep!

Just as he was pondering, his watch buzzed. Someone is calling him.

Jeremy Night answered the call. The next second, he heard a beautiful female voice.

”Hi, Jeremy Night. My name is Violet Heath. I’m a 3rd-year student. I would like you to join my team for a mission.”

”If you are interested, you can come to the cafeteria near the university. I’m ready to discuss it with you,” Violet Heath’s voice sounded from the other end.

Jeremy was surprised. He then quickly calmed his heart before replying, ”Okay.”

”Good,” After saying that, Violet Heath ended the call.

But Jeremy raised his eyebrows in surprise. He was worried about the missions. He didn’t expect someone to call him at that moment.

It’s been some time since he joined the university. He knows about the Heath Family; they are one of the shareholders of this university.

He doubts she would plot against him. But if he could join her team, it would be the best. Not only could he earn resources, but he could also kill Tier-3 beasts.

Instead of joining the 1st-year teams, the 3rd-year team is indeed the best for him. He can earn resources for the unknown egg lifeline beast.

Swoosh!

Then he left the class. It didn’t take long for him to reach the university. He booked the air cab and told the driver to drop him at the nearest cafeteria.

He can understand why the senior wants to discuss outside. If they discuss inside the university, it will attract unwanted attention.

Jeremy is smart. He doesn’t want to anger unknown people.

Shortly afterwards,

The cab driver dropped him at the shop. He paid the fare before walking toward the shop. He could see it was a luxurious shop. It’s a kind of hangout place for ultra-rich people.

From this, he could tell the wealth of the Heath Family.

Creak!

He walked up to the door and opened it to enter inside.
