Pillar of Yita

The young girl finished telling the story of her past with Yoshude, and she and Fang Hong happened to walk back to the place where the Dragon’s Initial Scale was located.

Standing inside a massive natural cavern, Fang Hong looked at those dark crystals, contemplating how to secretly transport these Dragon’s Initial Scales out. But it’s not easy; these Black Crystals grow densely here, and who knows how many there are.

To extract and transport several tons of crystal stones through tunnels right under the noses of the Dragon Worshippers, they didn’t have the manpower for such a task. Moreover, although the Blood Shark Sky Pirates haven’t yet discovered the tunnels beneath Idus, there’s no guarantee they will continue to overlook this.

He thought for a moment and realized it was crucial to first contact Atira and the others to see if anyone had any good ideas.

At this moment, his Magic Guided Reactor was nearly depleted, with only about ten percent remaining. After taking a few more glances at the area, Fang Hong extinguished the Illumination Crystal. In dangerous areas, saving the last bit of magic power for emergencies is a good habit.

Suddenly, everything plunged into darkness.

At this time, the young girl also stopped and asked, ”By the way, thank you, Mr. Ade. But after leaving this place, you’re going back to the surface, aren’t you?”

Fang Hong turned around and replied, ”Yes, that should be the case. Do you have any other questions?”

”No,” the young girl shook her head. ”It’s just that, counting Mr. Ade, so many people have helped me, but there’s nothing I can do to thank you all, except to say thank you.”

Fang Hong felt a bit disappointed. It turned out that indeed, this task ends here. He thought he could trigger something different, but it proved not to be the case. Although some information was collected during the process, the gain was much less than he expected.

However, he didn’t show this disappointment outwardly, as it was unrelated to her. She was just a fragment of memory lingering here; what would she know?

”It’s okay,” Fang Hong responded in line with her words—even though he knew that even if he didn’t respond this way, it might not make any difference: ”The sealing isn’t related to you either. You’re just helping others, aren’t you?”

The young girl nodded.

However, in the darkness, Fang Hong obviously couldn’t see it.

He silently thought in his heart, what was the obsession that kept her in this place?

Was it to maintain that seal? But what was the seal actually? Why did she become non-corporeal before getting close to the seal and then returned to form after the sealing ritual concluded? It was just an empty seal.

And what was the thing that was once imprisoned and later escaped in the seal? Was it the Dragon’s Witch’s true form? But as the Dark Giant Dragon, Nikopolas perished in Ash Woods, and there was no rumor that its remains were transported back to Idus.

Its Dragon Horn remained in Yoshude’s possession, its claws were with Fanric, and the most important Dragon’s Golden Eyes were stolen by the Dwarf Haggston, and finally went to Dolifen. But he had already experienced everything about Dolifen, which seemed to have no connection with this place.

For a moment, he was confused; what clues did he miss?

Fang Hong took a deep breath, calming down a bit, and went over the information he had according to the teaching of R. In the next moment, he realized a flaw in his thinking—why always focus on the matter of the seal?

Wasn’t her initial obsession very clear?

Her obsession was Yoshude.

The person she waited for here was always Yoshude. To untie the bell, the person who tied it must be the one to untie it. Only by bringing Yoshude back to this place might they trigger the true ’storyline’ of this task. But the problem is, Yoshude has been deceased for nearly seventy years. How could he return to this place?

Or something related to Yoshude?

Fang Hong first thought of that most famous sword—the Holy Sword Galapeya, but that sword was in the hands of innkeeper Mazak, and Traveler’s Rest is thousands of miles away from here, far water can’t save a nearby fire.

Closer, there was the Dragon Knight ’Xiuma’ that Yoshude had once used, but how connected was it to the young girl in front of him? From her description, it was clear that Yoshude in her memory was just a young fellow who had just embarked on the Oathkeeper’s journey.

That is the real difficulty.

During his journey, Yoshude met several of his most important companions, including the Dwarf Hero Haggston who later betrayed him, as well as another Hero, the Archmage Kalatu, and the current Elf King of Avenquin—the father of Princess Briana.

His legend roughly began to be written in that era—

And before that, how many people knew this Dragon Slaying Hero? Most of the accounts about Yoshude collected by people of later generations also began in this period, and relics he left behind were also mainly swords and armors he used after he became famous.

But these things are of no use in solving the current predicament.

He needed to delve into her memories from the era of the Dragon Witch, to see what conspiracy the Dragon Worshippers were involved in. Unless he could produce something extraordinarily significant to both her and Yoshude.

Fang Hong suddenly had an idea and asked, ”Eve.”

”What is it, Mr. Ade?”
