Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Constructing the Defenses

”Sister, you... how do you have the same royal power as Lola now?”

At this moment, doruka also chimed in. She and Dolusam, along with Dolulu, were one of the rare sets of siblings among the elves.

”I came here because I wanted to ask the Queen if something is wrong with my sister’s body.”

Dolusam was deeply concerned, terrified that something might happen to his sister. But Serea’s answer was...

”Very good!”

As Serea spoke, she patted Dolulu on the head.

”Huh?”

”Right? I knew Her Majesty would think the same way.”

Dolulu said with complacency. Upon hearing this, Serea continued to explain.

”Dolulu is in excellent health, so there’s no need to worry. Moreover, in the future, you will all obtain this power as well.”

”Your Majesty, you...”

Doruka was somewhat incredulous. Was it really possible for everyone in the Darkmoon Clan to master the royal power?

”Time will prove everything, but for now, we need to deal with some other matters.”

As she said this, Serea looked toward the ruined vine walls surrounding the elven village.

Those fortifications could fend off some weak wild animals, but against anything else, they were...

Since she had decided to develop here, the ”homeland’s” defensive works needed to be well constructed.

It might not have mattered before, but now with the appearance of the zombies, the village’s defenses could no longer be neglected.

”For now, let’s use wooden walls combined with vines. Lola, can you help summon vines to secure the wooden walls?”

”That shouldn’t be a problem, but such a project...”

”It’s fine, it’s fine. I’ll have the skeletons help, and with everyone pitching in, I’m sure the walls will be finished quickly.”

Serea said confidently. Lola nodded in response.

”Alright, we’ll follow the Queen’s instructions.”

”Good. Then let’s get to work. Until we find the enemy, everyone must take care to protect themselves, okay!”

Serea rallied everyone’s enthusiasm.

Though she was the elf queen, in terms of population among elves and undead, Serea was no more than the head of a small village, but this actually made it easier to command everyone.

”Oh!” xN

The elves cheered.

”I’ll lead a patrol around the area to provide security for everyone.”

”Very well, have the Skeleton Archer go with you.”

Serea ordered, and the Skeleton Archer walked up to Doruka’s side.

”Thank you, Your Majesty!”

With the help of the Skeleton Archer, the elven rangers would be safer when dealing with zombies. Having witnessed the skeleton’s power, doruka was full of admiration.

”I’ll take the rest of our people to fell trees on the outskirts.”

”Alright. I’ll have the Skeleton Warriors help with transportation.”

With that, the elves sprang into action. Once they had left, Serea took two corpses from her ring.

These were the corpses of Leo and Pedori. The reason she had kept them until now was because Serea was unwilling to waste such good material for raising undead.

Blood Absorption!

Soul Reap!

After harvesting the necessary materials, Serea converted the remaining death crystals into dark energy. Then she reached out her hand toward the two corpses.

Revitalize!

With the skill activated, grey death energy flooded into both corpses. Their flesh and blood faded, leaving behind perfectly white skeletons.

Using Pedori’s corpse, she summoned a bronze elite Skeleton Warrior. Its original level of 30 dropped to 18, spirit potential fell to E, and it even lost several of its strongest skills, but it was still stronger than the average Skeleton Warrior.

The other was...

Sure enough, the better the corpse material, the better the Skeleton Warriors that could be summoned. However...

Neither of the two turned out to be a special variant, which left Serea a bit dismayed.

”Still acceptable. Here, put these on.”

Serea took two sets of Otto Kingdom royal guard equipment from her spatial ring. The two skeletons donned armor, shields, and swords according to her orders.

”We shall serve as the sovereign’s blade.” x2

”Good. On your feet, and go help everyone repair the walls.”

”Yes.”

The two skeletons rose and joined the labor force...

With fourteen tireless and powerful Skeleton Warriors joining in, the elven village’s fortifications began to rise rapidly.

”Do you need my help?”

Celia asked.

”No, Celia, come with me. I need to experiment with something.”

”......”

Though unsure of what Serea intended, Celia didn’t press for details and followed Serea into the wooden house.

From her spatial ring, Serea took out several pieces of thick leather, then placed the prepared blood crystals from the altar onto the table.

”Come now, my master armorer. Bet the dignity of your previous... previous... previous... previous... previous... previous... previous body, and let’s see if you can craft this kind of leather armor.”

Serea set a blueprint on the table—none other than the creation blueprint for the ’Blood Elf Ranger’s Armor’.

Seeing the blueprint, Celia, under Dogsius’s control, seated Serea, and then carefully studied the design.

”It’s truly a brilliant work of art.”

It was Dogsius’s voice.

”So? Can you make it or not?”

Serea asked.

”Oh, Your Majesty, as you said, betting my dignity as a parasite demon, this leather armor will be complete in just a few hours for me. If it were anyone else, you’d have to wait a whole day.”

”Very good. What do you need for the crafting?”

”Leather knife, leather shears, ruler...”

Dogsius listed off a series of tools.

For convenience, since most warriors in the elf village wore leather armor, all the necessary leathercrafting tools were readily available.

Within a few minutes, all the tools Dogsius requested were delivered.

”I’ll need a bit of Celia’s mana for this.”

”Go ahead.”

”Alright.”

With Celia’s approval, Dogsius set right to work.

Sketching, cutting, assembling, sewing.

Aside from using leather, Dogsius substituted the linen with elf fabric, a unique elven specialty, and after fixing the key protective metal plates, Dogsius directed Celia to lay out the crafted leather armor and padded lining on the table.

”Luckily, it’s only leather armor—if the sovereign wanted me to make mail, plate, or scale armor, I’d need a proper forge.”

”No need, for now leather armor will suffice.”

As they chatted and the breastplate portion neared completion, Serea noticed the two blood crystals—the real point of this leather armor project was just beginning!
