Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Corrosion and Purification

Building: Blood Well (Gold)

Level: 15

Sturdiness: C

Durability: B

Mana: EX

Description: Blood Well, a vampire altar containing immense blood power, capable of summoning, storing, and generating the power of blood.

The melodious singing stopped, and as they looked back at the Blood Well, the once green Spring of Life had turned red—a color that seemed strangely soothing. At the bottom of the spring, a red gemstone was embedded.

Through the transformation by blood power, the Tier Three water-attribute mana crystal had changed its properties. A blood-attribute mana crystal—there was likely only this one in the world...

System: Building ’Blood Well’ unlocked. Through a powerful vampire summoning, the host has received a one-time free sacrifice opportunity. This drawing is limited to rewards from the Blood Altar and items of purple quality or above.

”Damn, system, you’ve changed. You’ve become so materialistic, but I’m not that kind of person.”

System: Host has declined the reward. The reward will be withdrawn and converted into corresponding Dark Power.

”No, no, wait—I was kidding! Give me the card!”

Terrified, Serea rushed into her consciousness space. Before the unscrupulous system reclaimed the card, she locked her gaze onto a card floating above the Dark Main Altar.

System: Reward reclamation canceled. Does the host wish to reveal the reward?

”Is it guaranteed to be purple or above?”

System: Yes.

”So, a limited pool and guaranteed to win, tsk tsk. Cut the nonsense—flip it over!”

System: Revealing reward...

The card slowly flipped over, then radiated a brilliant purple glow.

System: You have received Equipment Blueprint—Blood Elf Wanderer’s Armor (Blueprint, purple).

Blood Elf Wanderer’s Armor (Blueprint, purple): ’Blood Elf Wanderer’ leather set component. Upon learning, you can craft ’Blood Elf Wanderer’s Armor (Green—Purple).’ Requires Blood Crystal, leather, cloth. Adding enhancement materials can improve the equipment’s properties.

”I already said I’m not that kind of person, but since the system insists, I’ll reluctantly accept it.”

The card fused into Serea’s hand, turning into a piece of parchment detailing the production steps. However, Serea couldn’t understand it—Dogsius would probably have no problem, though.

”An equipment blueprint, huh? I’ll try making it later.”

With that, Serea put away the blueprint carefully, then returned to reality, as there were still more pressing matters at hand.

Upon returning to reality, she was met with the sight of a massive stone structure.

It was built in three tiers. The blood-red Spring of Life sat at the top, pale red water cascading down from one level to the next, connecting all three. The Blood Well occupied around 1,600 square meters. From the outside, its main colors were gray and red—simple, yet not lacking in magnificence.

”Your Majesty, you’ve really summoned our ancestral Blood Well!”

Lola exclaimed in excitement, her whole body trembling with emotion.

”What incredible mana power—this is the strength of our Queen!”

”No wonder Lola chose Queen Serea as her successor...”

”I’ve never seen it before, but this power feels so familiar.”

The elven crowd was also shocked by the dense mana from the Blood Well. They gathered closer, scooping the red spring water into their hands and drinking it. The spring tasted sweet and delicious.

At this moment, the Spring of Life, in addition to its healing effects, also possessed mental recovery properties.

”Let’s take a look at the center,”

Serea said. Supported by Celia, she took the lead, and Lola quickly followed.

Walking up the three-layered stone steps, Serea reached the top tier—there, beneath the water, the blood-colored mana crystal stood out prominently.

System: Open building management?

”Yes.”

Serea chose to open it and saw a blood-red panel resembling a tech tree from a game, marked at two extremes.

Blood Well (Corrosion): Produces a corrosive blood spring, can manufacture ’Blood Thrall’ units (Common+), requires materials: Blood Crystal, units susceptible to corruption (humans or other humanoids). Unlocks next-level building—Bloodstone Sculpture Workshop (???).

Blood Well (Purification): Produces a purifying blood spring, can manufacture ’Blood Elf’ units (Silver Elite+), requires materials: Blood Crystal, elf race (any type). Unlocks next-level building—Blood Alchemy Room (???).

(Note: More special unit types can only be created by obtaining ’unit blueprints’ via sacrifice, and require prerequisite buildings. Buildings not included in the tech tree must first be unlocked via blueprint acquisition through sacrifice before construction.)

”This... it’s this complicated?”

System: This is the Blood Altar tech tree. Death, abyss, and Soul Altar tech trees are not yet unlocked. Please continue your efforts, host.

”Right, this is only the power of one altar—so Corrosion and Purification... are these the two tech routes of the vampire race?”

System: That’s one way to look at it.

”And the ’Bloodstone Sculpture Workshop’ and ’Blood Alchemy Room’ up there—they need to be unlocked by leveling up, right? How do I unlock those buildings?”

System: Since the target buildings are Tier Two, you only need 500 Blood Crystals to unlock—alternatively, directly obtain the blueprints and unlock construction via the sacrifice of Dark Power.

”Damn, this even lets you skip tech via sacrifice! That’s wild!”

The system did not respond to Serea—perhaps it didn’t understand her.

”Well, never mind if you don’t get it. Let’s look at Blood Elves now. I should be able to use the elves of the Darkmoon Clan to produce Blood Elves, right?”

System: Yes, and because each altar produces units differently, vampire units are created by corrupting or purifying other races. If the host wishes to produce ’Blood Elf’ units, you must consume Blood Crystals to generate blood spring (Purification). Elves who drink or come into contact with the blood spring (Purification) have a chance to transform into Blood Elves. The transformation chance depends on the amount of Blood Crystals used, duration of contact with the blood spring (Purification), and the elves’ aptitudes.

”So all I need to do is spend Blood Crystals to generate ’Purified’ blood spring, then have the elves drink or use it, right?”

System: That’s correct.

”Then what are we waiting for—let’s try.”

With that, Serea chose to use Blood Crystals to create a ’Purified’ blood spring.

System: The host has only 8 Blood Crystals remaining. Produce ’Purified’ blood spring? (Note: With so few materials added, the blood power contained in the purified blood spring will be extremely diluted.)

”Huh? Why do I only have this little left...”

Serea felt a bit awkward. Thinking back, it seemed that Little Black’s evolution had consumed the materials...

Well, it just means using less for now—what else could she do?

”Forget it, eight will have to do. Go ahead, produce ’Purified’ blood spring.”

System: Producing ’Purified’ blood spring...

(To be continued...)
