Berserk God of War

Chapter 1650: Chapter 1650: I Will Face It, But I Won’t Suppress

Upon hearing these words, Nanfeng and Ba Lie Venerable were all stunned, not quite understanding what Murong Jianyun meant, but Nanfeng knew that the voting matter was irreversible and wanted to quickly notify Pei Yuxian.

Therefore, he didn’t ask more and directly left...

Just like that, Nanfeng and Ba Lie Venerable left the Heavenly Decision Hall; of course, they left with a lingering hatred.

If looks could kill, all those supporting Sikong Jing would definitely be dead by now.

With their departure, only Dongwu and an Earth Decision Maker remained in the Heavenly Decision Hall opposing the protection of Sikong Jing.

Dongwu still stared hard at Murong Jianyun, unable to decide what to say for a moment. Next, he seemingly had no choice but to announce the voting results and start discussing how to protect Sikong Jing.

He knew the Great Heaven Decision had sent Nanfeng and Ba Lie away because he didn’t want them causing trouble nearby during the discussion.

However, just when Dongwu’s eyes were red, ready to announce...

Suddenly, Sikong Jing stepped heavily forward and said to Murong Jianyun, ”Great Heaven Decision, cast a dissenting vote, I don’t care!”

As his words fell, apart from Venerable Ba Lian and others, everyone was collectively stunned again.

What did the heir of the Soul Dominator mean by this?

But soon, everyone realized, damn it, this kid knew very well that Xi Tu just said if the Great Heaven Decision voted, he would raise his hand – weren’t these words humiliating the Great Heaven Decision and Dongwu?

Even Murong Jianyun, after figuring it out, had a twitch at the corner of his mouth – was the heir of the Soul Dominator dissatisfied with him?

Yet before anyone could say anything, Sikong Jing made an unexpected move, taking out a piece of Black Jade Paper and said, ”This is the Hundred Dominating Souls Soldier Killing Array, and I now formally offer it to Overlord Commerce.”

After speaking, Sikong Jing tossed the Black Jade Paper to Murong Jianyun, who instinctively caught it.

However, everyone was even more bemused by Sikong Jing’s intentions.

It should be known that as long as he held the Hundred Dominating Souls Soldier Killing Array, he still had significant leverage. Even if the voting went against him, he could still use the array to threaten or tear apart agreements.

But Sikong Jing handed it over at this time?

The next moment, Sikong Jing softly said, ”I am the heir of the Soul Dominator, which means I belong to Overlord Commerce. Naturally, I must consider Overlord Commerce’s interests, so I am willing to face the so-called indictment of the Qianwang Holy Tower.”

Upon these words, Dongwu was dumbfounded, Beicang was dumbfounded, and all the Earth Decision Makers were equally dumbfounded.

And Murong Jianyun, of course, was puzzled, did he hear wrong just now?

Sikong Jing actually said he was willing to face the Qianwang Holy Tower – what’s the point of this vote then, what exactly was he talking about?

”Ten days ago, before Dongwu Tianjue made the voting decision, I had clearly stated that as long as Duanmu’s son rightfully obtained the East Dominator Grand Dominator Decision position, I would be willing to listen to Dongwu Tianjue’s decision.”

”At that time, I also clearly said, I am one of Overlord Commerce.”

With Sikong Jing’s words, everyone immediately recalled what happened ten days ago. At that time, Sikong Jing did indeed say he would accept Overlord Commerce’s handling, but Venerable Ba Lian’s sudden strong return resulted in the vote.

Back then, Nanfeng and Gong Ying ridiculed him, saying he was just finding an excuse for his defeated vote.

Could it be not?

Could it be that he had long decided and was willing to face the Qianwang Holy Tower?

”That’s right, now I’ve won the vote, but I still wish to face the Qianwang Holy Tower.”

When everyone was bewildered, Sikong Jing once again emphasized heavily, with his voice echoing around the Heavenly Decision Hall.

”In this way, Murong Datian can have a reason to say...”

”Even if I won the vote, our Overlord Commerce still submits to the influence of the Qianwang Holy Tower, and thus there will be no reason for the Qianwang Holy Tower to attack Overlord Commerce again.”

These words caused Murong Jianyun and everyone else to tremble intensely.

Protecting Sikong Jing would definitely lead to a major conflict with the Qianwang Holy Tower, but if he won the vote and still appeared to submit, the Qianwang Holy Tower, despite all reasons, would absolutely be unable to further target Overlord Commerce.

If we step back and you continue attacking us, it would severely undermine the Qianwang Holy Tower’s prestige, so they wouldn’t dare.

They aim to dominate the Central Plains, but it certainly can’t rely solely on oppression...

It should be known that even the Heavenly Dao Sacred Land is terrifyingly powerful, and there are several forces much stronger than Overlord Commerce too.

”This time, the Qianwang Holy Tower unexpectedly sent one of the Ten Emperors, Pei Yuxian, probably aiming not just for my head, Sikong Jing, but things like the Qianyuan Soldier Fragment, yet if what we’re doing is beyond reproach, they’ll have no face to force it.”

Sikong Jing continued to speak, making everyone widen their eyes again.

At this moment, even Dongwu was shocked.

With a trembling voice, he asked, ”Are you willing to die for Overlord Commerce, do you want to make such a huge sacrifice for the Commerce?”

Others nodded intensely, thinking Sikong Jing’s choice was tantamount to seeking death.

Normally, after winning the vote, shouldn’t one selfishly hide behind the Overlord Warriors?

To this, Sikong Jing laughed and said, ”I’m certainly not that selfless, I would of course also consider myself, after all, Overlord Commerce currently doesn’t provide me a reason to wholly entrust my life...”

He candidly stated: You haven’t done enough for me to go all out, because you haven’t been that good to me.

Then Sikong Jing looked at Murong Jianyun and said, ”So I need the Great Heaven Decision to make another order – not to suppress Venerable Ba Lian, just to allow Ba Lian Venerable and me to face the Pei Yuxian siblings.”

”If the Pei Yuxian siblings get beaten by us, the Qianwang Holy Tower shouldn’t find any further reason for an indictment.”

The meaning is clear: My purpose is merely to face the indictment, but I need Venerable Ba Lian’s protection, there is no way I would just easily die.

”That is to say, I won the vote...”

”So after consideration, Murong Datian decided that if Ba Lian Venerable and I could win or sustain during their inquiry, the matter at Hanluan City would be over.”

”It’s their incapability to kill us, not Overlord Commerce’s problem; Overlord Commerce has already shown the greatest sincerity.”

Sikong Jing’s voice carried through the Heavenly Decision Hall, reaching everyone’s ears.

Everyone chewed on Sikong Jing’s words carefully, gradually coming to an understanding.

That is, you come for an inquiry, I hand people over and do not intervene, but if you can’t beat us, that’s your problem, don’t find excuses in the future; our Overlord Commerce has made the greatest concessions.

But since Sikong Jing himself won the vote, we obviously cannot actively suppress Venerable Ba Lian.

After understanding Sikong Jing’s words, Dongwu couldn’t help but ask, ”Are you sure?”

To him, this was indeed the best approach.

But Sikong Jing and Ba Lian were both badly beaten last night, and today they must face the Pei Yuxian siblings – this was still seeking death.

”Absolutely sure.”

”Moreover, Ba Lian Venerable and I have to let the entire Overlord Commerce see that we are only superficially submitting, we can indeed overpower the Pei Yuxian siblings publicly!”

Sikong Jing firmly replied, with his fighting intent unconsciously revealing itself.
