Berserk God of War

Capítulo 1613: Chapter 1613: Do You Believe I Can Make It Speak?

Just as the three of them disappeared at the cave entrance, the two deacons immediately shut off the barrier…

They looked at Duanmu Chun, and the first deacon asked, “You’re not their elder, right? Are you setting them up to die?”

Now it seemed likely that Duanmu Chun had said something deceitful, intending to harm the three young people entering the cave.

However, Duanmu Chun calmly said, “Let’s wait and see.”

Of course, he was nervous inside, but thinking about how Sikong Jing had managed to tame even Yin Henzi’s Absolute Night Demon Wolf mount, and recalling all his previous astonishing feats, his nervousness turned into anticipation.

Sikong Jing possessed the Domineering Soul Inheritance, actions that seemed suicidal to others were absolutely assured for him.

“But why did he take Bai Xiaojin and the other inside?” Duanmu Chun pondered secretly.

But he quickly understood, fearing it was really a test for them, if they were scared they would simply be left behind.

Taking a deep breath, Duanmu Chun waited quietly.

…

Inside the extremely dark cave of rocks, Sikong Jing walked step by step at the forefront.

Whoosh…

Suddenly, a gust of wind carrying a terrifying chill swept over.

Immediately, Bai Xiaojin and Leng Sha shivered violently, at that moment they caught a whiff of an incredibly chilling demonic power in the wind.

This was definitely not ordinary wind, but the breath of the Split Armor Flying Scorpion.

Just its breath alone could make them feel chilled to the bone, giving them a strong impulse to turn and flee.

And as they continued to approach, the chill carried by the wind grew increasingly terrifying.

At this moment, Leng Sha couldn’t help trembling as he said, “Master, maybe we should just leave.”

However, Sikong Jing still didn’t reply, continuing to step forward, he too felt the sharp chill in the wind, and was even more surprised to smell a hint of Demon Intent.

Seeing Sikong Jing with no intention of stopping, and Bai Xiaojin following with a tense face, Leng Sha had no choice but to grit his teeth and continue.

He truly didn’t understand how this young master could have such courage.

Is the Domineering Soul Inheritance truly that powerful?

Initially, Leng Sha really thought that entering the cave this time was just Sikong Jing’s tactic to back out from accepting them as disciples, but seeing them follow he had to press forward with determination.

But now Leng Sha realized, Sikong Jing wasn’t proceeding with mere determination.

Each step he took was exceptionally steady and firm.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing asked, “Leng Sha, regarding Venerable Level demon beasts, there must be powerful figures willing to take them for alchemy or some such, right? So why has the Split Armor Flying Scorpion been untouched for five whole years?”

Upon hearing this, Leng Sha was slightly taken aback.

Previously, when he introduced the Split Armor Flying Scorpion, he mentioned that it was the longest-standing Venerable Level demon beast in the Demon Beast Market; formerly Venerable Level beasts would’ve been purchased every one or two years regardless of circumstances.

But the Split Armor Flying Scorpion had been sitting there for five whole years!

Just as Sikong Jing had asked, some people aren’t after conquest but for refining or for home observation and comprehension.

Yet no one wanted the Split Armor Flying Scorpion.

After a brief contemplation, Leng Sha quietly responded, “It’s said that this Split Armor Flying Scorpion is a Mad Beast, it can’t speak and has little intelligence, its demonic power is also chaotic beyond belief.”

“Indeed, Alchemy Masters have checked it out but concluded that its properties are too mixed and chaotic, not worth the high price just for pure refining.”

“Some even bought its blood for closer study at home to see if it could be analyzed, and then decide if it’s worth acquiring, but to this day no one’s come to buy.”

“And with it being mad, it’s even less likely to become someone’s mount, utterly uncontrollable.”

Hearing these explanations, Sikong Jing had already formed some judgments…

“Someone did buy it, I just remembered.”

At this moment, Bai Xiaojin added, “I recall a master once bought it and initially it was submissive, but a few days after returning home it suddenly went mad, killed many in the master’s household, and was returned at a loss.”

Sikong Jing nodded at this, solidifying a certain judgment in his heart.

“Master, this Split Armor Flying Scorpion is just a madman, even if you conquer it, it won’t be useful, maybe we should just turn back?”

Leng Sha once again persuaded, feeling Sikong Jing was overconfident, so these words were somewhat veiled.

Exactly: you’re the master, I must say you can conquer it even against my better judgment, but if bought back it might still continue to go mad.

And this time, Sikong Jing finally gave a light chuckle and glanced back at him.

Then, Sikong Jing said, “Do you believe that I can make the Split Armor Flying Scorpion speak?”

Upon hearing this, both were stunned again.

Is this young master fond of boasting?

In their hearts, they were completely skeptical, and just then, they finally traversed the dark corridor and arrived at the cage of the Split Armor Flying Scorpion.

Inside the cave, several beads emitted bright white light, illuminating a massive scorpion.

The scorpion was enormous, comparable to a hundred horses combined in size.

Its body was predominantly pitch-black, but its carapace bore crimson veins, giving it a strikingly luxurious appearance.

Its every breath caused a rumbling echo in the cave.

Following that, the giant breath swept toward Sikong Jing and his companions, striking them fiercely, making Leng Sha and Bai Xiaojin step back two paces, their body hair bristling.

At present, the Split Armor Flying Scorpion was evidently still asleep, deeply slumbering.

Suddenly… boom!

With a sudden turn, its tail swung mightily and landed heavily in front of the three, the scorpion needle pointing right before them, its icy gleam giving them goosebumps.

Thud, thud…

Leng Sha and Bai Xiaojin involuntarily stepped back two more paces.

Their whole bodies were immediately tingling, from the intangible pressure of the scorpion needle.

On the contrary, Sikong Jing had never retreated.

He was now observing the Split Armor Flying Scorpion intently, then astonishingly shouted, “Split Armor Flying Scorpion, wake up!”

The words, though slow, resonated forcefully throughout the cave.

In an instant, Leng Sha and Bai Xiaojin’s hair stood on end, fear spreading across their faces as they retreated even further!

In the next moment, they saw the deeply slumbering Split Armor Flying Scorpion slowly open its massive eyes, its eyeballs were completely crimson, seeming to contain complex things beyond a mere pupil.

Suddenly, it flipped its body back upright, its eyes focusing on Sikong Jing.

For just an instant… whoosh!

Its enormous pincers swiftly aimed to strike Sikong Jing’s group at the entrance, while Leng Sha and Bai Xiaojin exclaimed, collapsing to the ground in shock, unable to withstand the terrifying pressure of a Venerable Level demon beast.

Yet another instant passed, clattering!

Just as the pincers were about to strike the entrance, chains within the cave sounded, halting its pincers, just stopping before Sikong Jing, narrowly missing him.
