Chapter 894: Chapter 894 Soldier Killing Chess

Yao Yuzhi furrowed her brows, deeply watching Yang Li.

Suddenly, she threw out the Soul Returning Mirror, and softly said, ”This matter concerns the three quota passers, and has nothing to do with anyone else in the Northern Land. I will send someone to find them and ask them clearly.”

Clearly, Yao Yuzhi seemed a bit helpless, her momentum slightly weakened.

Yang Li stared back at Yao Yuzhi, sneering repeatedly, ”Even if it has nothing to do with others, they are guilty of dereliction. They didn’t stop that one-armed boy with the compound surname Sikong, so punishment is still warranted.”

The people from the Northern Land twitched their mouths, this Yang Li really wanted to vent her anger on them.

This event is somewhat similar to Ren Dongmeng’s death, back then Hua Lidian’s crime was also reduced to not protecting Ren Dongmeng well.

”We can talk further once the three passers from the Northern Land arrive.” Yao Yuzhi’s voice was icy, uncompromising.

Yet Yang Li continued to sneer but said no more, instead ordered everyone to watch over the people from the North Courtyard.

Hua Meixi suddenly spoke, ”Lose a fight and call for your elders, really got some nerve, the loser wasn’t even someone who joined the battle team, really have some face.”

Upon hearing this, Yang Li’s face twitched violently, gnashing her teeth without reply.

Even if finally Sikong Jing is punished, Yang Li feels disgraced, she’ll be mocked, but it’s impossible for her to not vent her anger.

Meanwhile, Yao Yuzhi had already sent people to find Sikong Jing and the other two, then secretly talked with Hua Meixi.

”This matter is a bit troublesome, I didn’t expect Yang Li to be so shamelessly wanting to go by the rules.”

”She actually didn’t act impulsively!”

Generally, in this kind of situation, one would think of finding a way to hit back and regain face, but Yang Li wants to handle it fairly.

Just as Hua Meixi said, shamelessly calling for elders.

”Even if Yang Hua is wrong, she didn’t have the chance to act, Sikong Jing hitting back is fine, but it’s too ruthless.”

The main issue is that Yang Hua was publicly humiliated, which Yang Li simply cannot tolerate.

”Forget it, Sikong Jing indeed needs to be taught a lesson, he’s too reckless and impulsive,” said Yao Yuzhi, smiling bitterly and shaking her head, ”He needs to learn from this, in the Central Plains, not knowing how to endure can easily lead to death.”

Upon hearing this, Hua Meixi frowned slightly...

Though she doesn’t like Sikong Jing, she finds Yang Li and Yang Hua sisters even more disgusting, but some things are unavoidable, the Yang family’s influence is significant in the East Dominator Branch.

Even the Yao family, where Aunt Yao resides, is weaker by a margin.

”Aunt Yao, how do you plan to reprimand Sikong Jing?” Hua Meixi thought over and asked.

Frowning slightly, Yao Yuzhi said calmly, ”Apologize and then beat with a hundred sticks as a punishment, if Yang Li continues to be unreasonable, then I’ll suppress her, at least it will be an explanation to the Yang family.”

Although Sikong Jing is to be punished, she won’t do it too harshly.

Hua Meixi nodded, thinking of Sikong Jing’s self-satisfied face being pummeled by the hundred sticks, it felt quite exhilarating.

...

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing and the other two were unaware of Yao Yuzhi’s decision, leisurely strolling on the street.

Minglong Village, despite being at the center of the Minglong Mountain Range, surrounded by desolate mountains and forests, is bustling with people and activity on the streets.

The reason also being, this is the economic center of the entire Minglong Mountain Range.

Many items obtained from adventures in the Minglong Mountain Range are traded here, and there are specialized Divine Shuttle Ship Trading Teams from the Central Plains coming here to purchase specialties from the Minglong Mountain Range.

Over time, Minglong Village has gained a number of natives, descendants of those who stayed after trading.

On the street, Gongyang Ying had already forgotten about the earlier incident and was looking around at various goods and diverse cultures, completely different from the East Plain Northern Land.

Even the items sold at little stalls by the street are products from the Minglong Mountain Range.

Valuable jade stones, various items from demon beasts, and stalls cooking beast meat by the roadside...

Sikong Jing, too, was looking around, with a faint smile on his face, but his mind is filled with the image of Su Yuexi, longing to travel with his wife and see the world’s scenery.

Of course, besides relaxing, he’s also hoping to find something valuable.

Who knows, he might find something like the powerful hidden Demon Beast Core in the Batian Treasure Vault, but after strolling around he found nothing, seems the people in Minglong Mountain Range are quite skilled.

As for the Shadow Moon Rat, Sikong Jing didn’t go for it as Gongyang Ying expected, instead, he first let the Iron Bone Flying Vulture keep watch on it.

”Hmm, Soldier Killing Array energy.” At this moment, Sikong Jing slightly raised his brows and said.

Then he looked towards the source of the Soldier Killing Array energy.

He then looked in surprise, the energy actually originated from a group of old people by the side of the street.

At this time, they were gathered under an Ancient Pine, pointing and discussing loudly at the center.

”Let’s go take a look.”

Sikong Jing was curious, wasn’t the Soldier Killing Array quite rare? How come it seems commonplace by the roadside.

Thinking this, he called Gongyang Ying and Chou Zhan over to squeeze into the crowd.

Then the three of them were surprised to find, in the center, two elder men were playing chess, and the chess was no ordinary chess, it had hundreds of types of pieces that Sikong Jing and the others had never seen before.

Each piece represented a soldier type, and the Soldier Killing Array energy emanated from the chessboard.

The chessboard resembled a battlefield, and both sides placed pieces and fought fiercely.

Using hundreds of pieces to form military formations, then projecting the faint Soldier Killing Array energy to obliterate the opponent’s positions, the back-and-forth battle of the pieces, any piece that is defeated falls and is taken away...

While Sikong Jing was feeling excited, Gongyang Ying beside him remarked, ”I don’t understand at all, what kind of chess is this?”

Hearing this, an old person next to them laughed and asked, ”Young lady, where did you come from? Haven’t you seen Soldier Killing Chess before? This is the favorite chess game of people from the Central Plains.”

Gongyang Ying’s face turned slightly red upon hearing this, feeling a sense of embarrassment for being uninformed in the city.

Apparently, everyone from the Central Plains must know this, but they came from the East Plain Northern Land after all.

Beside them, Sikong Jing casually replied, ”We are from the East Plain Northern Land, just emerged victorious from the quota battle of the Overlord Commerce, indeed this is the first time we’ve seen this war chess, can senior please explain it to us?”

Upon hearing this, the elder immediately ceased to laugh at them, as it’s true things like this aren’t found in the East Plain Northern Land, even if they had, they won’t play it there.

And as for these seasoned elders who enjoy watching and playing chess at the roadside, they love teaching juniors, so he started explaining the rules of Soldier Killing Chess to Sikong Jing and the others.

Occasionally, other elders also interjected with explanations.

Sikong Jing occasionally asked a few questions, finally gaining an understanding of Soldier Killing Chess.

In fact, Soldier Killing Chess is derived from Soldier Killing Array, using various soldier type pieces to create military formations and play against each other, each chessboard has tiny formations crafted by Array Masters.

The pieces of both sides are placed according to the rules, and then compete on the chessboard.

The power formed by formations and pieces automatically determines winners and losers, defeated pieces signify the death in battle, and compared to a real battlefield, Soldier Killing Chess is naturally much simpler under the rules.
