Berserk God of War

Chapter 854: Chapter 854: Supervisor, Scared Stiff

”I don’t know, it seems like something is attacking him?” The second person asked dumbly in return.

Both of them were at the Peak of the Golden Body Realm, yet they couldn’t detect the presence of the Shadow Moon Rat at all. All they saw was Sikong Jing practicing his swordsmanship, but explosions always occurred when practicing his sword.

It looked like something was attacking him...

The first person stared intently for a moment, shook his head confidently, and said, ”There’s nothing, it must be some special swordsmanship. It looks weird.”

The second person nodded as well.

They didn’t believe anything was attacking Sikong Jing, otherwise how could they not see it?

What they didn’t know was that Sikong Jing couldn’t see it either; he relied on intuition and the capturing of the Shadow Moon Rat’s aura.

By the waterfall, Sikong Jing continuously sensed the way the demonic power of the Shadow Moon Rat operated during its attacks, and new meridians began forming within him, while his swordplay against the Shadow Moon Rat became faster.

At that moment, the moonlight, which had been hazily covered by the faint cloud layer, suddenly brightened. The cloud layer had unknowingly been blown away by the wind, and the moonlight was as bright as jade.

Sikong Jing’s figure, as he practiced swordsmanship, became increasingly clear.

For an assassin, darker was usually better, but at this moment Sikong Jing felt a sense of danger multiply by several times.

Pft...

Suddenly, danger descended!

As Sikong Jing’s sword lifted, a phantom whirled past the sword and struck at his shoulder.

At this moment, Sikong Jing retreated quickly, but still got a gash.

A faint blood trace split on Sikong Jing’s shoulder...

”Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, we Shadow Moon Rats are stronger the brighter the moonlight.”

At this moment, a sharp female voice came from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison; it was precisely the Shadow Moon Divine Rat within the prison.

It said, ”Under the moonlight, we become completely invisible, and our aura merges with the moonlight. You need to be careful.”

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing’s mouth twitched slightly. The Shadow Moon Rat was indeed abnormal.

Meanwhile, the two Batian Experts hidden in the dark widened their eyes, staring at Sikong Jing in disbelief, ”The one-armed guy’s clothes are torn, he’s injured... Is he really being attacked?”

The second person asked in disbelief, ”Could he have attacked himself?”

Sikong Jing’s mouth twitched. He was a genius... Even if not a martial arts genius, who would be so foolish as to tear their clothes while practicing swordsmanship? It’s not like he’s a child newly entering martial arts.

”It’s coming again!”

On this side, Sikong Jing was highly focused.

The Beast Heart was pounding, and he no longer had time to sense the opponent’s demonic power; the terrifying aura of danger peaked, knowing the Shadow Moon Rat was a Fierce Beast of the Golden Body Realm.

Sword out... Hum, hum, hum!

Under the bright moonlight, Sikong Jing’s sword burst multiple times, and in an instant, he had thrust thousands of swords, yet he was unknowingly covered in blood, his clothes continuously shredding...

At this moment, Sikong Jing realized the limitations of having only one arm.

If he had both hands, he wouldn’t be so troubled, but it’s impossible with just one.

His body had unknown numbers of cuts from the Shadow Moon Rat; if he hadn’t reacted timely at critical moments, his body might have been pierced through. Under the moonlight, the Shadow Moon Rat was simply the ace of assassins.

”No, I must find a place without moonlight first...”

Sikong Jing tightly grasped the Xuanbing Spirit Sword, and then, without a word, turned and darted away, channeling a trace of the Shadow Moon Rat’s meridian aura within, while also rotating his True Qi throughout his body.

In an instant, he darted out like the Shadow Moon Rat.

He vanished before the waterfall...

And of course, the Shadow Moon Rat pursued, silent, unseen by ordinary people.

The two Batian Experts opened their mouths, one of them slowly said, ”Did we see a ghost?”

The other one’s mouth twitched, and bewildered, he said, ”Impossible, there’s no such thing as ghosts. We should quickly follow and see.”

Saying that, the two stealthily sneaked out in pursuit, but their hearts were still pounding with fear.

The first wound could be considered Sikong Jing injuring himself, but with Sikong Jing’s body continuously bleeding afterward, it couldn’t be self-injury; something was definitely attacking him...

But they just couldn’t see it!

They chased swiftly, along the way seeing Sikong Jing swinging the Xuanbing Spirit Sword repeatedly in the forest, surrounding trees exploding, some shattering into pieces, leaves continuously fluttering...

”It’s terrifying, this thing is too frightening.” Sikong Jing couldn’t help but mutter.

Then, Sikong Jing thought to himself, ”Looks like I must quickly comprehend something to fight like the Shadow Moon Rat, otherwise it’s going to be disastrous... Or I could only break through to the Golden Body Realm.”

The Peak of the Dao Inquiry Realm was, after all, a Great Realm short of the Shadow Moon Rat, and he didn’t even know which exact stage of the Golden Body Realm the Shadow Moon Rat was in either.

Therefore, Sikong Jing now had two methods.

Either quickly create a Beast Skill belonging to the Shadow Moon Rat to possess its attributes, or directly break through to the Golden Body Realm...

But neither of these methods could be rushed; he could only fight, comprehend, and break through simultaneously.

The Batian Expert behind suddenly shivered, saying, ”The one-armed guy just said he saw a ghost and mentioned something terrifying?”

The second person shuddered violently, heavily said, ”Don’t scare yourself...”

Yet saying so, his voice was already hoarse, and his legs felt reluctant to move forward.

But being at the Peak of the Golden Body Realm, he still gritted his teeth and chased wildly, and this chase lasted an entire night.

Sikong Jing circled continuously around the waterfall, trying to hide in dark places to counter the Shadow Moon Rat...

As he gained a deeper understanding of the Shadow Moon Rat’s demonic power, and as new meridians within him were gradually developed, his speed and movements became mysterious, gradually resembling the Shadow Moon Rat.

Finally, dawn broke...

Sikong Jing let out a long breath, murmuring, ”It shouldn’t attack now, right?”

After fighting all night, Sikong Jing needed a breather, knowing full well that he was severely injured now.

However, the Shadow Moon Divine Rat from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison reminded him, ”Shadow Moon Rats under the sunlight aren’t as dangerous as under moonlight, but since you’re injured... It won’t give up.”

Sikong Jing sighed helplessly, flashed away and blocked with his sword again.

”It definitely isn’t a ghost; what ghost would act during the day?” The Batian Expert behind spoke softly.

The second couldn’t help but say, ”But why can’t we still see it? Should we send a message to Lord Yao?”

”Are you stupid? You’re telling Lord Yao that we saw a ghost?” The first Batian Expert scolded before adding, ”Lord Yao only instructed us to observe who dies, not if a terrifying thing appears.”

Having no other option, the two dared not send a message out, so they could only keep tracking.

Their task was to monitor Captain Sikong Jing, and they couldn’t lose him.
