Berserk God of War

Chapter 792: Chapter 792: Decision Maker, Old Witch

As Deacon Tian saw it, Sikong Jing’s composure just now was certainly because he thought Hua Lidian still held evidence. Sikong Jing was definitely about to change his expression drastically, displaying a look of helpless rage...

However, Sikong Jing suddenly laughed as well, not becoming enraged as Deacon Tian had expected.

This caused Deacon Tian to frown, and he coldly demanded, ”What are you laughing at?”

”I’m laughing because another steward from the Overlord Commerce is going to be doomed by Steward Hua and me,” Sikong Jing replied lightly.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a small Flying Vulture landed on the railing of the Divine Spaceship.

”Hm?” Deacon Tian, hearing this, looked instinctively at the Little Flying Vulture but noticed nothing amiss.

Thud...

Just then, Sikong Jing took a heavy step forward.

Suddenly, Deacon Tian’s frown deepened, feeling an extreme sense of eeriness...

Given Sikong Jing’s situation, he shouldn’t pose a threat, yet why was there a sense of danger emerging? But he immediately thought of something and coldly shouted, ”No, are you trying to escape?”

”Everyone listen to my command, immediately surround Sikong Jing.”

Instantly, the twenty or so Dao Inquiry Realm powerhouses he brought surrounded Sikong Jing.

Sikong Jing then stopped in his tracks, and by then Deacon Tian was already sneering repeatedly.

”Sikong Jing, I heard you’re quite the actor.”

”Aren’t you the battlefield’s Invincible God General? The way you project a strong aura is quite laughable.”

”You talk about wanting to doom me, a steward, and act as if you’re desperate enough to fight me to the death just to escape, right?”

Sikong Jing, upon hearing this, paused slightly, thinking that this guy really had quite the imagination, but he just shrugged and did not respond.

From the opposing Divine Spaceship, Lang Yiwei spoke again, ”Junior, don’t be too wilful... even your Junior Brother Sikong wants to escape. You think he can take you along? That’s impossible. Just come over.”

He was, of course, exaggerating, but Lang Yisuo still wouldn’t heed him.

At this moment, Lang Yisuo also saw the Little Flying Vulture. This wasn’t Junior Brother Sikong trying to escape, but trying to actually kill Deacon Tian.

Thud...

At this point, Sikong Jing took another heavy step, fearless in the face of the surrounding Dao Inquiry Realm powerhouses.

He really intended to kill Deacon Tian. Although Hua Lidian’s evidence had been destroyed, the latter was still not convicted thanks to someone powerful backing him. Now, by killing Deacon Tian, he intended to escalate the situation.

The Overlord Commerce was vast, and escalating the situation might attract the attention of even more significant figures within the Overlord Commerce.

Sikong Jing’s tactics were tyrannical and straightforward, but this was currently the most effective... Deacon Tian was definitely Ju Dan’s man, and since Ju Dan and he were irreconcilable enemies, killing Deacon Tian would settle it.

Not killing would still result in a bad situation, killing couldn’t worsen it, Sikong Jing naturally knew how to choose.

Watching Sikong Jing move forward, Deacon Tian ordered with a solemn tone, ”Take action, seize Sikong Jing...”

Now Deacon Tian didn’t care what Sikong Jing did; he was surely just pretending to try to escape, so he directly gave the order.

At that moment, the Little Flying Vulture flew closer to Deacon Tian, who still paid it no mind.

Time seemed frozen at that moment, a great battle about to erupt.

However, in the next instant, an old woman’s voice appeared out of nowhere, ”Everyone, stop right now.”

The voice broke the frozen atmosphere.

Deacon Tian’s face stiffened slightly as he demanded, ”Who dares to interfere in the matters of Overlord Commerce? Come out immediately.”

He felt irritated, distinctly disliking when others meddled unnecessarily.

The next moment, a ”thump, thump, thump” sound echoed...

It was actually coming from the Divine Spaceship where Lang Yiwei was located, followed by the previous old female voice again shouting, ”Tian Budian, when did you get such a big influence that you dared to tell me to roll out?”

As soon as these words were spoken, Deacon Tian was instantly stunned, looking in disbelief toward the source of the voice.

Simultaneously, including Sikong Jing, everyone else also looked over, only to see an old woman slowly walking out of the cabin of the Divine Spaceship where Lang Yiwei was, her cane producing a heavy knocking sound.

At that moment, Lang Yizhan was slightly taken aback, then shouted, ”Old Witch, how are you on our ship?”

Clearly, neither Lang Yizhan nor Lang Yiwei knew how the old woman had appeared in their cabin.

Upon hearing this, the old woman coldly swept her gaze over Lang Yizhan, then ignored him and looked toward Deacon Tian, ominously saying, ”And the matter of Overlord Commerce, do you think I, as the Decision Maker, don’t have a say?”

As soon as these words came out, Lang Yizhan was dumbfounded. A Decision Maker?

Perhaps others did not know what a Decision Maker was, but as a distinguished young master within Zhanwu City, Lang Yizhan certainly knew about the presence of stewards and decision makers in Overlord Commerce...

And the latter held a position above the former.

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing furrowed his brows deeply, unable to discern whether this decision maker was friend or foe.

But evidently, the combat power of the old woman Decision Maker far exceeded that of Tian Budian. This was indeed getting troublesome.

Across from them, Tian Budian’s mouth twitched repeatedly as he asked, ”Elder Ge, how did you also come here?”

Clearly, the appearance of the old woman was beyond Tian Budian’s expectations; he was filled with confusion. What did Elder Ge mean by coming here, and how did she know that he was planning to take down Sikong Jing?

Indeed, the action to take down Sikong Jing had been done by Tian Budian on his own.

Elder Ge still advanced slowly, coming up to the brothers Lang Yiwei, and replied, ”I’m here to stop your nonsense, the charges against Hua Lidian have not yet been defined, and Sikong Jing is still a genius on the Thousand Tyrant List. You can’t take him.”

Upon hearing this, Tian Budian’s eyes gradually grew colder.

Afterward, he took a deep breath and slowly replied, ”Elder Ge, the chief decision maker of East Plain West Land, it’s just...”

Elder Ge did not let Tian Budian finish, interrupting firmly, ”This is East Plain Northern Land, not East Plain West Land.”

”The matter concerning Hua Lidian and Ren Dongmeng will be judged by us decision makers in the end, it’s not your place to take action privately.”

The next moment, she pointed towards the Dao Inquiry Realm masters surrounding Sikong Jing, and coldly spoke, ”All of you, get down from here, or don’t blame me for handling things according to the rules and dealing with all of you.”

All the Dao Inquiry Realm masters were from Overlord Commerce, but they were also Tian Budian’s people, who, upon hearing this, didn’t move.

Tian Budian clenched his fists tighter, staring at Elder Ge, and eventually said, ”Since Elder Ge commands, all of you stand back.”

Upon hearing his words, the Dao Inquiry Realm champions could only retreat behind Tian Budian.

Seeing this, Elder Ge’s grim face somewhat relaxed, then she looked at Sikong Jing again...

”Sikong Jing, the current situation is that you’re accused of conspiring with Hua Lidian to kill Steward Ren Dongmeng.”

”But currently, there’s no concrete evidence, so Overlord Commerce will not deal with you for the time being. You can still participate in the Overlord Commerce quota battle and can still freely stay within Zhanwu City.”

”However, the decision report should be out in these two days; we will not let you leave Zhanwu City half a step further.”

Upon hearing Elder Ge’s stance, Sikong Jing’s eyes slightly shifted.

But he quickly figured it out—it seemed Elder Ge was there to help him, probably standing in favor of Hua Lidian, except the pressure from Ren Dongmeng’s mother was too great so for now she could only promise temporary neutrality.

Thinking this, Sikong Jing replied, ”Of course, I came here to participate in the Overlord Commerce quota battle and naturally won’t leave Zhanwu City. Moreover, I am looking forward to meeting Steward Hua.”
